UVO eServices for Android
When will there be a update for the car. So i can use the carplay on my Android
The latest version solved my USB problem
I like this app, it works great. Easy to setup and it has a lot of useful features. Definitely recommend it.
After latest update the car can no longer connect to app
Add a native Spotify app to deck.
So far so good. The app works great with my Sportage.
Great app. I am using it daily
Very good app, i recommend it with certainty.
Works perfectly. 2017 "Soul! "
Love it!
2/2017, Latest update adds Android Auto and Apple Car. Amazing Kia has to utilize someone else's app to utilize some functionality. And UVO COST US ALL MONEY WHEN PURCHASING A VEHICLE. Older version in 2014 Optima was all Bluetooth. Update to a 2016 vehicle and you need the USB cable. I spoke to KIA and it's because "UVO has more advanced services". Not sure what those advanced services are, really frustrating to have to be connected by USB....Total BS
I just downloaded the app and have tried REPEATEDLY to login. HOWEVER I get an error message that says "UVO eServices is currently unavailable. Press OK to try again." Well....I did that SEVERAL times and STILL can not get in to explore this app. And before you even suggest that I ensure my username and login are correct, I already have. I read the reviews but was hoping the app had changed. What in the world?
I am really not sure what the point of this app is. About the only thing I can see that helps is the maintenance schedule and parking minder. But u took my car in for the scheduled maintenance weeks ago and it still shows incomplete. I see no way of dismissing this or updating. Just upgrade this to Android Auto already like my salesman told me the car already had.
Before the last update I had no issues with this app. Now it is impossible to retrieve data on my vehicle because I keep receiving an error message that the server is down - 11.28.15. App still does not work. Still receiving an error message that the server is down - 12/26/15. App needs an to relaunch with services that actually work. This App started working again around 02/15/16. Now it has been two months and I cannot even access it at all - 10/24/16.
Is this only available until 100,000. It tells me my vehicle has expired from using this app. It has locked the diagnostic and maintenence portion of app.**UPDATE ** I did email you as per your reply.....NO ANSWER!
Nothing works with this app. I absolutely loathe this app. I was logged into the Uvo App in the phone and connected via Bluetooth to the vehicle. With 13,000 on the vehicle the Uvo App shows 2,200. Parking minder never works. My POIs is blank. This is the number 1 worst app.
After several weeks and several Kia reps, I have been told that this App is not compatible with my Google Pixel, and is only compatible with a total of 6 different phones. This is a major misstep on Kia's part, and really kind of makes me regret buying my new Niro. Part of the reason I bought this car was for the tech it comes with, but now I know that only some of it is actually functional because Kia was too lazy to make it actually compatible with Android.
App not opening on VZ Mobile network. Was my BAD. Somehow my mobile data setup was changed somehow. Had to contact VZW to correct the problem in identifying the APN name VZW uses to verify the link. Properly naming the APN was all that I needed to access the UVO app, login and utility! End of Story!
I love the idea of this app however it's not user friendly in the sense of help and how to's; and is always running. Needs to sync more easily. I'll check back to see if anything changes.
Not sure what this app does. My phone is paired with the car but the app only shows me pairing instructions. Nothing else. Don't really understand the concept. Was trying to get my android phone to work on the voice call function but my 2017 soul only seems to want siri. hmmmmm.
This could be a great app but it lacks anything usefull. You guys need a better developer for apps. You make great cars but really suck at making good useful apps. Im useing this app in my 2015 kia optima hybrid.
Uvo never updates anything on my phone or online even though I plug in the USB each time I drive. I've even started loading UVO before plugging into the car. Also please fix the Parking Minder error where it can't tag your parking location because you have Android Auto in use. Make UVO an Android Auto App somehow maybe then it would work.
No, I don't need to contact support because that won't fix my issue, furthermore it will not change my opinion of the app. You need to listen to your customers because clearly the app is not what people want. The app is essentially worthless. There are no real features associated with the app. In today's technology age, there should be a much better app with much better features. It's a very sad start to what should be a great app and service to the customers. I would be ashamed if I owned/managed Kia.
