Aldiko Sync

Not sure if I trust this app. Instead if a token, they ask for your full Dropbox credentials, thereby giving them access to ALL your Dropbox files. Way too dangerous!

Sync works only in the pro version...if it works. Need a rooted device and not Aldiko premium. Cmon

Does not work on non-rooted devices?! Root and void warranty?! How does that make sense?

Could not install on my paid for Premium version. Apparently older and free version might work. :-!

Been using this app for years since CM7. Excellent Tech Support, Super Fast response from developers.

This app is a lifesaver. I use it to backup my Aldiko reads between ROM changes and phone crashes and just-in-case moments. I have not really used the sync feature, but I think it would also work very well for that purpose. Sync doesn't take long and if you have the Pro version, I think it would be very convenient. The developer is amazing, and very responsive for support when I had an isolated issue with the app. If you use Aldiko at all and care about managing your reads, you should get this app no question.

I spent the money to get aldiko premium which I love. I decided to get this so I can sync my phone and tablet, but I'm getting a message saying that I can't use this with premium? Why is that?

Love this app, keeps me on the right page whichever device I use. Developer is incredible responsive. Upgraded to Marshmallow and had a fix within a couple of days.

This app has to be in my top 5 favourite android apps. Calibre syncs books to my sgs by not by tab. Now I can sync books from my phone to my tablet and to top that I can sync bookmarks. Developer is an amazing guy that responds to emails very quickly. This is one app I could not be without. If you use calibre and aldiko, and have a phone and tablet then this is a must have. Those complaining about the sync notification icon. Try looking in Settings and tick Hide Status Icon.

Typo during sync: "Loading dowloaded book list..." Simple fix. The UI is weak by modern terms. It would really be of benefit to see DL/UL speeds and or %complete stats. Most of the "log" text is meaningless and reads like debugging detail. I would honestly prefer a progress bar. Nice work, and accomplishes the goal. I have Great Power and Great Responsibility though. Milage for sheep may vary :-)

Works only on old Google Android 7, not the newer Google Android 7. It's unable to sync to Dropbox. I don't suppose I could get a refund?

Does exactly what I need. Syncs between my Galaxy S3, Asus Transformer Prime and my rooted Nook. Update: Still using this. support from the developer is first rate, always responds to queries and produces fixes very quickly. Currently sync'ing between Z3compact, Yoga8 and Nook (albeit with older versions of Aldiko on the Yoga and Nook.)

It is a good app....not! It's an AWESOME app. *However I seem to be having syncing problems on both devices (rooted Nexus7 and Sony Xperia C). I'll definitely give it a five star when this is resolved.* <--silly to keep this I know but what the hell right? UPDATE: It was a network issue...sigh! Both Nexus 7 and Sony Xperia C are properly synched now with all my books appearing on both devices. So always be patient if the app seems to be acting up.

Great idea and works great between my phone and tablets but was wondering is there gonna be a effort to use any other cloud base storage options like Google Drive?

I have been using this app for years and highly recommend it. I had an issue with sync yesterday. I reported the error and received direct support within minutes. They resolved my issue immediately. Very impressed with the application and the support!

App works wonderful. Had an issue with CM12 and the superuser app they were using. Dev worked with me to solve the issue. This resulted in a new version of the app. Great work.

Works great. Customer service is awesome. I have had two seperate issues with this app and both times have had a response within hours and a resolution within less than a day. Well worth the money.

The app.is awesome but I have run into a nice problem. If I rename a book or change its author in aldiko the book is deleted and placed in trashcan on dropbox and removed from Aldiko completely

The biggest thing that Aldiko is missing is the ability to sync your reading list across devices. This app fixes that. Sure you need root, but that's Aldiko's fault not the developers. The developer is quick to respond to any issues. Great app, great service.

I would have loved this so I could sync across my devices like I can with Kindle Reader. Why, oh Why, do you have to ROOT your decive to do this with Aldiko sync though ???? Yes, you can use the older V2.1.0 but I wanted to use the Auto Sync facility. Maybe I am wrong in thinking that upgrade to later versions are improvements NOT downgrades ? Also, I like millions of others DON'T WANT TO ROOT my device which firstly would invalidate my warranty on my 2 new devices, but even IF I was allowed to I DON'T want to mess about with it ! If Kindle can do sync WITHOUT a routed device not to mention you don't need to use Dropbox either ... why can't you ????? I would have given NO stars if I could for this ! By the way I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Aldiko Reader ... 5 star App... but this.. rubbish :-(

I love this simple app; read on my tablet, put it down, move to my phone, pick up where I left off. Looking forward to future updates with more syncing options! Support is top notch, 24 hour turnaround on my emails, never rushed support, always step by step. Happy Customer over here! :)

This has been a very useful app. Will there be a version that works with 64 bit Android soon? It works on my nexus 5, but not my nexus 9

I love this app and the pro unlock is worth the price for automated sync. I had an issue with Dropbox login but just didn't have the latest version installed. My support submission was answered very quickly and by a real person. This app makes aldiko the best book reader.

I had a problem with syncing last night and I was responded too promptly and the problem was fixed today. It is well worth the money.

I reported a problem caused by a Dropbox update and not only received a personal reply within four hours, but almost immediately after that a fixed new version was downloading from Play. Bravo!

Before the recent update, my books failed to sync to my DropBox account. I contacted the developers about the issue and not only did I received a personal response within a hour, I was promised a working version by the end of the day. The updated version was published before day's end. Amazing service guys! Without you guys, Aldiko would not be the best eBook reader.
