Rescan SD Card!

Thanks to this app my gallery is now inaccessible. All photos and albums are completely disappeared as soon as I started this app, leaving only blank silhouettes in there place. If there was a 0 rating that's what I'd rate this piece of crap.

This program did what others failed (including androids built in media scanner). It found and added 'all' media from my SD card including ringtones. Please be aware that it can take a few minutes, depending on size and speed of SD card, to complete the scan.

It does exactly what I need it to do. My Galaxy S7 does not recognize when I download a picture from certain apps and this makes them appear. I'm glad I could find this app with a simple Google search.

Only thing, Started it but can't tell when it's done. Only received start notification. Two separate starts - same thing. No finish notice. But it seemed to work. Gallery/media is showing it scanned it...

I dont know about othera but 100% worked for me.. In just seconds, it solved my very big problem.. I was going to format it but this app really saved me.. Thanks....

Currently I'm using Nugent on Nexus 5X. Despite the app not being updated in several years it managed to do the one thing I was hoping it would do: update my downloaded photos so that they would appear in my Google Photos without turning off my phone. I gave this app 5 stars because it did what I wanted it to do with my photos, however, I'm not sure sure how well it works with updating other media for other libraries.

I literally spent 2 hrs. looking for a fix for the S5 kitkat issue......When I first came across it I didn't take seriously comparing it to the competition........Defeated/bored, I took the chance I should of taken from the beginning........2 seconds....No BS.....thats all it took.......f%#$ing genius.........thank you....

i thought i have to start from scratch, downloading every apps ive installed on my phone. the gallery showed up automatically too.

this app worked wonders. my friend recommended it to me when i had issues with the music player reading my files. it worked perfectly.

It doesn't do nothing. Pointless

No ads, just a tiny little nag in the toast. The icon is a bit ugly though.

It works just fine for me, but I have full control over my phone, aka rooted.

Small permissions. No GUI but a message telling you it's refreshing file database and that's it. No need to unplug USB cable. Nice :)

Samsung s6. Some saved tumbler pics show up. Some dont. All can be found manually under file viewer. Android 5.0.2. Dunno the prob

I did everything I could to get my files scanned correctly on my temperamental phone, or so I thought. After using this app, it was perfect!

After downloading some new music files none of my music players could see them. One quick tap on the Rescan SD app and they all appeared in the music players list. When you tap on the app there is no visual indication it has done anything. It just makes other apps update their media lists.

After i dropped my phone, Gallery, MX Player, music player etc - None of the files in SD card were getting detected. Although i could manually browse and see the files and was able to write into the SD card. Since the SD card is internal i could not unmount/mount it This app worked beautifully and all files are now showing. Thanks Android 4.4.2

I've been facing a problem of reading files from sd, ive changed roms and lots of things and gb downloads, but ultimately this 28kb is the solution and my whole life was a lie!

lol it's a PoS and doesn't do anything on my samsung s5 - segfault, can't even open. Don't install. Unfort I cannot give it negative stars. Using default KK Is this just malware or something?

The reviews are half right. I downloaded anyway. The reviews say that it's starting and then nothing. Then it runs in the background. My sd card was fully restored! Thought I lost all of my music and Pix! Nope! Thank you so much!

This app is great! It removed undeletable files in my sd card.

This app doesn't give much feedback or indication that it's finished doing anything once you launch it, but thank God it worked. A routine Xperia update pretty much wrecked ALL my SD installed apps, and no amount of reseating, forced rescans or space saving efforts helped for sheeeeit. Needs some kind of frontend for feedback, but it damn well works! (I assume it's got compatibility restrictions, which is why so many others have issues.)

It works absolutely wonderfully, supplemented by the fact that it has no interface to speak of. It's just a one-tap procedure that works elegantly in the background with the occasional toast message. 10/10, flawless.

I spent time to find a fix by Google'ing and non worked. Amazingly, this did fix the issue in just the time it took for its download.. Worth 5 star

After moving over 4gb of media files onto my sd card, no music app would detect those songs back. Tried everything from unmounting the sd card to rebooting the device, clearing data cache etc. But finally it is this app that did the trick.

Worked fast and put my picture in gallery. I have had sooo many problems with my pictures disappearing on my Huawei g730. I have had to follow a long process to get them back. Now I know that if I have the issue again... one click on this app and it's all fixed! :)

A single touch on app scans all the files (takes time of a minute or two). Awesome

Play Music was not showing all the files in my music library. Ran this and they appeared. Awesome little app. 5 stars. Motorola Nexus 6, Android 6.0.1

Because that's what it does. NOTHING! Says Sd card update started and that's all. I even took my sd card out and it says the same thing. Don't waste your time.

Avoid!!!! Download and opened it. Not only has all my media been deleted from my internal storage but it wiped my sd card too! Not Happy!!!!!!

Works like a charm, only issue is it says Sd card updating then you're just left hanging status report wise .Works in the background like a ninja.

It declares that the sd card is being updated , despite the fact that there's no indication of work being done. The second thing it states is a plea to buy the donate version. This app is worse than dog poop , in the fact that dogs can eat poop if theyre starving . THIS APP IS AS POINTLESS AND STUPID AS THE PERSON WHO CREATED IT AND THOUGHT THEY'D MAKE BANK . lol

I have tried many other apps, none of them worked on Lollipop but this simple one.

On my Samsung Galaxy S5 mini running stock Android 4.4.2 (rooted) it doesn't work. A toast message says that it will scan X files and Y Folders and then the CPU load increases noticeable during some time. Then I wait a long time (tested with up to 2 hours). Then I open the stock gallery application and new media files I added manually before launching this app still don't show up. A fix would be very much appreciated.

I accidentally put a .nomedia file on my system directory and all my media file had disappeared. This app made them all reappear! I've tried a bunch and this one actually worked! Thanks!

I've been using it for a while, just got around to rating it. Not giving 5 just because of the incessant donate nag. But I will actually now buy the donate version
