I think this app and Aetna's lack of response to feedback is pretty indicative of the over all screw you attitude of this company and pretty much all health insurance that we are forced to have now. I think it is hilarious that they state that they are working to improve the app and quickly make changes that users want. People have been complaining about the fingerprint hangup and lag for months, and still no fix.

Not great but definitely an improvement. At least it works now. Really slow but functional. Would like to see fingerprint authentication restored, seems to have been removed this update. On the right track, hopefully it will get better in time.

Totally not ready. So the fingerprint set-up just goes into a 'processing' loop that never clears and so does not work. On top of that, I tried to use the Contact Us feature within the app and in the areas where you need to provide input, you cannot add characters/no keyboard. Same in the email address field. I did log in with credentials and was only disappointed (so far) there, where the scrolling is EXTREMELY touchy and will make selections when only trying to scroll...and I am very used to other scrolling in other apps that I do not have this issue.

The app lags a lot and just responds very oddly. A lot of functionality is missing. Just viewing the claim on app does not provide much info other than what might be payable, what about if it is already paid or not and what about the details of that bill. Still needs a lot of work to be standalone app for now. Edit after update.: lowered my rating to 2 stars. Ever worst performance than before. Shows I have bunch of msgs but won't let me see any of them. Have a lot of claims but can't see them without app freezing.

When I look up a certain specialty, it will show me every other specialty but the one I'm looking for. I can't screenshot the app, and the only somewhat useful things is the ID card.

This app does not work on my Nexus 5X with stick Android 8.0. it loads and then simply shows a blank white screen with a blue and white back arrow button in the bottom right corner. It appears that the app is simply completely broken.

this app is so flawed. when selecting a doctor, you filter "accepting new patients" but then it pulls up doctors that clearly have on their profile "not accepting new patients!" Also when looking for a specific speciality, it doesn't even pull the doctors for the speciality that you're asking for

The app used to be great, but now I can't search anything. It freezes and stutters whenever I try to do anything. I hate this app.

The app, simply put, does not work. After logo I see blank screen with single reply button that doesn't do anything.

Haven't found anything on this app that works correctly. And it's painfully slow, glitchy, crashes, and hangs frequently.

This app takes forever to log in. It also has swipe screens and a drop down menu with the same selections. The swipe screens are frustrating and pointless. They never swipe and it just creates more load time.

Fingerprint update broke everything! Was excited to see a new fingerprint option but it broke the entire app. Much like others, the app now freezes at loading trying to set up or skip the fingerprint. App is less than useless if I can't actually get into it anymore. If this isn't fixed soon I might as well uninstall.

How nice of them to decide for me that just because I am rooted, I cannot use their app! There are other ways of maintaining security folks, crack a book and read up on them...

The intent to improve can be felt. But execution still lacks. Fingerprint set up doesn't work - keeps 'loading' forever.

Terrible... can't send a secure message, can't even setup fingerprint or pin login... Don't even understand why this app was released.

Constantly freezes. I can't do anything with the ID cards like email or download them.

Unable to set up fingerprint or PIN logon because the wheel stays in processing. Please fix!!!

Yea this app definitely is one of the slowest I've used. When ever you are looking at a page it always get cut off and you can not adjust it properly. I honestly didn't even bother to check out the rest of the app. Seriously. Get it together Aetna. Your a multimillion dollar company. I will go back to using the website page but even that isn't all that great. Please fix all the glitches.

The most useful thing about the app is that you have a mobile insurance card. Everything else doesn't seem to work half the time. I keep trying to search for care providers near me and it consistently says it can't load the information (this is over the period of a few days). Not to mention the response rate and loading is ridiculously slow.

Literally the slowest app I've ever used. If you type something, you can actually see the delay from when you hit the key and when it appears. Only reason it got 2 stars is that it works. Just very, Very slowly. You're better off using their web site. Seriously.

Would not recommend using this app to search for a provider. Finally found a Dentist I wanted to see. Searched for the Dr. using the app & told me he was not in the network. Searched for the same Dr. on Aetna's website, & showed he was in network & gave me ratings and all. App is very slow & laggy. Fingerprint & pin login wouldn't work for me as well. Pretty useless.

The company I work for just switched us to this insurance company, I received my card today and thought I'd look on the app to find dr's. near me. Guess that won't happen.Can't seem to get into it. Says my birthday doesn't match their info. Not sure how that happened. Just makes for inconvenience. App is slow and draggy.. Not useful.. Deleting it. Disappointing...

No excuse why this HUGE Insurance company has this bad of an app. I pay nearly $1300 per month for my insurance and I have to use an app that is comparable to a Microsoft Access document. Half of the functions do not work..gives an error message. With as much money as your company makes, you should be ashamed!!

App is ridiculously slow and lags forever. Put this on my mom's phone so she could access her insurance cards because Aetna decided they aren't going to issue physical cards anymore. I can't even access the insurance cards on the app! It just gets stuck. I try to print the cards off the website, and it gives a message that cards are not available at this time. If you aren't going to issue physical cards then make the electronic one work!
