ArtWalk for Android
I don't know what people are complaining about. The ap works perfectly and is fast to load. It shows you exactly where the art is on the art walk and it gives you information about the art. The map easily magnifies by spreading 2 fingers on the screen as do all virtual maps now. It's not meant to show all the art in Surrey, just the works that are on one specific art walk.
Doesn't work
I've been able to load this app to my phone and run it without much of a problem. What I did notice, however, is that it does not seem to be designed completely with the user in mind, as if instead its layout is meant to mainly just look pretty while making the app a tad bit hard to understand. The in-app map has some use, but is inefficient due to the lack of magnification tools, causing me to slide around the map hoping to find some useful information instead of zooming out and easily locating new and interesting information. This leads me to my next issue. There is very little to find on this app. The only art installations on this app are located in Surrey City Centre while there are most definitely numerous other installations around the city that have been left out. I understand that this app is relatively new and will have some glitches, but I fully expect this app to be updated in the near future to address its base functionality as well as its lack of actual information about art in Surrey. (PS, there is a glitch when viewing the intro to the app in the landscape orientation)
It dosnt work
Installed on my tablet and I only get to the second screen , it says 'loading' and just sits there...uninstalled..
