About Pocket Atlas of Emergency Ultrasound

This app provides a quick and handy guide to all the body systems evaluated with ultrasound.

This app contains 443 images including photographs showing where to place the ultrasound probe, the actual ultrasound images and explanatory anatomical drawings.

This app is optimized for whatever size device you are using, either phone or tablet. No Internet connection necessary to use app after app is downloaded. The full app content is always on your device ready for quick image and information retrieval. This app is easy to navigate, allowing you to browse the contents or easily search the entire app for words in text or figures.

This app is derived from the pocket guide to the book Emergency Ultrasound, the most widely used reference and educational tool on the subject. This handy app is a great educational reference for accurately performing and interpreting ultrasound images.

The text details essentials such as clinical considerations, clinical indications, anatomical considerations, tips to improve image acquisition, and technique and normal ultrasound findings.

Ultrasound is a rapid noninvasive tool that provides emergency physicians with diagnostic information in real time. Competency in ultrasound can rapidly identify life-threatening conditions and other important clinical diagnoses. Ultrasound is now a requirement in EM residency programs, part of EM physician re-certification and why more and more emergency physicians are incorporating its use in their practice.

The Contents menu option allows you to view all chapters.

The Search menu option allows you search for a specific word or phrase within the chapters, images, and tables.

The Bookmarks menu option allows you see all the chapters, images, and tables that you have bookmarked.

The Notes menu option allows you see all the chapters, images, and tables for which you have written notes.

No videos, just text + some pictures. The emergency stuff is ok. But can get better stuff for free on YouTube. The sonosite app on iPhone is much better and free. Just waiting for that to come to Android and this app will be a total waste of money then. see free apps by rekesh. The pictures for anaesthetic blocks are of poor quality and I can get a 1st year trainee under my supervision to probably get better images than the RUBBISH images on this app for blocks!
