I sleep with this app everynight. The problem is that it skips, lags, stutters, when the loop repeats. This has to be fixed asap or this app is basically useless.

This app still needs a UI overhaul. It looks like some crappy old school iOS app (probably because it's just a port of the crappy looking old iOS app). Also, what's the point in having a persistent notification if you can't even pause or stop playback from it? It's just sitting there being useless. I use this every day, but will continue to give 1 star until it's worthy. Bring the UI up out of 2006, thanks.

I really want to like this app, but some of the sounds have a VERY noticeable gap when looping which completely ruins the experience. I expect better quality from a paid app.

This app has lost it main feature with the marshmallow update. The sounds have an audible gap in the loops. This defeats the whole purpose and renders it useless until fixed.

No no no. These loops have BIG gaps. Avoid! Too bad, seems to be a good app with many features, but this is just lazy conversion from iOS. Other apps do a much better job. Don't buy

I loved this on iOs but it's not worth paying for it on Android. Very disappointing. Don't waste your money. I use the Pro version of Relax and Sleep now.

I sometimes put in earbuds and turn on airplane mode to sleep when traveling, but my phone gets super hot. I don't remember it doing this before.

Says hit menu button to create a mix. What menu button?! App needs a mix button on the main screen. Price on this app has gone up with no further development. Do some work guys.

After reading some of the FAQs from within the app I discovered a long press on the app switcher key/button, while in the new mix tab, brings up the option to create and save a new mix. This works on my LG G3 and may work on other devices too. Hope this helps anyone who is having the same issue.

Awesome collection of sounds and it works as expected. But half the features just say "coming soon"... and have said that that for the past three years. Still, I would recommend it for the ability to download sounds, mix them, play in the background, and set timers for fading off at night.

I decided to give this app one more try. Works well now. From reading other ppl's comments, it's clear that this app has been abandoned completely. That's a shame because the catalogue of sounds is extensive and really enjoyable to explore. But it's impossible to mix sounds! And it looks dull to be honest. This app could be great with some work. White Noise, Lightning Bug, Ambio and Naturespace are much better in terms of being customisable etc. Great sounds/dodgy everything else. Had great potential once.

The sound repeats in a loop and there is a silence gap between loops. This is very disturbing and wakes me up. I wanted to use this app for sleeping. I have this installed on an iPad and used it on an iPhone 5 without.problems.

iOS version is still cleaner, I sleep with a box fan ambience running as my alarm. Everything works as expected but the sound has random seconds of silence, can be annoying when initially falling asleep.

DO NOT PAY FOR THIS SCAM.The rating is misleading for this dated, badly-ported iOS app. 4.5 (!!!) years without an update, and key features are STILL nonfunctional (backup/restore & recorder). Worse, sounds gap when looping on many devices, and there is ZERO tech support. Like many, I LOVED this app on the iPhone, but I regret wasting a single penny on the Android version - or the dishonest developer who rolled out a half-a$$ed product, took money paid in good faith, and ran right back to iOS. Flagged.

The best I have ever seen, or could ever ask for. There are so many different possibilities, and more added all the time.I can't even keep up with all the sounds I want to download LOL Thank you and keep up the great work!

The app does what you need it to do, but the interface is dated and clunky. Unlike the other reviewers, I found that I can create mixes and control volume levels independently.

Really liked this app with Apple but with android it's a big let down. Very buggy, keeps crashing. Was so hopeful, but it's just a bad app. Avoid unless there's an update

They never update this app and it doesn't work unless you want to hear a skipping sound track all night. Give this one star. They don't deserve sympathy.

I made the move from an Apple device to a Nexus 5 and I was happy to find my favorite sleep machine app was available. My wife and I have used this for years as background noise for sleep. This version of the app has pauses and skips that actually wake you up. It's unusable.

Go to create a mix on Android ... press "menu". Well, a Galaxy S5 doesn't have a menu button. Thanks for the copy-paste from iOS, this did not translate.

This is a dream app for lovers of ambient sound of just about any imaginable form. Loops are long, quality is high, and new additions are frequent. There really is tons of content here, it should satisfy the obsessive.

Wont let me even download any sounds!!! I just paid for this app....very disappointed..sounds wont even install...no help from customer service either...this used to be my most favorite app in the whole world

Started with this app on the ipod touch 1st gen and since then i havent owned a smart device that hasnt had this installed. The mixes and downloaded sounds have always been ready with the backups. Plus i sleep to this every single day. There will never be another app as perfect/useful as this one.

I own a Galaxy Note 2 and an apple 4s. On Apple this app was Great. On android its TERRIBLE. You can tell this developer spent no serious time trying to make this app even remotly like the apple version.

...back when I had an iPhone. Sadly it seems the android version has been abandoned. My main issue is the very noticeable gap in sound when the audio loops, because of this it now causes me more stress rather than relaxing me. It's a real shame because I would recommend the iOS version to everyone.

Complete rip off. App is nonfunctional and has no menu for creating alarms or mixes. Filing complaint with Play Store and seeking refund. Don't waste your time with this garbage.

Less than 60 hours into Ambiance for Android and suddenly I'm forced to acknowledge the nagging shiver tormenting me. For three days I've been eagerly and naively indulging my ears, exploring every crack and crevice... of a long abandoned ghost ship. Admission: $2.99. They're not coming back, are they? Still... The scraps ain't half bad. Truly a testament to what could have been.

Don't waste your money on this app! At one time, it was by far the best ambient sound app for Android, but the devs abandoned it long ago (2012!) despite MANY false promises and the Android version was NEVER fully completed and also has numerous issues. Check out the app 'White Noise' instead, which fulfills the false promises this app and these DEVS made. Sad...

Appears to be abandon ware. No meaningful updated in years. Unusable on a Galaxy Note 3 with the latest ROM update to Kit Kat.

Interface could use some sprucing up, but otherwise this is a solid app. I've used it for years. My personal favorite: "Rain on a Tent."

Thousands of sounds! Used it to mask hallway sounds on a cruise, and use it every night since! I'm a night shift worker, and the sounds help me sleep!

Much better on iPod touch as there are no gaps whilst playing. Android badly needs to have gapless play too and for the App to be updated. I love this App on Apple products, please, please fix the problems on Android as it is not as relaxing to listen to.

I used to love this app. I had it on my Galaxy Nexus and used it every night. Now on my Galaxy Note 4, there is no way to make mixes or play lists as there is no menu button there any more. I have noticed gaps in the sound loops that I hadn't before. Is anyone listening to anyone here? I see a lot more unhappy comments saying the same thing.

Great sound bank, but to get the audio to loop right you must name the downloaded tracks to .ogg and play them in Play Music (it supports gapless playback). Please fix the loop gap!
