Surge Chaser for Lyft for Android
This is very useful. I'll continue to use, as trends change seasonally in my area. Just a couple of suggestions for future updates or even upgrades. 1) Enable a feature that would allow users to change the threshold for all of the checkpoints as once for the notifications. 2) If possible, have the checkpoints change color, and maybe display the current primetime amounts when the primetime at a checkpoint is above the user defined thresholds.
Why do you need my card info? Allow me to subscribe for services/make purchases vie the play store so I can be comfortable with this kind of thing. I'm not giving you sensitive info.
It seems to work but there is a delay. Surge chaser will say 250% but I've noticed it's 5 minutes ago. I need real time asap. As soon as Lyft app goes dark red, surge chaser takes too long to catch up. For that reason alone I'm deleting app.
Like another poster it just loops after you hit accept for the terms. Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling. Nada.
As soon as I put my payment info in it froze up and won't let me log on...GARBAGE
Good app but it doesn't work for referrals I've referred 2 people but I haven't got my 2 free weeks for it
Doesn't work... when I get a notification it's always false. Lyft Durant show surge
Either your developer sucks ass or your QA team sucks ass. Or you just don't test android devices and convert to android from iOS. Im using an ideal 3 from alcatel, this apps fails to start. Do gooder developers.
Why does it need card info? I read about a 5$ fee? Really? Lyft put a 200% cap on surges. Uber however has had surges up to 5x (from what I saw this Superbowl Sunday). -uber has an app called rydar which tracks surges, events and hotspots for free!
I don't understand, do I put a cc number in or not?
Doesn't notification in real time until half an hour after primetime has occurred...
Nice scam it takes your luft log in info and then errors to a screen of garbage.
I absolutely love this app. The prime time is always changing and I find that the surge chaser is regularly on the low side by 25%. This is a feature that I absolutely love.
Didn't work. Couldn't login
You should add some kind of grid outline for the Lyft surge boxes.
Loop at Login. Can't use the app.
Why do you need my card number?
Pretty good app definitely worth the price with the surges I've caught
Absolute waist / check your account
It is asking for a cc to log in?
Useless
Simply doesn't work. I live right next to asu.which = constant surges. I set check points all along the campus. Set them at 0% and I get nothing, when I can clearly see the surges in the lyft app itself. And you're trying to charge for this? How about make it work first.
Can someone help me out? Uber surge chaser works fine on my Samsung s6. Lyft surge chaser? Can't get it to log in. It gives me a blank screen every time
Yes, it very much is worth the download and the low yearly cost. It will help you learn your market by watching surges in real time. I've been able to work smarter not harder with this marvelous app. I can't wait to see what happens in the future development
You say this app is free; but, as soon as I put the phone code in, you ask for my credit card info. That is the first strike, overall your reviews for this product is not very persuasive with a 2.9 rating. I want to try this product, by you guys have got to get it together. Great idea though..
I think it's ridiculous that I can't Iog in without giving my payment information- I already logged in with my phone number and had a verification code sent. Then it gives some lame ass excuse about trying to finish a rider account that's why it needs it? Obviously this app is for Lyft drivers, not riders. That's bogus. I uninstalled immediately, I can find another surge app.
Careful lift drivers its a scam they took my account changed my info locked me out of my account and charged multiple rides to my acount if u get a call from "LYFT" with a power bonus dont give them any info
It's not accurate huge delays in the timing of current prime time events.
Surge chaser for uber is great. For lyft, not so much. I set notifications for primetime increases and checkpoints are set to lyft>25%. All I get are false positives.
Update app to allow address and time data entry so we know whether the trip we're picking up is Prime Time.
Just as Surge Chaser is absolutely essential for Uber drivers, so too is this Lyft based app. I love the notification feature, and that users can have unlimited checkpoints.
Asking for credit card info. To whom am I giving this to?? Would be nice for an explanation before one just sends a CC number blindly.
Why is it asking me for payment if it's free??? And YES I'm looking at the right app!
This is even is even more helpful than SurgeChaser is for Uber. For me at least, the Lyft driver heat map is very inaccurate. Once you set up a bunch of check points, this will give a much better idea of where Primetime is happening. I wish it had an export function like SurgeChaser.
I keep getting pings of surges, when I open the lyft app, there's nothing there. I'm thinking it's linked with uber surges and not lyft. Please fix accuracy.

Long overdue. lyft drivers need this more than uber. Thank you michael
Helped me out on NYE. Thanks!
4 stars gets drivers fired. Post a video of it working. Yes I tried it. It kept force closing and I did not get it to work. 4 stars great idea, -1 for not working. I will and then email.

UPDATE: Upon emailing the developer, the issue was fixed within 12 hrs.. Very satisfied w/this app!! Need HELP!!! I updated my account to the premium, and it keeps looping from the main screen (when you initially download the app) to the screen that asks if you give permission to Uplyft Prime.. I've uninstalled & reinstalled it several times and no change! My bank account was already billed for the $4.99 too.. It worked great before..
