App does not work, could not associate order, no option to return vehicle. Had to call phone support and they said the only thing they could do was write a manual note about it.

Who ever came up with this idea should be shot

This app is worthless when trying to return a truck. It tells you to take pictures, yet repeatedly says the camera stopped working. Yet I can take pictures that turn out fine when I close the app. But you must take pictures with the app to return a truck after hours.

App unable to find orders. When setting up an account, they ask for date of birth and you have to scroll back by month which takes forever. Poor engineering overall.

App crashes when using the return equipment feature. This is the last thing you want to happen when you are sitting in a cold parking lot in the middle of the night after a move and you just want to go home. U-Haul, your gonna need to pay for testers! QA!! Shout out to the hard working employees at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Edison who helped me return the truck after their shift already ended.!! those guys rule.

The whole process takes a lot longer than doing everything in person. Great idea, terrible execution. Will never use app again.

Used the app to reserve a truck when I arrived to pick it up there was no truck at the lot all of a sudden the app informs we that I never made a reservation when it clearly stated otherwise. Also no one was there on their supposed 24 hour assistance line.

App is not compatible with my phone. None of the links to external apps work. I wasted time getting off work to go to a site and not be able to pick up the truck because of this useless app. And I don't understand why you are unable to pick up a truck by sending your info by email. Makes the customer service center useless except for collecting reviews and telling you they can't do anything to set up a pick up. Don't even bother fixing this broken app, just find a secondary way to pickup a truck after hours. I will not change this review because of how useless customer service is to any issue.

Do not trust Uhaul. We ordered a 26' truck a month ago. Just got a message, less than 48 hours ago ....they overbooked and we won't have a truck to move with today. We had to pay $1500 more on a last minute service. This App is useless just like the company.

I tried to use this app to pick up a vehicle before hours. I got to the step when I was required to verify my driver's license. The app failed to let me take a picture after pressing the button. Tried multiple phones. No luck. My advice, use the mobile website. It worked with no problems. It resembles the app, but it is fully functional.

This app is garbage. It's simply a browser, and when you turn off the screen all your progress are lost. It's adding complexity rather than refusing it. Also, as an Android developer myself, I think this app is made by kindergarten kids. Shame!

App crashes whenever I try to update my info. Not good for a self pick-up. Fortunately an employee was available to help me get my truck the old fashioned way. Waste of time on Android.

This app has serious problems with navigation. For example, if you use the built in customer service chat you can not navigate away to find info they require ... like reservation number. If you do the app doesn't let you use the chat feature because you have an active session.... but you can't get to it anymore. If you start the pickup process and navigate away you can't complete the pickup. Calling a store is still the best option.

So many rev of 1 or 5 stars. It worked wonders for me. Follow the directions, its so simple. You might have trouble if using outdated or very old phones. You'll need to allow the app to use Camera, Location, Phone.

Try to paste my password to log in, app crashes. Try to pre check in for my rental, app crashes. I'm not sure the app can do any thing other then crash when you try to use it for something important

I tried despite poor reviews. Needed for after hours pickup. It worked flawessly on HTC A9. ID snap was processed by rep instantly. I would recommend at least trying this on device. Just have website ready in case it fails. They obviously fixed some issues or they are having problems with compatibility across platforms/OSs.

Can't even use app to purchase boxes! Every time I attempt to enter payment it closes down on me. Can't check for moving help as it closes down again. Completely useless app.

This app is broken. Unable to complete a new reservation. The app looks like it just loads the webpage directly and fails to cache details from page to page. Uninstalling and using website. The app is NOT more convenient.

App doesn't work. Company didn't have a vehicle for me even though I reserved it. Leaving us stranded. No explanation. No apology. Horrible company.

I tried to pick up a vehicle before the store opened. It would not allow me to get past step 5 which is to take a picture of my drivers license. This has completely screwed up my day because i have to wait 2 hours for the store to open

This app is absolutely terrible. U-haul personnel are pretty awesome, but their lives would be so much easier of they didn't have to solve all the problems this app created.

Doesn't retain login information; one has to enter e-mail and password every time the app is opened, even with a fingerprint-scanner-equipped, encrypted, locked device. This makes the app unusable for me. Additionally, I haven't found the the pick up via mobile device process explained and am not willing to experiment during the process of moving. It's one of those ideas that sounds great but if the login implementation is any indication, I'll infer this is poorly implemented as well. U-Haul itself is a great service.

NEVER use the U-Haul App to rent, return, etc... a truck. NEVER. They cannot track its dispatching, key release and other things. I'm currently in the state of a "late truck" that I never took possession of, even though the site and their nation-wide numbers confirmed the truck never left the site. They have NO ability to change the status or document issues, and their App is NOT integrated into their support system.

The worst app for the most unhelp organization. Avoid and use a different service

App requires you to take a photo to pick up truck. Take photo feature does not work with Galaxy S7. Had to use mobile web page instead don't bother with this app.

Went to pick up my rental truck using the self service, and it doesn't work. App does not take a photo of you drivers license. I had to go inside anyway. Useless.

This review is about uhaul in general. I tried to go to their web site to leave a review, but you cant unless you are a current customer. Any way, i rented a truck and trailer from them to go from oklahoma to pennsylvania. And in Tennessee, the trailer came off of the truck going down the road. I am a 61 year old woman and has no idea what to do in a situation like that. So i called uhaul, they would not not send anyone to help me get the trailer back on, even though it was hitched up improperly by their imployee. It took all day to get that back together thanks to the help of a stranger. I only went a couple of blocks and discovered there was a uhaul there. I started crying because they could have helped me and refused. Well because of the accident, i had damaged furniture in the trailer, and they refused to pay on the insurance claim. Said it was my fault the trailer come off. Horrible experience. I will not go back to them ever. And they are way too expensive.

Useless waste of time. Tried using the self return feature to no avail. App kept crashing every time I tried to upload a photo to show that the vehicle was clean. Overall a useless app.

This app was so bad it almost destroyed all of my moving plans. Sure, you download it and it seems fine, but it takes them 30+ minutes to verify your ID (assuming it would've gone through eventually because I wouldn't know) and then when you're picking up your truck it closes out of your order and theres no way to reopen it! Really awesome way to add a ton of stress to an already stressful situation

Biggest POS app, ever. No reason for it at all. Use it to pickup rental? How - not explained. Edit reservation via the app? No, you go to new rentals instead.

I made a reservation for my moving day before the store opened. I logged into the app to find the store didn't allocate the rental so I couldn't check out. They should be glad to know they wasted hours of my time and I will never trust this app again.

Placed order on computer. Tried to use app, but it would just give a "There was an error processing your request" when I tried to access it to check out/in etc.

Horrible app and company! No point using this app! I made a reservation a week in advance and received an email confirmation through this app. The night before my move I receive a call from U-Haul saying they cannot fulfil the reservation. Disgusting business practice and customer service!!! I will spread the word to never use U-Haul.

Garbage! I tried to rent a self pick up cargo van with this app but the location was closed and no key for me.

Doesn't work! I needed to move and couldn't pick up my truck because this app won't take the REQUIRED photo of my license.
