As a first time user, I was confused at points. Overall, I think you're lacking in familiarity and IA. For example, "filter venues", I wasn't sure what filters I could use, whether I could enter a neighborhood, street, etc. I had to punch several things in to figure out it was only by restaurant title. The design is so flat, it's hard to use any mental models I have. Love the concept, hire a ux designer!
