2013 인터넷상생백서

2013년은 우리나라에 인터넷이 연결된 지 31년을 맞은 해이며, 경제적으로, 사회문화적으로, 정책적으로도 큰 의미가 있었던 한 해입니다.

한 해 동안 라인, 카카오톡 등 국내 모바일 메신저 서비스의 글로벌 시장 성장, 그룹형 SNS 시장의 확대, 웹툰의 콘텐츠 다양화 및 해외시장 진출, 소셜커머스의 지속 성장 등 인터넷 기업들의 다방면 성장이 눈에 띄었습니다. 또한, 창조경제의 원동력이 되는 신규 스타트업의 창업 또한 활발해 지는 등 인터넷산업의 새로운 혁신을 주도하였습니다.

그리고 인터넷 생태계 선순환 환경 조성을 목표로 업계의 자율적인 참여로 이루어진 인터넷상생협의체 외에도 벤처기업상생협의체, 상생발전협력회의 등이 신설되어 지속적으로 대기업과 중소기업이 동반 성장할 수 있는 시스템을 마련하였습니다. 또한 네이버의 생태계 활성화를 위한 상생 펀드 조성 및 벤처 펀드 조성, Daum의 중소 개발사 기술 및 서비스 적극 개방, SK커뮤니케이션의 유망스타트업 마케팅 지원, 이베이코리아의 중소 상공인 창업 및 판매 지원 등 인터넷 기업들의 활발한 상생활동이 이어져 왔습니다.

이와 같이 인터넷기업들은 획일적이던 예전의 모습을 벗어나 각 기업의 특색에 맞춘 상생 및 사회공헌 활동으로 점점 변화했고, 소규모 신생기업이 많아 타 산업에 비해 선도 기업이 스타트업과 파트너로서 더 큰 발전을 이룰 수 있도록 협력을 모색해 왔습니다.

인터넷기업들의 이와 같은 노력들을 한데 모아 ‘2013 인터넷 상생백서’를 출간하게 되었습니다. 앞으로도 인터넷기업들이 공존과 상생을 통해 대한민국 인터넷산업의 균형 있는 발전을 도모할 것이며 꾸준히 노력할 것입니다.
