About USPS MOBILE®

Access popular USPS.com® tools on the go with the “USPS Mobile®” app: calculate shipping prices (limitations apply), find a Post Office ™, look up a ZIP Code™, schedule a next-day pickup, request USPS to hold your mail, access Informed Delivery® to track packages and digitally preview incoming mail, and more.

• Check the status of shipments sent using Priority Mail®, Priority Mail Express®, Certified Mail®, and certain other delivery services. Nickname your shipments and sign up for text and email alerts to notify you of the delivery status.

• Calculate a Domestic or International Price to determine how much postage you will need when you ship a letter, card, large envelope, or package (limitations apply). Choose retail or online pricing, add any extra services you need, and view the total, too.

• Find USPS® Locations when you need to get to a Post Office™, Self-Service Kiosk (APC®) or collection box with an easy-to-filter locator. The USPS Mobile app uses your device’s GPS to show your closest options on a map, along with their Regular Hours, Special Hours and Last Collection Times, and provides mapped results with driving, walking, or transit directions.

• Look up a ZIP Code™ for any U.S. or Canadian address.

• Schedule a free next-day pickup and have your Letter Carrier pick up Priority Mail®, Priority Mail Express®, Global Express Guaranteed®, or Merchandise Return Services shipments from your home or office during regular mail delivery.

• Request Hold Mail Service while you’re away, and we’ll keep your mail at your local Post Office™ for you to pick up or be delivered by your carrier when you return.

• Scan the barcode on shipping labels with your device’s camera. The app recognizes the shipment and stores the label number, so you can stay on top of delivery status.

• Link to Informed Delivery to track packages and digitally preview your household’s incoming mail arriving soon; view grayscale images of the exterior, address side of letter-sized mailpieces.

This app would not let me put in credit card to change address. When i tried to intercept a package that came to the wrong address the website says my address is not valid. When i try to see what address is on file there is no place to find personal information. I tried to send them an email they wanted my address phone number security question ect. Too much information for a simple question like where can i find my address. Smh

X70%
by X####:

Took 5 minutes and multiple tries to enter basic info and then refused my phone number . Although it suggested I could enter from my Contacts it would not accept information from my contacts. When I entered my telephone number it said it wasn't a valid number. When I entered a make up number it accepted it. Hope they don't plan to call. Someone said it best when they said it was lazy programming. I'll say it differently it's terrible programming and no excuse that anybody would except it much less a large organization like the Post Office.

Tracking a package is a fuss, then says i have no mail, so I go to check my box, and wow...Its there and it says its not. My post office in northeast ga, has a three day rule. I installed the app to keep up with it. totally useless app!!

X70%
by X####:

This app would not accept any user name. I have a very uncommon last name. I tried every combination of first, last, middle and initials, frontwards and backwards. I added numbers. I even tried a string of random letters. I tried a couple psuedonyms. Every one was "in use". I gave up. I wasn't too happy with the permissions that were requested anyway.

X70%
by X####:

Terrible. Put in a vacation hold. They still attempted to deliver packages. They posted as refused and returned to sender. Many packages just show in transit and then delayed. Pointless app besides being a useless government agency. It needs to go private so it will run like a business.

X70%
by X####:

I used to like this app because it would let me know where my item was bit now all I get after it leave its known location is it on its way to destination. It doesn't state where it stops on its on its way!

G70%
by G####:

All it is, is the usps website disguised as an app. You can't sign into Informed Delivery in order to automatically track your packages and automatically receive notifications on your phone. What's the point of having a sign in but still having to manually enter your tracking number into the tracking section individually when it's already saved to your account? It's double the work. Might as well keep using the Browser to sign in and receive emails. At least they are automated.

Re: Informed Delivery. I love the concept, but the log in process is cumbersome. Multiple clicks and scrolling to be able to sign in is too many steps. It's great to be able to know what I can expect in my mailbox, or when I'm not expecting anything. However, the accuracy is unreliable as there are days when it says "No mail" and mail was delivered, or not everything that was received was identified.

U70%
by U####:

This app serves unsolicited full page ads every morning and provides no mechanism to turn them off. This is not disclosed in its permissions list or any requests for permissions. The app violates Android's developer requirements for full disclosure IMO, and Google should remove it from the app store. DO NOT USE.

I70%
by I####:

SO BUGGY! Doesnt always keep the numbers you enter to track and never removes the ones you try to delete... iOS version was buggy too but far better. This Android version is painful.

S70%
by S####:

This was a great app when I first downloaded it, but it has since become useless for what I use it for. I use it to track my orders and get real time text/email updates. Lately it has not been sending me updates. Every time I want an update I have to open the app and re-sign up for text and email updates, and then it will send me the latest update. Then when the next activity happens for that order, I have to again open the app, re-sign up for updates, and then I receive the update by text. But of course by then it's pointless because I've already opened the app and seen the tracking details.

X70%
by X####:

The app can only be as accurate as the USPS tracking service. This is the real problem with the app. The app shows no tracking, go to the website...no tracking... where's my stuff. They don't know. The app works...the USPS doesn't. I've literally had a worker refuse to get my package because she's 5minutes from getting out of there!

L70%
by L####:

Every time an update occurs all the tracking numbers I am watching just vanish and I must reenter them. This is a pain for me and I am only tracking a few items

X70%
by X####:

Lazy programming at it's best. It's all just tossed in a web viewing window and there's little to no continuity requiring logging in over and over. Oh and every update wipes out the tracking numbers already entered. Using a browser window is more practical (and probably more secure knowing the government).

