2player 2.0 UPnP/DLNA Player for Android
i love this app feel and look good i can see my media servers. like towoky Logitech and other servers but i love to have a "2player server" on the pc so i can have a dedicated server for Music to play over the network and search for music or song im look for and have a dns-gatway (or something lick that) so when not at home i can still see my music on the road.. right now there are on remote Music server out there so i can here my music i hop some day you can add and make some like this idea i think it add grate service
Need a Player for playing from Network-Ressources, but "2Player" finds no Network-Drive at all! Only for Mediaserver!
Please fix the refresh system of new items. The app will not detect any new items that are placed in any folder on my pc. I can only view old items that were there from months ago. I can watch all new items everywhere else except on my Tab. Please fix or I want my money back. It's a waste of my time.
Wrote to the developer. No response. None. It's my fav player...but too bad no one seems to be home.
Best dnla music player that I have found.
Best DLNA Media player yet
App is great but support not so good. I've not received a response to 2 emails requesting help.
Work very well with my xbox 360, LG DLNA TV, Mygica realtek 1186 media player. Play from my Samsung S6, Plex media server or window media player 12 in PC.Support in display album name, artist name, song title & chinese characters unlike some apps can't do it. In term of stability, control and support, this app win my heart.
No longer seems to be getting updated or supported
What can i say, i was a supporter of v1 from an early release, v2 i was initially disappointed with it until i got a reply from Robin within an hour of asking support, he went away looked into the issue and came back within 1/2hour with the correct solution, what more can you ask for?? The app is fluid and extremely fast in displaying albums and thumbnails, ive got a big music library and this is very noticable. My main setup is NAS drive and i stream to a raspberry pi running Kodi but not exclusively 10/10
This is a very polished app with a streamlined UI. It has optimizations if any of your music sits on a Windows box. I use it to stream media from my Windows server or locally from my phone to various devices around the house.
I have Mediatomb as a UPNP streaming server, and this is the only app I have found that works perfectly. Thank you!
Great app! Finally can play all my nas stored music on my wireless speaker with no problem! And using this with any other player also works for sending shoutcast or local store music on device!
Works fine with Sony cmx-700. In some cases and some devices it just drops communication on dlna players or just jump to the next song while it is still not finished.
Good app but doesn't work on my Nexus 5 :(
I use this app frequently for streaming audio and video from my NAS drive to my phone & tablet; it works great. I have tried various other DLNA apps over time, but I always come back to this one. Perhaps a UI refresh would be good, but otherwise, first class.
Now if we can get about a ten band equalizer, I would give it five stars.
Have used this app for a number of years and works great. Only wish it would work on my Fire TV.
Needs update to support Chromecast
Solves my pet peeve with other DLNA-like media players, which is their inability to step back through the song selection tree. This app allows you to do that (it's easy to miss, as some reviewers have, but it's there). It would get 5 stars if it could show the Now Playing info while still in the current playlist or album selection. There's lots of space on my tablet display. Instead, you have to click a button to see song progress, but from that view it can only take you to the playlist; it's hit-and-miss from there to get back to the album view, or at least I haven't figured it out. I usually want to be able to get back from Now Playing into the last album from which I added songs to the playlist. Like most of these apps, this one seems to expect you to create a playlist and then sit back and listen for 2 hours without the need to see the album list in the meantime. But I'm always adding songs to play next, interrupting what's in the playlist, so the playlist idea is not that important for me. But as with other apps, this one seems to focus on creating those playlists as the main purpose, rather than making it easier for you to act upon your musical mood at any particular moment.
Good operation and sound, better than any of the others I have tried. Quick and detailed support. A+++
Use it all the time with a foobar2000 upnp server. Also wanted to say that it works great with an xbox one.
Nice ui and no slowdown so far, but wont display all mkv files I have in the list. Works okay with pc as source, (except for those missing files) but if I select a media server on my pc (mezzmo), it display all files, but files not suporTed so wont play, I guess this app is not designed to play like this. The mkv files wont pkay either. What files are supported?
I use 2Player to stream mp3s from home pc to phone, and it works great for that. It's the most reliable and solid of any of the streaming apps like it.
When it works it is great, but there are times when devices cannot find each other on the local network.

Maybe this is a great app. Maybe it's not. But one thing it doesn't have is support from its developer. I had trouble getting it to play, it keeps telling me my music file type is "not supported." (MP3 is not supported?) Ok, maybe the problem is on my end, my network setup or something. So I wrote the developer through the support link in Google Wallet. No reply. Two days later I wrote again directly on my email. A week now...nothing. Whether its a great app or not, ignoring your customers is not a great business strategy.
I emailed with a question twice. Have heard back with some ideas. Still working on it.
Every time I exit the app and try to go back into it the app crashes. This was on a previous phone, if it works better on new phone I will update the review.
Breeze to use, does all the things I need well. Perhaps, improvements in recognition of different media servers will come soon, but my Plex is always recognized.
Recent interface changes make this a week designed app. I also like his it connects to my Synology NAS box via DLNA.
This does EXACTLY what we needed in a networked media household! Using my S4 phone to push or pull songs to the media server is the ultimate. Six stars out of 5!
Flexible and powerful
Have used 2player for ages on my phone. I now want to use it as the music player on my android TV media center (cos xbmc sux for music!). Is there any chance you could: 1 add an option for a dark theme to all ui components , and 2 add an option to automatically switch to 'now playing' screen after, say 20 seconds of music playing if no buttons are pressed. Anyhoo even if you can't I'm gonna keep using your awesome app.
Please make it so I can see the songs on my playlist, not just when editing. Pls another widget for playlist only.
The only thing i'm really missing in this app is an easy way to create playlists. I listen to audiobooks a lot, and as the files all are in a single folder, i need to be able to select a few files and drop them in a playlist. Thats annoying the way it's done in 2player.
I've enjoyed this app tremendously and impressed my friends regularly. I like that it works via a standard protocol that is supported by Windows media player and many stand-alone devices.
