Lapse It • Time Lapse • Pro for Android
I have made long and short timelapses and they turned out great. My longest spanned mote than 12 hours with a 2 minute interval. I am constantly trying to come up with more ideas. Android T-bolt. UPDATE- Been using it on my SGS4 for almost 2 years, works perfectly. Keep on with the added features, I use them all!
I've tried several similar apps and this has proved to be the best I've found. The settings menu can be a bit tedious as it closes after each settings change and has to be reopened and scrolled again for the next setting you want to make before starting the timelapse. A GUI change would be welcomed. However, I'd happily recommend this as the best timelapse for Android. Seems very stable on Nexus 6p running Marshmallow.
I cant select the range of resolutions my camera offers (other apps can) I can have 1080p (4:3) or full sensor (20mpix 4:3) no matter what I change or set, all videos source captures are in 4:3 unless I create image sequence with other app. Project doesn't remember effect nor music selected. If rendering stops (switch app or press power button) rendering doesnt resume. Sometimes have to reboot. Created 3500 frames (shows in project) but only 269 frames physically on device. No response to my email from devs
Great app for those moments that you wish that you were able to take multiple pictures to get the right one or a quick time lapse. But you cannot control the aperture or shutter speed.. This is the only downside that i have found. Or maybe I am not doing something... Otherwise it works great.. Android lollipop is to be released Nov.12, 2014 at least for the Nexus family.
3000 frames didn't render for me on a recent capture. After a 4 hour wait to make a 30 second capture, though the video quality looks awesome. It lags and stops. Consistently. The moments it works, it runs so smooth and awesome. Dunno what to do. But I did put some time into waiting for this thing. Too much for it not to work and me to have paid for your app.
I bought this app for a road trip and the background capture doesn't work even with the option enabled under settings. The only was it works is to keep the app active and press the power button to take this display off. If we do anything other than this, it will stop..! The timer keeps running, but the pic are not captured.
VERY GOOD!!! but... The app works wonderfully (GT-i9195L), no hiccups so far. Only thing missing is JPEG quality option. It not so usefult to select FULL SENSOR and have my JPEG quality diminished. Please devs, implement JPEG quality control (i.e.: compression selectability). Other than that, worth every penny (MXP in my case) paid for the PRO version plus the GOLD user donation.
(my phone is LG G3) I've made a couple of TL's and added music and they were perfect but now it doesn't add any music at all in the final video and it's still choppy and not smooth. I'll still use this app to record the TL's but I'll use something else to render them.
Ran well on my Galaxy S5 (running Kitkat v4.4.4) for more than 1hr on multiple occasions. Focus and white balance lock are genius! Editor could DEFINITELY use a frame-by-frame button when trimming, before rendering. Currently I have to type the frame number in, 1 by 1 (ie; 1204.. let it load.. 1205.. load.. 1206.. ... 1218.. load.. Ah! that's the frame I wanted to remove! Then delete.) A fwd and reverse 1 frame at a time would be awesome. Otherwise this is an amazing app!
Sliders are evil. They are not meant for stubby fingers or on a tiny touchscreen, to be tweaking sensitive numeric values. Such as: time interval, fps. And the alternative presented is textual input, which opens up a keyboard, leading to way more keystrokes than I care for. And all this supposed nuance is for attributes for which we have a short list of well known tried-and-tested values: Time interval: 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 30, 1m, 5m..., custom FPS: 5, 12, 24, 30, 60, Custom. Can we have dropdowns PLEASE?
Just perfect and high performance. The accuracy and settings are above expectations. Only downfall and its a big one: for a 6 second accelerated clip I discovered my phone got cramed with 1300 files of almost 1mg, so that's 1GB of missused storage. Never seen before. Can't you make it so those files dissapear after creating and saving the final clip? It's a big fail no other app does... Even, actually, retarded...
No matter what I do the app will only record 10 minutes at a time - I can't stop working to "resume capture" 6 times an hour...when you fix this I'll update the my rating. Using a Galaxy S5 with 128gig SD card...haven't been able to capture decent days work to publish since I purchased the app.
Had been looking for an app to record fast motion drawing videos for my art websites, nothing even came close to the lapse it app. Purchased the pro version right away, and all I have to say is awesome! Makes work much easier, and the videos look great. As an artist I highly recommend it. Lapse it pro is the way to go!
I carefully oriented the camera before starting the recording. For whatever reason, it later believed it was upside down. To flip the video would take some time. Also can't focus very accurately because you have to guess the distance. Not as functional as the iOS version.
I loved this app on my GS4, then I upgraded to the GS7 edge. The material setting is the only way that the photos do not look like a fisheye. When I try to render it, it goes through the process and then just stops. I don't get a video showing the timelapse. It just takes up space. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, then 5 stars.
Do not buy this app. It hasn't been updated since 2014. I made the mistake of purchasing and have run into many app crashes and it does not support my Galaxy s6 edge plus camera properly. Go with Framelapse instead. It is being supported and creates high res timelapse videos even with free version.
Perhaps there's a better way of doing this but I did a timelapse of the eclipse the other night. All worked well but now I'm stuck with 1800 pictures of the moon in my gallery, all of which I'm going to have to delete individually as I don't want to lose the pictures before that. Any advice on a better way to do it would be good.
