URC Mobile

Running new Samsung S8+, it still thinks it's a tablet aftet updating and factory default, as well as fresh download. Locks up consistently. Doesn't always fully load. Currently its useless.

Rarely displays properly on my Samsung s7. Worked decent on iPhone but still laggy and annoying most of the time. Overall pretty frustrating.

Spent godless sums of money getting this set-up in my house and this app doesn't work on my Pixel. Such a joke. Freezes every other app as well until you actually manually kill the URC app. Will never recommend anyone use this company for home automation/control ___ Update: I did what you suggested and it still doesn't work. Your app literally disables the ability to use all other apps. Probably makes it the worst app i've ever seen, by definition. Like, literally the worst.

Love the app. I had an issue with some buttons not working properly, so emailed URC. They were VERY RESPONSIVE and updated the app to fix the problem and then followed up directly with me to make sure their fix worked for me. Thankfully, it DID!!! I am VERY IMPRESSED with the response and their unsolicited follow-up. Well Done!!!

Every time you guys issue an update it breaks something new. Now the UI won't display and locks up my tablet and phone. Maybe invest in a Dev team if you want to remain relevant.

I guess instead of making it better u guys goal is to make it worst.... So you reply that the new update addresses the issues am having and now is even worst first it rebooted my phone 2nd try when i open the app it just stayed black i had to force close the app and after 3 or 4 tries the app finally opened just to a really slow control app when moving between rooms or increasing and lowering volume or any change i want to make. For instancr i have macros for watching movies and it turns off the lights turna on the av system and starts the blueray. This now takes too long. Another thing i notice is the battery usage is killing my battery.

Upgraded to Galaxy 8 and IU is messed up. Both phones were running Nogut. Can't select anything. Upgrade coming?

Does not work with Samsung S8. Affects other apps when running. HUGE PROBLEM.

Still have some overlap on a power button but got everything else working now Running galaxy note 5.

The biggest issue I have is when changing my hardware i.e amps, media players etc, I have to incur a costly call out for it to be programmed. Surely you can implement a simple user interface to achieve this.

Since new update, no longer works. Gives unexpected response from basestation error message. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times.

It is truly amazing how terrible this app is. I could make a better one in a couple days. Too many problems to even list.

Alot of hate going around about this app. This app is just a link to what stored on the processor. If it's not functioning correctly it's ur programming. I have installed 6 of these now with no real issues.

Has become almost unusable over last couple updates on my LG G5 and Nexus 9 tablet. All buttons stick, volume adjust 10-15 levels on one touch, making it useless. Please fix!

Using Android app. It crashes all the time. Has insane lag. Sometimes keys/selections will stay selected so that app scrolls through multiple screens or selections on its own. Widgets crash a lot and don't work at all like they should (but the idea behind them is great if only they worked). Update after using for a few months and rep trying to fix issues... Still worse product I have ever spent way too much money on. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Seems the unsupported resolution error is a common issue now everytime the app gets updates on my s7 edge. It does work if I uninstall restart my phone and reinstall. But honestly I shouldn't have to do that every time there is an update! Also why is the android version still laggy and slow with occasional buggy buttons?

This device is a horrible financial investment for your entertainment system. I'm depend on this system to change between devices and programs! This device has a mind of its own and works when it wants. Other times it skips through sections of a menu and does not allow you to chose what you want to watch! The volume skips hearing levels as well. Sometimes when system is working it lags and is delayed by several seconds! I wish this was just an app and I could just delete it. Unfortunately, I can't!

I have put up with URC and this abysmal app for almost a year and it has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. The only reason I haven't scrapped the entire system is out of hope that the company would fix the myriad bugs in its software. No such luck. This is especially depressing when I read all the other similar negative reviews - is anyone at URC even reading or listening? The app freezes regularly. Buttons and commands work sporadically. When I am at home, a pop-up window telling me that the app is "on the home network and trying to connect through the home network" pops up every 1-2 minutes and I have to wait 5-10 seconds for it to go away. Worse still, when I LEAVE home, this same window CONTINUES to pop up. I have to force close the app or my phone becomes basically useless. These SAME PROBLEMS have occurred through two different Android phones (a Droid and now a Google Pixel XL) and two different Android OS versions. I have had reps from my local company who installed URC at my house multiple times over the last year, once for EIGHT HOURS with a rep from URC. The system still doesn't work. I'm ready to scrap the whole thing.

We have been using this for almost three years without issue. This latest version renders this app useless. Volume, changing channels...all a disaster.

Ever since the last update it's super slow and I have to pound on my tablet (remote buttons) to get them to work.

Hasn't ever worked on Android 5, 6, or 7. Crashes or unresponsive with a pretty simple layout. Only use our iPad because the android app is so bad.

Having issues with hitting the button once and it repeats 3 times after the new android update. Anyone going to fix this any time soon?

Will not load emailed several times asking for support with no response!

I've been using this app for over a year since I installed my total control system. It always worked OK, and in the most recent versions, actually worked very well. I don't know what you guys did I'm this latest version but it is now completely useless! Slow slow slow, can't even use it! Reinstalled numerous times with no luck. Fix it please!

On one of my Samsung S5's app just says unexpected response from base station, but on my other S5 app works just fine. I've installed/uninstalled the app and did factory reset in app. Still can't get app to work on my phone. Works on all other devices in my house

Over the past 4 months, i've uninstalled and reinstalled. No change. It finds my control system, i click on it, but won't connect, says it can't find and prompts to try again. Over and over. Anyone listening?

The Apple version works. The URC for Android is slow and error message-ridden.

Just installed the newest update on my S5 and now the remote won't work at all. I can't change the channel or volume. The previous version worked fairly well. Now I'm just frustrated! I've reinstalled it 6 times now and nothing seems to work.

App updates tend to be crap shoots, some work some don't

Audio control is still one of the many flaws with the urc app. Using volume keys will be delayed and sky rocket volume and then freeze can't turn down. The app is constantly not responding when in middle of other apps and just click OK. Probably 3-5 times a day. I have not seen many updates or bug fixes for the app and starting to think it's becoming an obsolete feature.

This updated version continuously freezes the app on my S5, and makes my URC system totally unusable! I re-installed the previous version and it works just fine. Please fix this version.

I had been pretty happy with the app after it was initially configured but about 3 weeks ago I started getting "app is not responding" messages after almost every action. If I click "wait", there will be a response in about 10 or 15 secs. App has been upgraded to the version deployed 8/3/2016 and it still happens. Just to add to the frustration, I need the app because the wand that came with the controller has a bad display and is unusable. My retailer can't get an answer from URC about that either

Excellent. A great app when the dedicated remote is hidden behind seat cushions or has dead batteries. I don't think it should be used as a replacement for a dedicated remote like the 1280 but as a back up.

Will not work on my galaxy tab 10.1 the app wont even open