This app times out when I unplug it from my vehicle. I've already uninstalled and installed but the issue remains. There isn't a specific protocol to unplugging the phone, just unplug it and the app is not supposed to time out. I called customer service and they said there's nothing they can do from their end. I asked for a department that specializes in that area and the person I was speaking to said they were it. I beg you, Kia, please look further into this. I don't want to regret this purchase. Someone please help!!!
Easy to setup, took maybe 5 minutes. Maintenance scheduling is poorly implemented. Why not allow me to indicate what service, prefered date, prefered time, THEN you can call me to help fine tune the appointment.
Call kia several times they did not help at all. What's the point in having the app if don't work. I been reading other reviews and it seems I'm not the only one having issues. FIX THE APP!!!!!!!
I can get all my information from the car before the app could even attempt to work. I mean who makes an app without a sync button so it can connect. Just plugging in the USB isn't helpful at all. The car deny it's own app. SMH @you Kia App
08/01/16: Another attempt to utilize this software. Yet again, it is pure crap, junk, a total waste of my time. Just bought a Soul and a Sorento Love the both of them but HATE the app. It is simply garbage. I can't even add another Kia vehicle. This app is worse than crap. The development team that created this app ought to be FIRED. It is a shameful example of poor workmanship. High School kids could do a better job.
UVO App dis-associates itself from either my Korean Samsung phone and/or my Korean Kia SUV at least every other day. App Odometer is almost always lagging behind real world. Since my last dealer visit, SUV's Infotainment Center CONSTANTLY desclaims that my phone MIGHT have to give my IC permission to allow Address Book to update (phone gives no indication it is unwilling to update) - creating a safety distraction while driving. Parking location fails 9 times out of 10. Uninstalling App.
Older version in 2014 Optima was all Bluetooth. Update to a 2016 vehicle and you need the USB cable. I spoke to KIA and it's because "UVO has more advanced services". Not sure what those advanced services are, really frustrating to have to be connected by USB....Total BS
This app works fine but it needs development. You should be able to sync via Bluetooth instead of plugging into the USB port. Also, remote lock/unlock would make it much more useful.
It is a car selling scam. In Puerto Rico they advertise it as a big feature. And won't even connect. Customers pay an expensive technology package just to get a gps. You call support and they tell you It won't work in PR . UPDATE.They tell you someone will contact you, and they do but will not solve anything
Before the last update I had no issues with this app. Now it is impossible to retrieve data on my vehicle because I keep receiving an error message that the server is down - 11.28.15. App still does not work. Still receiving an error message that the server is down - 12/26/15.
OK. I've had my car a year and still no fix for the ringer volume issue. I'd at least like the option to just turn the ringer off. It'd be better than getting blasted by it. And no one responds from support.
Although this app offers all of the statistics that you might be interested in gathering using your phone, it works only on uprooted (i.e. not rooted) phones. If your phone is rooted... Forget about this app. EDIT: Fixed.
The uvo app and services are pretty horrible. The Bluetooth non connectivity sucks, I tried to book a service appt through the app, was never contacted and have since been sent a text every day every hour asking me about my experience with a link. I called in to get it resolved and they stated it's a very common issue. Waiting on IT to resolve for me and still getting a text every hour
Haven't been able to test drive the app as it frequently tells me to check my network connection when I start it. Kia doesn't appear to be really committed to user experience and smart phone connections.
The paltry few functions of this app are unavailable unless you use the non-fast charging, non-android aware USB "data" port of the car (2016 Sorento SX V6 AWD). Why can't the stupid app do its communication through BT? Or even WiFi? Or here's a brilliant idea: support fast charging! Android Auto has same stupid USB shackles. C'mon Kia!
I have not tried the app but it looks like it could work. Well Our Kia Sportage 2017 says it should be able to work with this app. I was always sure kia was the best. I love kia and thx for everything Kia Motors. :)

Connection between the car (Sportage SX) and the UVO app on my LG V20 cannot be established. Installed the app from Google store, created a an account, logged in, connected the phone with the original USB cable, followed the onscreen instructions to access UVO setup then tried to activate it from My Car Zone. Not connecting, timing out.
