About Count My Cigarettes

The application is designed to help people who smoke to control and reduce the number of cigarettes they consume.
Every new cigarette is registered by clicking a button. The app shows how much time has passed since the last cigarette was smoked, daily consumption, financial cost, etc…
The app will probably not force you to stop smoking immediately, but it will help you to have a reasonable time interval between the cigarettes. You can also set a daily limit and try not to exceed it. An you might even be shocked to see how much money is spent on cigarettes every month.

A really good app. I've gone from 30p/d to 15p/d in 12 days and today I've lowered the bar from 15 to 13, not a lot, but I've been smoking for 50 odd years and to cut an extra 2 off my daily intake is a big step.

Nearly perfect Great app to help me see how much I am smoking without any kind of judgement or health warnings, as if I didn't already know that smoking is unhealthy, and no longer socially acceptable. Taken away one star as unable to delete or amend a cigarette if I've accidentally hit the button. Could also do with more analysis on the history. Ie. is there a time of day or day of the week that I tend to smoke more.

I really love the app it's really helping me quit smoking. In 2 weeks I've gone from about 30 a day to 12 a day. I also appreciate that it doesn't make you feel bad for having a cigarette. It doesn't try to shame you into quitting. The only improvement I can think of is I would like to be able to go into previous days to review the data; to get an idea of what time a day I'm smoking more and smoking less. I don't pretend to be tech savvy so maybe I missed how to do this on the app if its an option.

Awesome app! Doesn't put me down for having a cigarette like many other apps and full 5 stars for Devs listening to everyone and making their app flawless!!

This is brilliant app. Now they added the button to manually add a ciggy it gets 5 stars from me

Just what I need, would like to see a 4x1 widget that let's you add cigarette.

Records the number, the time and the cost. No guilt, just knowledge. Nicely developed app.

Please take off the minimum 3 minute buffer. Sometimes I smoke without my phone on me and it would be nice to be able to retroactively record my cigarettes. Also, maybe an "end day" button? I'm often awake after midnight and my late night smokes roll over to early morning smokes.

...but where's the menu button? Follow-up on response from app developer: Thanks, my phone (Nexus 6p) has no such button. Thanks for the follow up. Love the app and hope you are able (willing) to come up with a settings solution...but also appreciate the free-ness of your app.

I love the simplicity of this app, and I've been using it consistently for a couple days now, but I think I accidentally put the wrong cost for a pack. Will it let me set the cost again once I finish the pack or am I going to have to uninstall and start over?

The widget should be scalable and have a +1 button, it's a pain to open the app everytime and sometimes I just give up..

F70%
by F####:

I like that the app does not ask for any rights on my phone and just does what it promises. It's really good and helpful. Thanks! (B.t.w.: have not found a menu or settings possibly on Samsung S6, but what I need works...)

Finally found a app that will help me stop smoking

Really wish I had access to the menu. I think all new Android phones no longer have a menu button. I have a s6 and m9

LG G3 & LG G5 : the widget won't activate the app. always. only some times.

I'm liking it so far, but where is the menu button so I can retroactively add cigarettes?

No menu button

N70%

Per the review previous to this one you told the person they could retroactively add using the menu button. ... There is no physical menu button built in to newer devices, and so no way to access the menu unless you, the developer, add a "soft menu button" to the app screen layout. Cheers!

The visual impact of seeing cigarettes lined up is more effective than the plain graphs in other apps. It's good that you can add a missed cigarette, but there's no way to edit/delete an entry. It would be helpful to be able to customize the hours for a day to start & end. The worst "con" is the battery drain. I even tried removing the widget & just using the desktop icon to open, but it still shows a high percentage of battery usage.

Can't add cigarettes in a batch?

K70%

What I like about this app, compared to many other smoking apps, is its simplicity. I already know smoking is bad for me and I just want to monitor my habit and gather data leaving me to make my own decisions. I do not need an app to be judgmental or patronising and this is not. Count My Cigarettes does all I ask with no adverts. I actually smoke less than I thought I did!