Timelapsed my first 2 videos, sat freezing!! watching a sunset, recording pic every 20 secs for 1 hr or so. Now poxy app says cannot preview video, says playing but blank screen!! Tried everything I can think of to access pictures but nothing!waste of a afternoon, note 3
Any time I try to record something for more than a few minutes, it never works. I have a Galaxy S5 and I bought Lapse It Pro for the HD. Unfortunately, the capture always crashes, fails, or asks me to continue. You can't just set it up and let it go, it never works. I seriously regret buying this app or even spending the time on the free version. I would NOT recommend this app to anyone. In fact, I tell people to STAY AWAY from this broken app at all costs, and switch to something that ACTUALLY WORKS.
The standard camera mode works OK, But on my Samsung S6, The "Material Camera" mode crashes the app frequently. Then, when restarting the app, my lens started buzzing, like the focus mechanism went crazy. I didn't have these problems with the free version. With the resolution set to 720, the image is distorted horizontally, even though my display is 2560x1440.
The quality of the renders are terrible, skies look all pixelated even when capturing with full sensor! The rendering engine needs mayor work. The user interface is terrible as well, the seriously need to bring this app to the modern day, not acceptable!
I paid for the full version after confirming compatibility. It has a rich feature set, but is still simple to use. I tried several apps, and either they didn't work well, or were poorly designed. This one is excellent... ------ update ---- one year later, this is still an excellent choice! Followed me to my new phone!
Aerial photos soon when i can individualize them. I'm hoping they'll help me with advice, but no response for a long while (STILL no help. Frustrating.)
This app is actually pretty cool. I *wish* it had a zoom feature. It would probably work best if you have at least a mini-tripod. I *wish* there were better tutorials. Better tutorials=more stars. Gotta love an app developer who programs to allow the end user to define his/her own save path (e.g., sd card) which this app does allow. A text message will stop and/or delay this app in mid process. C'mon this is a phone and it gets messages... why allow this happen? This is not a fast process and a flaw like this can be a problem. Perhaps, in fairness, this may be beyond the developer's control. This app is feature rich (again tutorials please) and if I understood it better, it would be worth so much more than what I paid for it.
Claims to have all the images stored. Refuses to render anything. Says preview not available. I have purchased the pro version. Galaxy s4 lollipop 4.4.2. I have tried rendering in many different quality settings and intervals. Nothing is working. I've watched the tutorials. (update) Still struggling trying to get this program to work. Too many problems to even list here. I am reasonably savvy with technology. Most of these issues seem to be software related issues. Force crashes
Bought this app specifically for its feature of being able to record even while in background. But sadly it doesn't work in background on my Nexus 6 or Note 3. So you can't drive and use this app and map at the same time. Yes, I have tried all the options.
It's a great application but the customer support is nil. I tried to convert a video to a timelapse a couple months ago and it crashed. I haven't been able to access the gallery since. No response from support. TD;LR: It's great, but don't use the video to timelapse converter. Use the in-app camera.
Would like it if it could automatically delete projects without frames and not create a whole separate project in the gallery when you save the video to camera roll. UPDATE: Used to be perfect, but now when I'm making stop - motion and press the take more frames button, the picture that tells me my previous frame in the background is always the same picture from a few frames back. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Please reply!
Lapseit Pro makes hidef time lapses easy anywhere. I'm making daily videos of clouds for my class
I had a customer call at the last minute and he wanted a time lapse of an event in Downtown Los Angeles. I didn't have my camera gear, so I suggested that we shoot it with the cell phone. I took the suction cup GPS mount from my car window, found an extension cord, and found some rubber bands (to hold the phone on the GPS mount). It took about 20 minutes to set up the gear AND learn the software. The shoot was a success!
Every time i take the timelapse, apps error always show unfortunately close. Please fix it. I would give 5 stars
For the past 2 weeks or so when I go to create a video I keep getting the message "Unfortunately Lapse it Pro has stopped" then goes on saying something about the rendering engine not working.. Getting frustrated especially after I spend money and the devs. don't bother to check and see if the app. needs maintenance or an update. From 5 starts down to 3. Please fix.. Love the app..
Did everything it advertised. Only one small hiccup... It stopped a recording in progress and started another automatically without any reason. Was weird, but it kept both recordings, so no harm no foul.
Great application with a food amount of options. The only thing is, that it auto focusses a lot during the take. Besides that the apps works perfect.
More settings than you can shake a stick at, you're in for a vidja making treat the size of rad mountain. Get it now chiefie, get in charge dawg!
It's pure luck whether you'll get full time lapse you set up. More often than not it'll just stop, no reason, just stop. Tried on multiple devices with no luck. Terribly frustrating when you miss that spectacular sunrise, just fails to deliver every single time.
I have done some pretty awesome time lapses with this app! Its sweet like pure cane sugah
I recorded sequence at 1080with lapse it pro. Tried rendering several times with different settings. But every time it shows video is corrupted. Zip and send project also does not work as it sends mail with no attachments. I sent mail regarding this to lapse it team.. But no reply... Might work for others.. But for me this app sucks... One star from me
Seems to work fine but will not record for longer than a few hours. Tried on 2 different devices. It also doesnt collect all the frames it's supposed to during that time (always short frames based on the capture interval and duration). Works fine for short time lapses.

For us with S5 there are a few issues with the screen just blanking out with nothing to show. However I can't send a report since the phone/app itself doesn't force close. Iv come to realize that I can't use full senser and top quality on everything, or awesome render for music. But if you choose 1080 along with 1 setting below everything top quality it works just fine. Just takes patients and knowing how to properly navigate it.
