Since I'm rating the app and not the actual headset / transmitter I gave it 2 stars. App hasn't been updated in almost a year. Like everyone else, I would love to see a custom eq built for this app. The TB presets suck except for super human hearing. Signature sound is OK with some TV shows. Very helpful to have when you have to change your Headset settings for the 20th time after inadvertently brushing them against anything and accidentally changing the settings. I have the 800 Elites and it keeps telling me that the Super Human hearing is unavailable. Not sure why since the 800's are one of the sets that allows you to have it.

Keeps freezing every now n then. Have to reset it. Does need an equaliser for more custom sound like everyone would love. When in party my voice sounds muffled to people in party. Im using elite 800x's. Hope you can fix some of these issues. Or these could be the last turtle beach i buy or recommend.

Every now and then u lose game sound or party sound the app hasn't settings for any type of reset I regret buying these headphones .... mind u this was my 4th set

I just got the 800X and they are amazing. Using this app with that headset; even better. A lot and pretty neat options and setting, sound modes and volumes. The bad: at least personally I think, the headset announcing every change you make is unnecessary and quite annoying. Maybe think about adding an option in which all volumes would increase/decrease along with game volume (or along any other channel) otherwise 5 starts. Good and efficient app. Very recommendable

I keep my phone handy when gaming. If I accidentally change a setting or sound/mic profile by bumping a button while gaming, this app will let me set what happened & let me fix it quickly. I find the voice prompts do a good job letting me know what happened, but it's nice to fix it with a single tap in the app than to move through the profiles/settings one at a time. A quick glance in the app will tell me if everything is set the way I like it. This is quicker & easier than the PC app. No cables needed!

I have no problem with the app. All the reviews of people who do seem like they are being too picky. I understand why people want custom equalizer settings, but I'm ok without them. I'll use the ones that turtle beach developed and tested

Owned all top spec turtle beach and without a doubt the 800x has to be the worst for reliability. I have to reset it twice a week as freezes or loses sync or mic stops working. And all the help desk offered was to reset and update.....

Does what it says. Just get your settings on your ps4 right, i.e output to headphones set on chat. It will work the other way. But not properly or as loud. Agree with others. If it had an equaliser on it, that would 5 star the app.

The app works for mixing all the different audios coming however I wish there were preset options I could make for when I'm playing alone, with my team or just doing some grinding. The mic monitoring is terrible which matters because I don't want to be yelling at night while my wife is sleeping. The mic monitoring needs to be doubled at least.

800x suck. I wanna make my own custom presets cos theirs suck. 7.1 surround sound I think not. Px5's were by far the best headset they ever made. App is basic and also sucks

Noise cancellation sucks mic sucks had to buy vmoda Mic. Returning this. Too expensive for no support or updates or fixes. Cheap plastic.

Absolutely fine for everything but the maximum volume for microphone monitoring is too low and speaking barely hits the feedback threshold

Sometimes I have to close and reopen the app multiple times for it to connect to my elite 800x and it feels like it limits how loud it can get with certain presets especially any footstep focus when I could use it louder so I can hear the footsteps and superhuman hearing makes everything loud but muddled. Also doesn't let me control game or chat volume if I have the game volume turned all the way down when I start the app

Elite 800 Please add a equalizer and update you app more! Ive tried so many settings when whatching movies, TV, and playing games and 50% of the time the audio isn't loud enough and/or muffled or just sounds awkward. Come on TB.. I paid $300 for these.. Support your customers better.

Honestly this is prefect. Anything else would only improve on a great product. Does what it advertises. Want more, yes. Need more, not really. I honestly suggest that if you feel the headset doesn't sound right or is weak, not enough bass or anything, contact the support line. I had mine connected incorrectly for months thinking that I had sound so it must be correct right. Nope. The support line had me fixed and what a difference. Even if you think your right, call them anyways.

Paid alot of money for this headset upgrading from turtle beach px5 in my opinion was the best headset I ever owned with all the custom presets we were allowed to make but now we can't set the sound the way we want to hear and I'm playing over watch and the app doesn't even update new presets to new games that come out wtf 400 bucks u guys need to fix this we are gamers we want the best this headset now as it stands is amazing for watching movies or listening to music but I want to game and hear everything

Works really great with my elite 800's. If it works with said headset it does exactly what it's supposed to but my only complaint is it doesn't work with all turtle beach headsets.

I have the elite 800 and they are ok. Needs to be louder and more bass. It seems as though they are going off their name instead of quality. I agree with some of the other post, we need to be able to do updates and presets with out connecting to the pc. They make wifi cards for cell phones. Make a way to use the app for updates. Also would be nice to get audio preset notifications of when new ones come out.

