Drifta (Wi-Fi)

Been working alryt for a while on my android phone. The authentification message think sucks big time. Today cant watch my super rugby because there is a server error apparently. Fix these issues. A device should authenticate only once.

This app with the drifta is terrible the autentication message is a bad idea sometimes it works sometimes not just make the thing connect. the pc does not use any internet connection authentication why o why Does the android device need it?

Running Android 4.1.2. Drifta is right next to the tablet and powered on, WiFi active on the Tab, but not finding Drifta. Keeps asking for rescan. There is no "Auto Network Switch" settings on the WiFi settings. Waste of time.

Terrible! I have to connect to the Drifta using Wi-Fi, which means I do not have an internet connection any more. Then it wants to authenticate using the internet? This is not possible! How can you seriously have this app public?????

Great app on kitkat, but I've updated to lollipop the app starts up and the goes blank. Please fix. Also if you guys can remove the Rooted verification and sending request over network each and every time. Thanks for the service.

The number one thing I hate about this app is, "sending a small authentication over the internet". Why must it authenticate every time. Why not once in a week or once in a month. Moreover, it doesn't work with all phones. I condemned my first phone because of that. Again, if you can include other news channels like Aljazeera, it will be fine. And TBN for those who are interested. We wouldn't mind paying a little extra for the service.

I downloaded the app and it connects to the drifta via Wi-Fi but the app does not pick up the drifta and keeps telling me to rescan even though it shows on my Wi-Fi list as been connected. Please advise as well as how to access gotv mobile

The App is no longer connecting to the channels on my Galaxy Note 4, it always asks to rescan please fix this. This is an absolute joke, and to make matters worse no one ever responds to the posted reviews.

Every time you try to connect there is an issue. This is a real pain. Would not recommend to anyone. ..

Can't get why you guys don't want to improve, was fun initially but now it's become boring. No improvement in the apps interface and programming. More channels and a better interface would be appreciated.

Can't use it with a note 4 Samsung on WiFi. Don't waste my time. Very unfair.

For those that has an issue with the device connections, I will help u out pls pay attention..... Lunch the app first and let it too authenticate then a message will pop up and say no drita found, then switch on ur drifts and connect it try wifii then u are good to go

This is bad. The Android app isn't working. It can't authenticate. And it can't connect... Rubbish service... Dstv mobile is the worst run multichoice department.... They need competition... From rubbish channels to useless apps... I wasted my money

How does this app works on deep rooted phone? This app is not working on my htc 610 cos is rooted, is there any assistance u can offer to make d app work on my htc. Thanks

Keeps saying connection failed but it is connected to my wifi. Plus who thought it would be smart to have to send a bloody authentication over the internet when you are connected to the Drifta. Come on guys it's small bugs that are clearly not being fixed. It's not rocket science just basic code problem solving. You pay your ass off for dstv. You'd think they would fix all these simple issues. The version on my ipad luckily works. Only reason why there isn't just 1 star...

Why does the developer not understand that authentication requires internet, but wifi take preference so there is no way to get authentication. Stupid app from a narrow minded developer!

Please up your game Dstv. Not my device but your app. Can not view any channels. Reset and rescan did not work and my device is not broken

The trick is to run the app and wait for authentication. Once done switch from data to wifi and connect to the app. Do this by switching screens do not close them. Select your dstv wifi device and you will be in. Select channel and start watching. Worked on my galaxy tab 2 Samsung S4 and LG G4 Beats and the Laptop

Yesterday it was working fine but today it can't Authenticate. Why do we have to Authenticate each time? But Windows phones don't need authentication

What a joke. Wont run on a rooted device, DSTV needs a wake up call.

I have a android tablet.Although it's a android device it doesn't work it connects and everything, but does not allow me to watch because of a error that says "A unsupported accessory has been attached to this device"?? Please make this app accessible for a wider variety of devices! The rest of the poor reviews say it all.

Please help. I recently upgraded my device to LG G4 and now i can't use my drifta anymore. I'll rate it 5 stars if you can upgrade your app

If there was no star option I was gonna choose that one. How can the app send a "small authentication" when it's connected to the device?? How the hell can it do that? The head of development must get fired. Clearly.m he/she is sleeping on a job.

Installed app on Thursday to view world cup quarter finals on holiday. Tested fine. Now when I want to watch the All Blacks game - I get a device not supported error. Thanks for a crap product. Why so many security checks in place I will never understand...

I have been using this App on both my ios and android devivices since the inception of drifta but suddenly it stoped workin, it says "cannot connect to the channel" I took my drifta in to be checked, wen they test it on laptop thru usb cable it works but not on my devises, was issued a new one but still the same. I think there is a problem with liking via WiFi. The developer needs to fix this with an update. I'm missing out a lot and also losing by paying for zero servive

Very poor. Doesn't let me watch all my channels. Gives pop-up message to state you must authorize the app before you can watch, but there is no such function on the device or the phone or the app. Then off course you can't get hold of dstv on their call centre, and their self service doesn't give assistance on the drifta decoder. So it's pretty useless overall. Bring on Netflix

worked well until it decided to display E16-4 error message for just about all the channels I'm interested in... mind you, I payed for this.

Just connect to the app with WiFi off and authenticate. Then while the app is running connect to drifta via Wifi by selecting rescan and it should show your drifta ,select it and connect. Channels should show. Worked for S5 and s6

Not so great. Struggled to give it 2 stars. Doesn't work on a rooted device... Spent more than 4 days trying to get it working... Eventually sorted out, but found that the bloody software detects rooted devices. I own my device, I have the right to be the administrator thereof. My phone, my rights...

App needs to authenticate with Drifta and on the internet. Cant run both wifi and gsm data simultaneously. If you try cut over after device has authenticated, drops everything and fails. Some work needs to be done on that process.

I can't watch dstv if i don't have data or airtime, but on blackbarry work's perfectly without it . For that i will give it 2 stars, plz fix it

It works fine when it chooses to connect. Which is not very often. It needs more work to be done. IOs platform does a beta job in this regards

Only if you have a drifta. You should put more channels on like disney,nickilodeon,disney junior and disney xd . Not just disney xd. Everybodys saying it sucks! So you should buck up . Stop being so cheap and do what the people wants. Hope you get it!but i still love it......thank u

Downloaded it on my tablet,connect to the drifta,it shows the channels,but channel don't want to open,and dstv guys don't have a clue,wow that's bad

Mr Developer, I like the App, the App works fine on my Android device. Then I tried to connect a HDMI cable via MHL so I can see the screen on TV. that's when it shows this error message: An unsupported accessory has been attached to this Android device. please disconnect the accessory and try again. now can you please investigate and fix the bug if the there is no legal constrains behind it. it would be a nice feature.
