Uniden Siren

Giving this app 4 stars because of what it could be. Still has connection issues. Slow to connect in access point mode, occasionally drops connection and needs wifi toggled off/. Needs to support split screen as this is now a function of Android OS. App should scan a range of IPs vs having to manually enter it every time (yes I know DHCP reservation is an option). Now that it essentially has a large screen with unlimited configuration ability, it's time to roll out true control channel data stream decoding.

Will not support streaming outside of lan and for me it keeps turning the close call off whenever monitoring from the app. This don't matter if I turn it on from within the app or on the scanner itself. Display during scan is slow. Another thing I have taken notice of is the app will pick up and produce audio that the internal speaker on the scanner itself won't catch at times(this is normally with very brief transmissions).

It's a lot less than I expected. Works erratically. Has a different bug every time you run it. No updates for over a year. Uniden could hire a summer intern to re write this.

Long wait pretty much gave up and lost a LOT of respect for uniden. But the app is here and works. Thanks for that. Remote access does work through my vpn and a couple forwarded ports :-). Please fix low audio output on devices.

Basic but has promise. It doesn't allow you to scroll through Avoided entries on the main screen, forcing you to go to Settings to turn off Avoid.

If they had a port for the BCD536HP in radio software and or in the app I could then stream app threw my cell network from anywhere NOT JUST ON HOME NETWORK. . So saddened. By how cheaply its made after waiting years after I bought when they first came out all this time for a base can only use at home for app to work....

This app sucks! I haven't had it work yet. I put in the ip Addy and the app says there's no scanner at that addy. Waste of time.

Still a few bugs here and there but happy it's been released! Defiantly a great tool for the hobbies and people who want to be high tech!

Decent app, but only displays in landscape mode, which I do not like and would like to be able to listen outside of the home.

Works for me. Hopefully there will feature improvements

This software has too many bugs to be useful. When it works its great. But it keeps loosing my IP adress when out of range or you access the controls. It only works if you are in range of your wifi, not accessible through the internet. It will be great when they get the bugs worked out, but untill then don't waist your time. Verry fustrating.

App works great... almost perfect! I would give it 5 stars if the audio clipping issue was fixed.

DISCLAIMER: You need to update your scanner's firmware and it is recommended to update your Sentinel software for full function. That being said; the app works great! It allows full control of the scanner's features. Don't want to give up your WiFi? Connect the scanner to the WiFi router in 'Infrastructure' mode. Very handy. Now all I need to do is figure out how to access it remotely. Or maybe this could be a future feature. Hint. hint. So far, so good.

Plays scanner audio, but display interface just sits at waiting on scanner. (not a network/wireless issue on my side either)

So far so good. The app seems to be working as described. The audio seems a little low at times but other than that no problems at all.

App is working great so far, passed audio and I have been able to control the scanner.

I get to hook up my dongle an use my android device. Take that iPhone users..

Just installed the app and it is working fine.