Headset and app are great - HOWEVER - for the money we ALL have spent on such a great headset, give us more options. I know how I like things to sound, let ME set them. Give us the ability to add a little here, take away a little there ... The app is great so I don't have to touch my headset during play - all my needs are via phone (that is sitting near me during play anyway) Would love to rate 5 but can only rate 4. Give us MORE CONTROL

I have had the 800x for 5 months and love them. Unfortunately I have a problem with the sound of the presets being to deep and muffled. I understand everyone's taste is different but adding a EQUALIZER to the app would resolve that issue. Other than that the app works smooth. I will defiantly change my rating of this app when this has been updated.

I was having some problems with my elite 800's for the ps4 as the party mode chat wasn't working properly. Got this app and it was sorted within not just minutes but seconds. Very easy to use. Some people are not happy because it hasn't got a graphic equaliser but I think that is just being really, really picky. Great app highly recommended

The only thing missing is an adjustable equalizer. The dialog gets lost in the mix on some games. Presets are fine but if you can make your own sound profile for each input,this app and headset combination would be hands down the best out there. Elite 800 headset

I probably wouldn't mind these headphones if the sound didn't constantly cut out during my game play. The presets are so so. I think my Tango are actually better. Might actually trade these 800 in for A50. Sad to say. Have always used Turtle Beach.

App just arbitrarily loses connection to the headset. Wants to connect to Bluetooth, but already connected. More trouble than it's worth. I have, had to reset my Xbox, factory settings, and reload everything to get the people in my party to hear me talk. Undocumented feature I guess.

I recently upgraded from the 500's to the 800x about a week ago, and not impressed at all with the presets, or the fact that you cannot have a custom preset. All of the gaming presets sound muffled, and not clear at all. Plus you can only have 6 presets, the 500's had 8. I do like the fact that they are wireless, the app is a good concept as well. Id give these 5 stars all day if the presets sounded better, or i could equalize a custom sound.

I have issues connecting it to my phone. My other bluetooth headset connects every time no fail but theses sound way better. Just wish there was more support and less bugs.

400 dollar headset same settings on headset and app no new game presets why no support? New games no new presets? If a new game comes out make a preset. There are so many options on the Elite 800x headphones that the app is a necessity. The app is pretty easy to use, but light on the labeling as it uses icons for everything. Takes a minute to learn by trial and error.

Needs custom eq all sounds are muffled and when you turn it up loud the bass is stupid and it rattles when listening to music sounds horrible when it rattles.

Absolutely love this app. I recently acquired a Turtle Beach Elite 800. This app is designed to go with it and it does the job of controlling the headset perfectly. The headset can be controlled using the buttons on the side of the headset earplates. However with the Elite 800 being so feature rich this app helps alot. Using the app enables you to switch to a new mode directly with out having to cycle through modes to get to the mode you want. A fantastic app thank you Turtle Beach!

It would be nice to have a firmware update that will allow volume control for media playback via bluetooth. That's really the only big flaw about these headsets and bluetooth media playback.

I have had the 800x headset for a while and it's great. The only problem with the app is I can't update my headset through it or download specific game audio. Example I have specific Destiny audio I downloaded but only after I connected my headset and my charger plate to my computer and dug through turtle beaches terrible website. That is also how I updated my headset. There needs to be more functionality with this app barely use it bc all the controls are on my headset why would even use this app?...

To start off great look on the app overall, with that been said there is a shortage in custom presets for AAA games recently coming out. I want to hear the explosions and gun fire at the right settings so I don't miss a single thing of my new copy of black ops 3, but I also want to have the right preset for action pack adventure games like uncharted the Nathan Drake Collection. The presets need to be consistently updated to keep the the consumer satisfied with your preset collection.

At times connection to headset (Elite 800) will fail and the only way to connect to the app again is to power cycle the headset. Otherwise great app. Could be more useful if you could cycle presets from app as well.

It works great! People complain about the sensitivite buttons on the headset but the app fixes all of that. I change modes and preset just with a push of a button on my phone.

Few minor bugs. That I'm knit picking about. Headset: Can't answer calls without getting disconnected from Xbox Live. I've talked a tech and did what they told me to do. Still having the problem. App: The Volume sliders keep fluctuating from no volume to mid to high to low. It doesn't change my volume I hear. When I slide them to heighten my chat over my game it doesn't work. I have to use the buttons on the headset. Like I said just knit picks. All in all live them both.
