MileagePlus X for Android
This app has been flaky for 2 months since I have had it. Its up, its down. I can't buy any gift cards. Ebay, Applebees, Amazon, Jiffy Lube..The app says "purchase failed, the system is experiencing problems. Did uninstall reinstall. Re added credit card.. I wish it would work. Nice when it does.
I can't purchase anything from Amazon right now via the app. Based off the comments it sounds like I'm not the only one. Can you please fix this?
The system never complete the transaction and prop an error message indicating that the app is having technical issues.....

Overall good app. A bit confusing, some stores are not listed by their own common brand but under a parent company or website. Makes it difficult to know if they have what you want. Maps if businesses are not up to date. Would be great to set up notifications/setup requests for new store offers.
Worked great at first but for past month unable to purchase any cards. Would like to see them get it fixed, they are missing out on a good amount of money
Worked great in the beginning but I have been unable to purchase gift cards for 2 weeks. I reached out to the help service over a week ago and no response
It will not let me log in. I sent an email to the developer explaining the issue and the error message received (it thinks I am using a pin to log in when I am using my password), and the response I got was to try reinstalling. So, knowing the issue was not an installation issue, but wanting to be kind, I did what was asked, and am still not able to log in.
Crashed 4 times on attempt to enroll. DOB is month to month scrolling. If you are 50 then get ready to swipe 600 months. Uninstalled
Worked great for a week, now doesn't work at all. Contacted costumer support a week ago, still waiting for a reply. Loved it when it worked, awful now.
You have to uninstall the previous version before the new one. Don't use update as this will make the app failing to log you in.
Has even more glitches after the update than before, e.g. merchant list freezes when scrolling all the way to the bottom.
It wont accept my account info/password. I quadruple checked my mileage plus account by logging in and out on the website 4 times....

PLEASE PROVIDE MORE INFO ON UPDATES. "BUG FIXES" IS NOT ENOUGH!!!!!!!!
Poor performance.
App used to work before update , now it gives sign in errors. Specifically retrofit error. Typical United stuff that doesn't work as they say it will.
Worked great before update, since update, unable to sign in. Receive retrofit error. *Update* Retrofit error fixed. Easy way to boost United Mileage plus miles.

Whoa! This has been a great app, but today they've suddenly lost most of the merchants I use it for (Starbucks, Panera, etc). It had covered most of the chain stores and restaurants I go to, but now it's basically worthless.
This app was great before the updates on 20sept2017. Now signing in keeps giving errors
Full of bugs, on the app it shows you error message, but on the other side, it changes your credit card. You will be very confused. And not sure how many times it already charges you. This app should not be on Google store.
Earned thousands of miles with this app. I especially like using it with the shopping portal to get more miles. Never had a problem with merchants rejecting it or it not working. It is not super fast as you must go thru several steps but I feel it is safe with all these steps. Miles post immediately and always accepted even online. Just be sure to read the merchant's fine print.
Regularly has catastrophic errors with unclear error messages. Every time there's a promo, like 10miles per dollar, it seems that I receive an error that says the system is having problems. Same issue on iOS and Android, so it's not the app that's bad so much as it is the backend running it. Its been down for more than 72 hours in the past month. That's absurd.
App always says sorry, system is experiencing errors. Sent direct message to customer support and their reply, "we'll provide an answer to your issue in 8 to 10 business days." Called customer support and tech rep said the app has been discontinued. I said why is it still in the play store and has web support??? Horrible support and useless app.
I also had the "spinning wheel effect" during purchase time that just wouldn't stop. It would just keep loading, so what I did was uninstall the app and then reinstall it but this time I allowed the app access to both requests, location and to media files and now the app works perfectly fine and I just upgraded to the S8+. I hope this helps.
The concept of this app is great. Where it falls short is the amount of time the transaction takes too complete. This is not helped by the fact that I am asked for a password when I submit the purchase instead of a purchase simply going through. Secondly, employees are not aware of this program, the process or what to do with the gift card information. I often get the impression that I am only showing their line down and annoying them. Otherwise, it is a great way to earn miles and I enjoy using it whenever possible.
Bought $200 in gifts cards and they didn't work. Contacted support and they said there was nothing I can do. Reverse the charges and they close my account. Holy hell United is a garbage. At least I didn't get beat up and thrown off a plane.
Always a great experience with this app. I have racked up a lot of miles using it. A lot of the time I'll buy the gift card right at the register once I see the total. Thank you very much for a great and convenient service!
Good when it works, but it can randomly stop working without any warning and then you just have to wait for them to fix the app. Could take days or even weeks, and customer support is unresponsive the entire time.
Tried using it probably 50 times. Worked twice. Almost always says we are experiencing a system error when trying to pay. Uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. Very frustrating. Would be awsome if it worked!
Great app. Have used frequently and haven't experienced any of the failures or problems described in many of the other reviewers; merchants have always accepted. Could benefit from more merchants and a bit more polish; it looks better on my wife's iPhone.
I love the concept of the app but seems to give an error about half the time I try to use it so I lose out on the points from using the app. Please fix this issue and stars will go up!

I've been having trouble purchasing Amazon GC in the app for over a month now. It keep error out. I've tried different CC and still the same. Even after the update from yesterday, still get the error. I've also tried uninstall and reinstall, didn't hep.
