Needs to be able to notify you when a website comes up with an alert.

The ability to create new probes and check on probes is excellent. The weakness comes on alerting, I prefer to be able to customize sounds, without this ability there's little use to using this application to receive alerts. Also the meaning of the peak alerting time isn't 100% clear, if I don't use peak control, do I disable receiving notifications? for example.

I like the relatively unobtrusive notifications. However, the app hasn't worked reliably since before about 2013. Tapping the notification doesn't do anything. Starting the app clearly logs me in, but I don't see any probes show up. I see the probes the first time I log in, or if I clear app data. That should be fixed. Scrolling performance is terrible on this Nexus 5 running lollipop, which is painful if you have more than about 10 probes (I monitor 50 currently). However, the notification are so well done

Great additional app to your Uptrends account for monitoring systems from the internet, worldwide. Pitty this new app Uptrends 2.0 does NOT replace/deinstall the older version, so have to remove that yourself.

Well, for now 1* as I downloaded installed launched and it simply says can not connect. For an app that is ment to tell me if my site is up...which can't even connect to its own server, not very reassuring.
