Type S LED

The lights are not as bright as the photo on the box and on the image here depicted. They are not even close to being that bright. I'm sure putting a nightlight in my cat would be brighter than these lights. Not to mention the app has a hard time communicating with the lights. I can change the light color in the app and it'd a good 30 minutes if bot more, before the lights actually change to the color I want.

Does not work on Samsung 8-inch tablet. You can only see Zone one. You are unable to control Zone 2 through 4. The icons don't even show up on the image to be selected. Otherwise works great on Samsung S7 and Samsung S8. Just wished it worked on my tablet as I use my tablet for navigation and other things for travel. Be much more convenient if I could control the lights as well on my tablet.

Off-road light system will not work with "Nexus 4" phone. It installs, it opens, but "turn on" does nothing. I tried my friend's phone (G5) and it works fine with the G5. I am not interested in purchases an additional phone to use this product. Please correct this issue as soon as possible, and offer an update please. I will then provide a new rating of the product/app. Thank you

Lights were working fine for 1 year. Once I did an app up date for Type S app on my Samsung Galaxy mega phone it only shows zone one now . It don't show zone 2,3 and 4. When are you going to correct that?

Works great, even from inside most structures it was able to connect to my 2 Type S Smart Off-road lights. Definitely recommend to anyone who like to get away from it all but remain tactically alert. I can activate from tent while camping if I have unwanted guests out there in the dark or just use it to look at wildlife. Mike A, Texas

I bought it 4 months ago and It was working fine. since 2 months im having a pronblem to turn it on. Every time I have to stop and pup the hood and reset it to connect again sometimes it works like that and sometime it doesn't work please get it fixed I can't use it at all. I'm not saying it's bad but it needs better app !!!

bright leds but my samsung s8, which is bluetooth 4.0 as required wont connect to the hub. Also, one of the led strips in the kit came missing a prong and chewed up looking so its virtually useless. If I'm going to pay $60+ on only 48 inches of LED, I want it to all work flawlessly and effortlessly.

Just recently purchased the smart exterior kit and installed it inside my car. when it works its awesome but it like to shut off about ten seconds after you swtich it on. Tryed bothed power ports in my car same thing. Would rate 5 star if i did t have this problem. Ive had the smart off roads lights and the regular smart hub kit and had no problems

Just installed them today. The lights gave me a small problem with them talking to each other and a loose ground on one of the wire harness. But they are working so far so good! I would like to see faster lights ON from the app.

Just installed them last night. Created a very cool Battlestar Galactica Cylon Centurion effect in my rear window. My friends all freaked out. They LOVE it. Described my car as "the party car!" Awesome! Keep up the good work!

It would be great if the app could go onto my truck console and or have the app keep the phone on while in use On the note 8. Pain in th3 @ss to have to mess around with the phone while driving

So far so good. I'm a little apprehensive due to the significant issues other users seem to be having. I'm installing the trim kit and the exterior kit in my BMW track car just for fun. So far as soon as I turned them on, they paired up and everything controls as expected. Will update if anything changes. If not, assume they're awesome. Samsung Galaxy S8+

Doesn't work with Samsung Tab E. I only see one zone, no matter how many strips I have plugged in, and doesn't matter what option, slider I change, does not do anything. Basically a waste of money at this point. Save your money and find something better, like I will have to now. Shame.

The functions are awesome but the lights won't stay on longer than 7 seconds. Just happy I tested the lights before I installed them. Another downfall is there is no I do for customer support. Serious let down.

I love the idea it's awsome BUT...... it definitely needs some updates to make it even better especially for people like me who have invested lots of money on multiple different kits..... so I have altogether bought 2 interior kits 2 exterior kits 2 dome lights a interior trim set, also I got the extension cables set, and also the connectors set and I don't think that's all but that's all I can remember at the moment ....... idk how much I have spent but it's well over 250..... so a few things I would love to be able to do is 1. I'd like to either be able to set up 2 or more hubs per light set up or a way to hook up more then just 4 spots for lights it's basically like u can only hook up 4 lights so right now in my car I have 2 interior hubs running but I'm unable to set the zones for one of the hubs and same for my exterior lights.....

Installed under lights and off road lights. You can't control them together you have to close the app and log back on. Also when you log on it picks a zone and tells you that it's already on but the lights aren't. So I have to turn it off unplug the fuse then plug it back in and turn it on from the app. Then to run the other set of lights I close app and repeat selecting the other zone. Then they won't turn off unless I pull the fuse

Initially worked when I bought them, now I have no control from the app. The lights come on in cycle mode and I can't change it from the app, I've tried unplugging the lights, turning the power off and on and nothing seems to work. If the control issue can be fixed then I'd give it 5 stars.

It's OK, the lights are bright but sticking is kinda a problem but not so much. The app needs work. I would suggest immediate, AUTOMATIC, Bluetooth connection, not manually having to select the connection. Also add an option to apply presets to certain times of the day. So if I want the brightness up in the day, it will do so automatically. Also the box blinks too much and too brightly. Other than that I enjoy my purchase. Wires are long for big cars,

Colors work great and connects just fine through the app. However when I go to shut the lights off I have to connect and unconnect to Bluetooth sometimes 40+ times just to get them to shutoff which is more than frustrating.

