This app is designed to help identify the 50 most common weeds in the home landscape. The 50 weeds are listed in alphabetical order by scientific family names, and within families by scientific generic and specific names. Each weed listings contains full color photos and a description about the weed including location and occurrence. A PDF version and hardcopy of this field guide can be purchased online at extension.usu.edu/weedguides/.

Clicking around the menu results in an overlay of the page you clicked but won't bring it fully, although it doesn't happen all the time. Get a higher level IT student to check the bugs. Otherwise not bad for an extension app, but definitely a niche market. Maybe find a 4H group or Natural Resource students to get better pictures as a project and possibly more species. -- Also Utah should be in the name as US didn't translate to Utah State immediately.

I've just installed this app and it seems like it has a solid start. It has pictures (although they are pretty small) and lots of information. I'd like to see a lot more plants added to it (50 is a nice start, but it's not a lot). Additionally, the pictures would be more useful if they could be enlarged by the user so more details of the plant could be seen in the pictures. So, let's keep working on this app to make it even better!
