ClickToPhone is a comprehensive user interface that simplifies and integrates the functions of a smartphone together with environmental control seamlessly into one package. It is primarily designed to enable people with disabilities to FULLY control their Android smart-phone or tablet. With a single switch, or joystick, a user can make calls, send and receive texts, view pictures, play music, access the internet and much more.
ClickToPhone is also suitable for Seniors and other touchscreen users who require a simplified smartphone GUI that replaces the phone's native launcher.
TELL ME ABOUT THE HARDWARE
The App forms part of a combined hardware/app solution. The hardware, called HouseMate, is controlled using a built-in switch or by connecting an external switch or joystick. It can also be interfaced to R-Net, DX and Curtis wheelchair control systems. It is powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery and contains a powerful omni-directional InfraRed transmitter and a Bluetooth radio module.
The hardware communicates the switch presses to the app on the smart-phone. The app uses intuitive scanning techniques and a rich graphical interface to present different options to the user. If the user chooses an environmental control option then ClickToPhone will transmit the corresponding InfraRed, EasyWave or Z-Wave signal.
HouseMate can also be fitted with a radio frequency Nurse call pager. This alarm can be activated at anytime by pressing the switch for a defined period of time.
IS IT EASY TO SETUP?
After installation the wizard will guide you through the setup procedure. You will be asked to choose one of four different user levels, the contents of the home page, the scanning method and other commonly used options. The final step of the wizard guides you through pairing your phone with your hardware and making the first connection.
You can use ClickToPhone freely without any hardware with certain restrictions. You can test the scanning using your headset button by setting the scanning method to “Headset Switch”.

• Voice output for text-to-speech, auditory scanning and read-out of SMS messages. Voice recognition for environmental control.
• Word prediction and word anticipation.
• Control over all Apps on Google Play using HouseMate’s HID mouse and an Android device that supports HID.
• Can be installed on any device running Android 2.2 or higher including TV dongles. This allows the use of large HDMI screens.

Hi, im a constant user of your product, due to my dissability (c5-c6 quadriplegic).I still have minimal use of my hands and arms. I dont have any use for the keyboard within the program, since I only use my housemate for opening doors, controle my lights and to answer the phone. So... Now I'm wondering if it is possible to disable the included keyboard and just use the default samsung keyboard. Because I dont use it, it is really anoying to have to switch between them all the time, when the phone go's or someone is at the door while im typing a letter or working on my tablet! An option to disable the clicktophone keyboard would be much appreciated and f***ing awesome! Thnx

As a C3 quadriplegic of 17 years this app is simply the best thing since sliced bread is give me 100% access to my Samsung S3 and Note 10.1 (with built-in mobile). We were particularly impressed by Brian the developer who took note of all of our comments and even managed to implement some changes to suit our particular needs. It's quite simply the only solution available for 100% access to a modern-day smart phone for a hands-free user.

Very impressive! I have been using ClickToPhone to control my Samsung Galaxy S3 for the past six months. It is important for me to have full access to all device features via my single switch and ClickToPhone has proven capable of doing just that. The crosshairs feature is excellent for efficiently tapping touchscreen targets, and the swipe feature actually gives me the feel of using my hand. ClickToPhone has greatly increased my independance. Developer very responsive to questions and suggestions.

Clumsy and ugly, but it does the job. If you need this app due to an disability, you are both lucky and screwed. You are lucky because you are finally able to command several house- and handyfunctions with a one-click-option. It is often quiet clumsy to get where you want it, but it usally gets you there, given a certain amount of time. You screwed because in order to make an enviromental control out of your mobile phone you need to smear this very ugly overlay over your probably nice looking android. The keyboard is an especially ugly example of this overlay, I hate it every time I have to type something on it in stead of my beautifull pure-android keyboard, which is much more conviniently designed, but unfortunately, the clicktophone-overlay can´t be disabled. I´m thinking about buying a new cheap phone, just to run this app and relieve my beloved Nexus 6 of it. Conclusion: I hate it, but I need ist, and it certainly deserves credit for it´s core functionality.