X70%
by X####:

Absolutely worthless. Try and scan a tracking number. All it does is take you to a freaking survey that has nothing to do with what you want. Just total garbage.

H70%
by H####:

Usually good except when USPS site breaks overall which is a few times a week. App update wiped out my saved tracking numbers. You do realise they were stored so I don't have to check on a bunch of individual gifts that aren't coming to me?! Scan feature is nice but allow me to turn the scanner sideways. Can't rotate the phone or the app rotates, so I have to download labels and rotate to import the info into the app.

X70%
by X####:

Every screen name is taken. Yeah ok. You need to clean the server and not allow bots to sign up. Not a safe feature.

X70%
by X####:

At first I would get the notifications about mail that was going to get delivered early in the morning, which was important to me because of my business. Now I get the notifications around midnight or so, what's the point at midnight? So disappointed.

X70%
by X####:

Scumbags delete negative comments here. I've left 3 reviews, all negative since this app deserves it, and all have been deleted. Absolute despicable behavior by developers and/or Google.

W70%
by W####:

App has no dashboard to track my incoming packages. It only tell me if I have something out for delivery. Picture of incoming package is cool, but I'd like to know when a package is coming before the day it's delivered. I enter a tracking number, it shows the status, but doesn't save to dashboard. Tried every authorization in settings menu, no luck.

X70%
by X####:

Well, I have been waiting for a package sent priority 1-3 day from a location 3 hours from my home. Today was day 3 and I still have not received it. I have tried to track my package it was checked in at a post office 2 and 1/2 hours from my home and left in transit to my town that same day. Yesterday it said in transit to destination town, and it is still in transit to my town today. I also put an intercept on the package yesterday because I figured it was at my post office, but didn't make my mail truck in time. So, at 3 pm yesterday it still didn't make it to my post office and this morning it is still in transit to destination town. So, Why pay for priority mail and bother to download this app that is virtually useless. How does it take over 3 days for a package to go 2 and a half hours? What a waste of time, money, and energy. Don't waste your time like I did just to end up with no information and empty handed.

I used to be able to login which allowed me to access my USPS account which auto loaded tracked packages but that went away. Would like to see account integration again!

Now only shows USPS Priority prices... No no more cheaper parcel quotes. S7/7.0

Update the app and lose all your items your tracking. Another botched job by the US government.

X70%
by X####:

Was working fine, had deliveries listed.. then it updated and washed all my deliveries out and I cannot re enter them.. good job USPS

X70%
by X####:

Very slow to load, assuming it it will at all. Half of the time it crashes. Needs a lot of reliability work!

X70%
by X####:

It does MOST of what I want, but I get really annoyed when I have to keep inputting the same tracking number or keep editing the name I have given to a particular shipment. Thia app is horrible about losing the simplest information. Any app out there can keep information. EXCEPT THIS ONE!

X70%
by X####:

Excellent App! It helps me solve my theift issues on vengeful posts I employee...

S70%
by S####:

The app is just a front for links to a webpage. If I need to do these things I'll just use a computer. I don't need an app. Unfortunately I expect nothing better from a government institution.

X70%
by X####:

Tracking stopped working . Keep receiving errors. Piece of garbage like USPS.

D70%
by D####:

Tracking numbers disappear with no reason. Hate to re-enter them and in few hours it's gone again.

X70%
by X####:

Always never verifies online even if answers correct. Poorly written app

X70%
by X####:

Won't open because my security says it's not a secure app that it is vulnerable to having credit cards and personal info hacked. Not Good

T70%
by T####:

Frequently the tracking feature is down. When the app updates you lose all the saved tracking numbers you had. Have to remove tracked packages one by one after they've been delivered. There are better package tracking apps available.

W70%
by W####:

This app has definitely been unreliable, especially for packages. One just popped up and it's supposibly being delivered today! Another that should be on the way isn't on there at all. I don't know if it's USPS or this app....

X70%
by X####:

The app tells me my stuff is delivered the day before its actually delivered. So now I don't trust the app as much as the distance I can throw my phone while angry. Which is quite far

H70%
by H####:

Your last update deleted all the items from the tracking screen. This is the only reason I use the app.

X70%
by X####:

Well for starters my package was suppose to be here on the 23rd and is "delayed" with no information as to why. Than try to track it in our app and it's having App, tracking technical issues. On the 25th it says it's on its way at 12pm and it's now Friday Jan 26th at 11:50pm, no package. Get on tracking App again, gives me another message saying delayed with no arrival date available and than switches to technical difficulties. Don't know why USPS keep hijacking packages from FedEx and UPS anyway. Leave it to the companies that will actually get people their packages without all this interference. USPS should only be used for mail, not packages. They should stick to what their good at. It's getting mighty annoying having to babysit each package that lands in the hands of USPS. No refunds, no explanations just another agency wasting time and stealing money.

X70%
by X####:

This is not a tracking app. It is a crashing app. Worthless idiots at USPS are too incompetent to design and maintain a reliable app. Worthless morons at USPS cannot be fired because of union protection.

X70%
by X####:

The absolute most disappointing non existent feature is not being able to track information on a search ID number issued when you completed the online form. They tell you on the site you will get periodic updates. Not true at all. Much like the rest of our government who has transparency issues, the USPS is no different. I can't even find an avenue online to track or anyone to call. If by some miracle a USPS employee reads these reviews my search ID number is 3235942 and was issued 12-19-17.
