About Shapes & Geometry Skill Build

Shapes and Geometry practice for Primary School Age children.
(THIS APPLICATION SPEAKS IN ENGLISH ONLY).
_________________________________________________________________

The Shapes, Colours, Positions, and geometric properties are the foundation of mathematical geometry problem solving. It is essential that children quickly recognise basic shapes, and understand properties and geometric terms.

Providing your children with access to learning materials and aids is increasingly important, and children these days learn quickly through interactive touch applications.

This application has been designed for the Tablets and Phones with that goal as the core of its design. Your children will have access to shapes and geometry skill practice and related problems whether at home or on the go, to help them build this essential skill.

No internet connection is required.
No subscription required.
No silly games.

The application contains progress charts, which help build their confidence in a friendly way, and encourages them to achieve their highest potential.
_________________________________________________________________

The skill builders have been developed based on the national curriculum of the United Kingdom and other English speaking countries. Maths tuition around the world is broadly similar, and in all countries shapes and geometry are important.

Typically children will be learning these topics between the ages of three and eight; they all learn at different speeds, so this age range is just a guide.

This is a fantastic app! It runs very smoothly and has engaging graphics for young learners. It touches on a whole gamut of geometry material for early elementary school learners. Two things would make this app better. The first is a simple fix. In the 3D section, levels 4 and 5, if I recall correctly, the questions sometimes ask for the corners/edges while the answers seek the reverse. In other words, the questions mistake corners for edges and edges for corners some of the time. For example, the question may ask for the number of edges on a cube (12) but the correct answer is for the number of corners (8). The second is while this app is fantastic for quizzing, it's not very strong for teaching. For example it asks the child to identify a tetrahedron, but it doesn't explain to the child what a tetrahedron is first. Or it asks for the number of vertices, without defining the word "vertices". Overall, I am very pleased with this app, but for the price I was hoping for it to teach the subject as well. :)
