GTBank for Android
I've noticed great improvement from last time I checked it out. I'd like to suggest an addition. There should be a notification when there's activity on the account; Not necessary sound, it could just be a number on the app logo like when you have a new msg or interaction on Twitter app- stating the number of activities in it. Good job!
Good update to the app. Just a few things I don't get though. Why does one still need a 5 digit code to be sent by SMS to confirm transactions. Can the app itself not handle this? Secondly, why is the app now as heavy as 20MB? Questions... questions...Give us a native Android app GTB!
This app provides an alternative to the physical visit. I love the UI. It's seamless, fast and you can navigate the different services so easily. And most importantly complete banking transactions without hiccups. The only thing left would be offline availability (without trading security, ofcourse). Would recommend any day. Great job GTB. Absolutely fantastic!
Maybe you need to see firstbank app. You have both options of token and pin just click which one you need for that transaction. But if you have exceeded 50k for the day you will be requested to use token and it's for security reasons. It's just perfect that way.
Although the app is easy to use. I have been unable to use the transfer features whether by pin or token verification. Trying to use this feature several times have caused me to be locked out of my account. Please fix this, it's very useful and will be be better if we can use it on the go instead of looking for a pc every time we have to pay someone.
You now get it, it's my device I shouldn't have to go thru stress each time looking for my token unless I want to use someone else's device. Now that it uses pin authentication and would require further authentication on someone else's device, It's just perfect that was smart. Only thing though (my own view) you should retain the security question and answer just in case there r prying eyes. If you don't have this app and u are a GTBank acct holder, I just feel sorry for the stress you must be going thru.
This is difficult to activate compared with First bank app. I cant find sign up mobile banking is only under mwallet. Now complaining my number is registered that I should call. At whose cost? I should be able to resolve it on your app. Since you have my phone number and email. Do something please.
My best mobile app but please add a way to *delete multiple beneficiaries* at once while still using the pin. Its very frustrating and time consuming deleting non-useful beneficiaries one at a time. This done, you get 5 stars.
The size of this app is 28.8MB and its too big. More so the screen hangs on me whenever I want to do some important tasks like sending a customer care request, etc. Banking apps has to be small in size,fast, and efficient. Zenith bank app, stanbic bank app are less than 5MB. You guys should follow suit.
Great app. You'll have to fix this though - I have noticed that using the mobile recharge option, I have two (2) method - direct and beneficiary. The early isn't working and for the later, I need to add a beneficiary to the list before having access to the beneficiary list and this encourages duplicate entry.
I have complained in every way and avenue I know that my mobile wallet isn't working again. I got promises all the time with no results and later no response. Gone to the bank severally, called gtconnect severally, mailed from website and tried the online chat. If cant get it to work back, please I ll appreciate my balance on the wallet be sent back to my Gtbank account. I expect a response this time. Thank you
This update is too slow. UI is dragging and breaking. Some frames or windows don't fit my screen very well. And most importantly, I updated to this version so as to use the PIN feature, but why do I still get "Token not Activated" alert when I try to carry out transactions. I am sure I did the setup well. I even got the 5 digit activation code via SMS. It all went well. So what could be wrong? And this app is not a native android app at all, just too broken for my liking.
Good but still needs a lot of improvement. The mobile wallet part is not very useful. It tells u your account is locked to another device, then u try again and it opens. U still can't transfer to a bank acct.It doesn't indicate when a transaction was not successful. There is no way check on ur old transactions.

However but not always I get error messages like "unable to establish a connection" and "transaction in progress" this remains unchanged until I delete and reinstall. Kindly check.
The GTB mobile banking app is dangerously misbehaving. It transferred a huge sum in error. Technology unit can't explain even after 8 days! Several calls to customer service yet no explanation! Use at your own risk!!!
When the transfer is successful it does not show the account number, account name and the bank name. It will only show transfer successful. Try and work on that aspect so that it can serve as a real proof of payment when trying to convince the person the money was transfered to.
