5x5 - Madcow & Reg Park for Android
It's ok. There is a big problem though, the Madcow description in the app says it is designed to increase in weight by "5 pounds / 2 kg" every week. However the app actually increases by 5 kg every week if you choose kg and it's a massive ball-ache to manually override the weight on each set every time. So the app doesn't proportionally increase weights on the kg setting - it calculates kg numerically the same as it does for pounds but in real terms you're lifting over twice the actual weight (2.2 to 1 conversion). Because of this I've only ran it for 6 weeks because I've effectively done 12 weeks worth of work in that time. Going to look for something accurate instead.
DON"T USE THIS FOR MADCOW. It's missing the heavy Squat set on Monday.
App is nice and easy to use but you should take another look at the template for the program as the progression and all is not how it was prescribed to be in the orignal program.
I think I need a little easier weight input, that's the only thing I would change
Some nice features but stronglifts 5x5 app has no stupid video ads or ads at the bottom of the screen. Nothing like lifting and having to sit through a video ad to throw you off before your lift.
Excellent app especially for barbell strength training. Well designed. Straight forward to use.

I like the idea, but the interface is lousy. Making your own routines can be done but it's unintuitive and more difficult than it needs to be. Hitting the back button on your phone often kicks you out of the program rather than taking you to the previous screen which is irritating. My biggest complaint so far is that if you accidentally check off a set during a workout you can't uncheck it. So yeah, the idea of the app is great, but it's frustrating to use.
When choosing kg for weight it only shows as 2kg 1kg etc not how it should be with increments I. E 2.5kg 1.25kg for lower weight. I was going to purchase this but this is a massive flaw
You've got it set to Monday, Wednesday, Friday being the same routine each week. Where is should be workout A, workout B, A, B, A, B. Unless I'm mistaken?
Great overall. Huge list of exercises. Would like to be able to add exercises for the few that are missing though
Easy to keep track of workouts and can add exactly what plates you have available. The collection of exercises is good for people just starting out as well with videos to help
Only complaint is the workout database.

On stronglift 5x5 it should give week one workout A B A and on the week two BAB it does not it always gives ABA thats why cant use it.
Not as polished as your wend wendler app. Integration between apps would be nice to share max #''s etc. Also needs assistance work!
Run stronglifts 5x5 app while back, great app also. This app brings a few programs together in one app. Not many ads yet and fairly easy to use

I'll start with what the app doesn't do: Ir doesn't build the program for you after you enter your 1 rm. It doesn't auto-increment your weights. It doesn't even store your weights from your same workout last week. You have to manually enter everything off of what the madcow excel sheet plans for you. As soon as Madcow gets added to the official 5x5 app, this one is getting uninstalled.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but what's the point of inputting starting weights when I still have to manually select the weight for each set? It's not helping me calculate the increments for each set when I choose to do Madcow 5x5. Also, having the timer count up to 5 minutes and ringing after a set amount of time would be helpful for people who want to rest more. Be able to change the default settings for preexisting programs would be helpful.
This app has everything I needed to start lifting. Love the videos!

The whole weekly workouts
I really liked the Wendler log, and expected this to be of the same standard. I just don't get why it asks for my lifts, but nothing calculates inside the Madcow section, I need a app to tell me what weight I need to lift lol

Decent. One thing I'd like is to have the clock between sets show in the notification bar like the stronglifts app. Very useful for watching time while out of the app. In general the stronglifts app has better functionality and features.
