Pixoff: Battery Saver PRO for Android
AMOLED screens doesn't have a backlight at all. Instead, each little sub-pixel is like a tiny red, blue, or green colored light. If the screen is instructed to display black, it doesn't need to block any light, it simply doesn't light up any of the little colored sub-pixels.
Black pixels save you a lot of power because those pixels can be turned completely off. There is a relationship between brightness and power, but to really save juice you need a true black.
The app store was in desperate need of a properly maintained AMOLED pixel blackout app. This app was an instant buy for me and seems to be working properly.
The app seems to work fine in portrait mode but not in landscape mode on my Note 5. If you look closely you can see the pattern of the off pixels in portait mode but not in landscape. It just dims everything in landscape mode which makes me think the mask isn't lining up with the pixels correctly in landscape mode. I spend a decent amount of my time on my phone in landscape mode. I emailed the developer to report the issue so hopefully they can remedy the problem. Rating will be bumped up once bug is fixed.
Add another important option: randomize every minute the grid position to avoid pixel burn on screen. And comment these on changelog
its good you make this app but its sometime its stop working
I like the app, but it keeps shutting down. I have apps like clean master, and doze, mabey they are shutting down the pixel off app.But it dose work sometimes. I will figure it out. If i get it to work properly, ill give more stars.
REALLY helpful
