About SyncBack Touch

Quick help:

- Install SyncBack Touch on your Android device.
- Install SyncBackSE or SyncBackPro on your Windows PC.
- Create a profile targeting your SyncBack Touch device.
- Now you can backup the files on your Android device.

Highlights:

SyncBackPro/SE is required to be installed on a Windows PC within the same local network since SyncBack Touch doesn't perform any operations on its own.

Allows easy backup/restore and sync operations between your PC and your Android device(s).

A multitude of SyncBackPro/SE options provide a highly configurable backup/sync operation.

User has full control over each backup/sync via SyncBackPro/SE.

No need to worry about data leaks, since everything is being transferred encrypted within your local network, without the need to connect to any servers over the internet.

Interested in using SyncBack Touch on other platforms? MacOS and Windows versions are available on the 2BrightSparks website as well.

Each SyncBackPro/SE comes with two complimentary SyncBack Touch connections and additional connections can be purchased separately as required.

The app is working very well even on my CyanogenMod phone which was giving me trouble with other backup systems. It is fun to walk into my office and see the backup pop a browser window saying that it just backed up my phone. Gives me a greater sense of security.

K70%
by K####:

Doesn't work at all. It claims it's copying files over (VERY SLOWLY) but the next time I run the profile it tries to copy everything all over again. It also made my phone incredibly hot.

Z70%
by Z####:

This program is unusable. Impossible to configure. Syncback for Windows wants non exist serial numbers. Written by 2DimSparks, and possibly abandoned.

K70%
by K####:

No more cables and ftp server workarounds. Just connect to the same WiFi network and start syncing!

H70%
by H####:

Works as expected, it syncs to my laptop upon both devices being connected to LAN and my laptop syncs to my Amazon Unlimited cloud. Happy as can be.

K70%
by K####:

I tried different solutions including the app that came with my Synology NAS (disaster) this app works, you can syncronise any remote binder. The only thing I really miss is a progress meter to show how far it is in the sync.

L70%
by L####:

I did not want this running in the background, using up my battery and data, and the devs listened and inserted an option to fully quit when exiting. Wonderful! Now the app can be configured to behave the same as when I first purchased. I don't need or want a constantly-running background service and I'm happy that option functionality has been restored as of 1.3.4. Thanks!

X70%
by X####:

Unusable. Fails no matter how it's configured. This program is a failure, especially compared to the Windows program. What app scores 3.1 out of 5.

I've been using SyncBackSE for years to backup, including backing up files from my home PC to the external SD of my Android phone over WiFi using an FTP Server app running on the phone. Unfortunately, with a recent upgrade to Marshmallow 6.0.1, the FTP Server app lost the ability to write to the external SD. I thought I would give SyncBack Touch a go, and am pleased to report that it was very easy to setup, and I can now backup from my PC to the external SD on my phone over WiFi again. Very happy :)

Great App.

M70%
by M####:

Worthless. Intermittent connections, then files vanish completely (SyncBack on my PC claims it copied the files to my phone, but I don't see them anywhere). In general, the SyncBack Pro Windows application (i.e. not this Android app) is worthless for copying files to/from phones, even if you use a USB connection and MTP - it is dog slow and freezes randomly.

P70%
by P####:

This app is utterly unreliable, not recommended.

Q70%
by Q####:

Unfortunately I upgraded without trial from v6 to v7 just to backup my Android phone. This app won't work until screen is on and the touch app is open. Can't do anything autonomously. Also keeps coming back annoying notification icon. Waste of money $30

Y70%
by Y####:

it can detect files and folders but doesn't write or syncronise files to SD card of my Galaxy Tab A. Rubbish program taking up space if it doesn't sync to SD card.

T70%
by T####:

I use SyncBackPro on my PC and it's the best. But this little app gives you no choice to choose folders from your Android device to sync... I tried to choose one folder but it syncs the whole device... Please fix this

K70%
by K####:

My phone (nexus 5, lollipop 5.0.2) needs to be unlocked before a connection to syncbackpro can be established. When the phone goes into standby the backup stalls resulting in a large list of uncopied files in the error-log. Something like bittorrent sync can run in the background and keep files synced between phone and pc without user intervention, much more preferred.

E70%
by E####:

Doesn't work like sync back on a PC. No way to select a group of files then send them to another device.

Z70%
by Z####:

Great little app and the main reason I upgraded from SyncBack SE6 to 7. Didn't give a 5 star rating as I'm sometimes disconnected, still a great tool and something that will keep me with SyncBack on my Windows dedktop

K70%
by K####:

This is exactly what I was looking for.unfortunately it reads all files on the sd correctly but fails to actually copy them, no matter what file I try. I just get a big list of "timeout expire" in the log section. Using most updated app and the latest syncback pro 7.

Doesn't connect

K70%
by K####:

I've enjoyed Syncback SE for many years now so with the app I've got all my backup needs covered. GREAT!

Y70%
by Y####:

The backup itself works well for sD card contents i. e. data. Few issues need sorting around scheduling and connection to move it to 5 stars. I will re-create when sorted.

Y70%
by Y####:

The app is a little bare bone at the moment, simply allowing a connection to the desktop client, but everything works as advertised and connectivity appears to be robust. Recommended!

Z70%
by Z####:

It would be good if you could see progress within the app, if it could be set to run minimized and a dark skin wouldn't go amiss either.

Y70%
by Y####:

Pros: a) Seamless integration with the Syncback windows app b) No syncing over 4G - a good thing Cons: b) Non so far - will monitor for battery usage

Y70%
by Y####:

Now I've got control over backing up my and my wife's data on every piece of equipment we have - Windows, Mac and Android. Can't wait for the iOS version. Come on Apple, allow legitimate developers to provide useful apps.

Y70%
by Y####:

For Windows SyncBackSE/Pro users SyncBackTouch is the best solution for connecting to your Android device over WiFi and performing backup/restore operations. No more need for MTP and other bothersome methods.