This app needs to be updated. The connectivity with Samsung s8 for an off road light bar is terrible. The app is the only way to operate your lights, and it cannot reconnect to the light once you turn it off unless your restart the vehicle.

Purchased this to put into my 18 wheeler. First setup was pretty easy and straight forward. But the mistake was once I had it connected to my phone I also tried to connect it to my tablet to control the lights from there. Once I did that now I can't control the light on my phone or change them at all. And the tablet only sees the one light strip. After unplugging and restarting and reinstalling on both devices nothing is working and I'm ready to pull my hair out. Or throw this unit away. Whichever comes first.

**updated to the bottom after reply**I love m LEDs in the grill but I would love to see an option to have them pulsate from left to right then right to left back and fourth like for example like knight rider. Update, thanks for letting me know I just bought the 72" inch kit today to install in my grill and moved other with hub to my interior and have it on the music option to play with music, to bad there is a sensible option to set how sensible it is to play with my 2,000 watt app and subs in my 2007 crown Victoria interceptor. I love the many more light patterns on the new set of my 72" once kit I got today from AutoZone, I have it on the knight rider effect. I loves it. I wanna get the dome light kit next, is it campatible with a 2007 crown Victoria interceptor?

Won't connect to my note 8. They said they'll be coming out with an update for it to work. But they don't know when. So for now they are useless on my Jeep. Thanks...

Please fix!!! Spent 80$ on this kit and only 1 zone works and shows up.... I can only control one color, not cool guys I feel like I was ripped off now what's going on with this

The smart LED hub only shows one led instead of four. The latest update that shows four is 1.3.9 and can be found by putting in Type S app into Google. I contacted the company about this and was told to email the people who created the app. The people who created the app obviously have no intention of updating it so if you have a kit and can't get it working correctly uninstall this app and manually download the 1.3.9 apk

Garbage.. doesn't change colors. App work when it wants to. Lights stop working now and then. Very disappointed. Won't be installing on customers cars

Everything was working perfectly fine, but now I have no control over the smart hub anymore. I cant change colors, I can't change any setting. I've unplugged it to reset it, and uninstalled and reinstalled the app.

Very cool, would really like to see a dashboard or background view for the app with at least the saved presets. As it is I have to switch backh and forth to text or change music. Will rate 5 stars if this becomes a feature

In my 96 z28 i Have the 48" smart led(4 12" strips)in my interior, the panel light, 2 of the 72" string lights around my t-tops & the 4 smaller square area lights in various places. Also have the 24" rapid scan kit with hyper bright extensions. Everything worked flawless for about 3 months. Then there was a big thunder storm and crazy humidity and all the strip lights (INSIDE the car) got all clouded and now have water drops in them. The hyperbrights don't scan correctly now and certain colors won't stay on. There are no loose connections or broken connectors.

Awesome when it works but always shuts off really quickly I'd love to have it stay on for hours at a time. Really annoying that it doesn't :(

Didn't have anything about if u got smart led lights keep blinking off and on... Or u have the app installed and the lights are on blue and you you selected the smart LED box but you cannot get the lights to change any other color are blink or do anything

Update 1/2/18: 72" exterior lights will not work below freezing per customer service. We are in the 20's. Will have to wait for it to warm up. Original post:::: Have had the exterior 72" installed and working for a night and half a day and now nothing. It's cold here.( In the 20's F) Does cold weather cause issues maybe? I rechecked all the connections and my hubs light flashes blue. Nothing has pierced the led strips on either side and all the wires are in out of the box shape and the fuse is great too. I also tried running things from my 12V connection inside my vehicle vs the battery and uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still nothing. My interior set up is working great. My exterior is just messed up. Help please. I love these lights and want them to work.

Like many others only zone 1 works. You can't even see the options to change the other zones. Work great for zone 1 but unacceptable that no other zone works. Will changes stars when this gets updated.

Off road app doesn't have the same features as the other controllable lights. It would be great if the off road lights also had the glow, blink, prism, and cycle features.

It's alright, using it in my car system. So I'm using music mode. The problem, it needs sound sensitivity control, the lights picks up all noise! I have it right next to bassbox and I also put insulation around the control box. It still picks up the slightest Sound. If they come out with Sound sensitivity control I'll buy it. This one I am handing off to a friend. I want something to go with my bass, not everything else. Oh Yeah, the wire connectors wether the control box or lights, slides off so tape them down!

Spectacular, my only complaint is the mic on the box is terrible for music mode if the car is moving. Could you possibly add an option for the music mode to function either from the box Mic or by the sound output from the phone? So that background noise doesn't interfere from the car engine

It's cool when it works right. It loses connection of the time. when it does half of the lights will go out or change to a completely different color. it's very aggravating!!!

I love the idea of this, but I can't figure out how to connect my app to my hub to control my lights. I'll be happy to revise this review if I figure out how. Sadly I haven't been able to do so of yet after looking through the manual and the internet.

App doesn't work on the Samsung S8+ I have no control over none of the settings I've reset the hub and tried reinstalling the app.

I bought a interior smart lighting kit and the lights won't change colors after I was changing the colors on my phone setting up presets and are stuck on yellow?? And will not change taking this junk back to return it