I will give the 5 full star when I can successfully login to the mobile
This app is useless, it takes forever to open and when it does doesn't work properly. Sometimes cannot even display the login page. It's a waste of time and space. Gtbank pls develop an app that actually works
I am a new customer of the bank and wanted to check out my bank details through the app... It required an internet banking id as well as a password which attempts to obtain have been futile
Finally i can generate a pin to execute my transaction without paying for token. The fact that i can also save beneficiary act details without getting to impute act details each time is a great idea. 5 star for Gtbank on this update. Easy, fast and smooth.
This application is useless since it cannot perform common bank transfer. It draws useless line on my phone, I don't like this version at all, this is the worst banking application I have ever seen. It is not comparable with the old version. Can someone tell me how to get the old version.
Recently, GTBank asked us to lock this app to a device. It created a furor. The process wouldn't even work as the OTP wouldn't come through (still won't). OK, a slip up. Now they've fixed all that and it's obvious you aren't locking your account to a device per se. It's an added layer of one time security for ANY device that accesses your account and afterwards, the added optional benefit of not have to use a token for subsequent transactions. But why not state this in the new update note?
This Apps is the best. I will advice u not to read other peoples review on this. My reason is probably their connection is not good or they don't have patience. This is a software that dose everything. Gtb Mobile Rocks
It's a very cool app I perform most of my transactions using this app n it's most convenient for me... First of all I am not the in-hall banking kind of person so using this app makes everything just easy... Thanks GTBANK for dis app...
Doesn't log me in using this app, whenever I inserted my login details, it will load for a while and the would stop without any complain Meanwhile I was able to login using d bank desktop computer.
I have not been able to access the application for quite sometimes despite deleting and reinstalling. The application used to be great and helpful untill recent when it refuses to launch. What should I do?
The deficiency of the app is that I can not request for my statement of account to my email such that I can print at anytime, and must it register any person I want to make transfer to. Other banks will just go on with the transfer but because you want to make money from every least opportunity, you keep on registering numbers that are not necessary.
Pls add fingerprint loggin option for those of us with Samsung S5, S6-S7edge. One should not be stressing to key-in digits when our brothers with iphones enjoy such seamless option. Moreso, give us an Android native app. Google is already offering this option to some native apps. Overall, you guys are doing a good job.
Thanks for listening to the complaints from your customers. This latest update is good but locking my app to a particular phone is uncalled for. At least you know the erratic status of Power in Nigeria even though all power belongs to God. Please work on this. Thanks.
The app had been fine until someone came up with the "brilliant" idea of rocking the boat. How could you lock the phone to one account? I have 2 accounts and now I can't do mobile banking on the other account! Again, using the token and using a PIN should remain alternative options to choose from anytime you want to make any transaction rather than forgo the other alternative when registering. This "locking" update is really a bad idea. Please revert and you can have my 5 stars.
This is a great improvement! The idea of an alternative digit pin to token is a welcome idea. Thank you. I will, however, give you 5* when my beneficiary phone numbers stop disappearing. Believe you will fix this.
I appreciate the effort you guys put into the new update but you aren't there yet cos after switching to the pin option,the app still requests for a token while trying to make some transactions like..airtime purchase etc.Please fix that.
Fast and easy to use. Transaction alerts almost real-time. However, I wish response to requests and complains through the app could always be effected quicker and without the customer having to visit any branch. Lovely app notwithstanding.
I have been unable to transfer money, the app misbehave and shows divided screen. Can only see my account balance
The app does not allow for sending complaints in-app. It kept popping up a notification "unable to connect to SMTP host". Very embarrassing.
After every upgrade I'm not able to sign into my account again. I'm not going to do an upgrade again. You guys should please fix this. I don't need to call customer care after every update/upgrade
Really guys? What the heck is error receiving password? It was working just fine until the new upgrade. Fix it please
The token is what you guys need to seriously work on if you want to achieve 5 stars. With First bank, you have the option of either using your hardware token or a pin, which makes banking simpler.
I liked it better before the update, now it is really slow takes me a very long time just to login.. Keeps tell me "error receiving password" fix it please.

The use of this app is just the definition of smooth transaction especially with the personal pin that can be created without using a token. That token was real headache, had to always take it along with me wherever I go. I just reinstalled the app because I was told it was way easier than before. The website can also be a headache. This is just smooth, well done Gtb, you always impress me. Good job, keep it up.
