Being a solo backpacker with limited access to internet the offline feature i found was a real asset to this app as google maps doesn't work offline. However my only gripe is that it doesnt have a full set of places like solingen for example however there might be more in a paid version but overall im happy with this app

Used the downloaded maps for paris,venice and rome. Initial issues were failure to locate any sites. Wi-Fi interference. Constant searching. After troubleshooting, found that of I turned off Wi-Fi and put phone in airplane mode with Mobil data off it worked excellent! Search function worked and map GPS was tracking extremely well. We could search for our site, star the location and off we would go. Even with Wi-Fi and mobile data off, the GPS tracked spot on. Was a time saver for us finding out of the way locations.

The app is good for navigating within a particular city, but the highways are not correctly labeled and the map won't help you get to the city. You'll need a different app for that. Also, the app is missing some restaurants and other points of interests (and the names might be slightly different in the app than in real life).

Without transport navigation, this only functions well for finding very local attractions. Maps are not very pretty and feel quite slow (even though offline). You can't zoom-out far enough either. Quite disappointed.

A wonderful app for wandering new cities ! Makes getting lost in back streets a pleasure - knowing that there is always the backup to get back on track! Not needing constant WiFi or internet access is a huge bonus.

Its good app as I will use for my next trip. Hope to see more icons added. I saw some tram bus stop not in Amsterdam map and starred it but no icon for transport but only a red star. Put more of these will help us mark with clear object. Also hope more enhancement in future. Thanks

Have used this repeatedly in my travels. Indispensable for someone without the cash for full roaming use of the Internet. Load the appropriate map on wifi at your hotel or the nearest McDonald's and you are set for the day's touring - in the car or on your feet. Only improvement I would like to see is map storage option on your SD expansion card because the maps eventually run you out of available memory, though,depending on the amount of memory you have it can take a lot of maps to do this.

Planning a trip ahead and this app has been handy in marking places we plan to visit. Its easy to think of logistics if you have a mini map with you. Some places also gave user reviews written in; that is of help too! Would definitely recommend this app.

First time I used it aroad, in Dubai, without 3g and it kept saying "waiting for location". It sounded so good that I got the paid-for version but it doesn't do what I was promised: location on a map using just GPS. They improved it a lot. Used it in japan. It was perfect.

Don't search for something else, this is what you look for. Offline map working good, gps more accurate than google map with net. You can pin to map ehaever you want and also write notes for each pin.

Japan maps are 95% in Japanese. Very little English. Completely useless if searching in English.

50% of all battery usage in 12 hours ... battery went from full down to 7% in those 12 hours ... not good ... no, my gps, bluetooth and data weren't on ... was at home until the 7% got me scrambling to recharge my phone ...no improvement since developer reply posted ... i.e. if I leave app running the battery drains and o/s says city maps uses most power

The app is great when it works. It sometimes goes to a black screen and I can't see the map, so this is not good when travelling in an unfamiliar city. I download another app as a backup.
