AudioBT Plus for Android
I am a recent Windows Phone user and one of the things my phone did well was connectivity with my car's Bluetooth system. When I switched to Android was completely frustrated that GPS voice turn by turn directions would not play when using Sirius or radio. Only worked when playing music from my phone. AudioBT although not perfect did the trick! Highly recommend for Ford owners.
Oh wow, what happened? ABT+ was never quite happy on my rooted GS4; if I inserted enough delay to hear the first of a message, then the connection would drop before the end of the phrase. But on my new unrooted Pixel it worked perfectly.. until the 3.2 update. Now the phrase is almost completely truncated, worse than on the GS4. Valentine's Day Massacre. UPDATE: I didn't have the "Don't reset SCO" advanced option checked. At the designer's suggestion, I checked it. That seems to have made the difference. Back to 5 stars for me.
Very close to what I need.Windows mobile did this to perfection with Cortana. This app turns on with my gear s3 connected.thus runs all the time, muting my phone the entire time. Please allow us to select what Bluetooth device to use, like the truck only. Great work! I'll have to turn my watch off while driving for now. Now I have to figure out how to get android to read my texts like Cortana.
It works well for most things including navigation on Google Pixel XL. One major annoyance is that calls made through Google Assistant are made using speakerphone rather than Bluetooth and then k have to change it to Bluetooth. I think it might be because I'm already "in a call" when I'm using Google Assistant through Audiobt
I want to be able to play music through my car Bluetooth, while I listen to map directions through Google maps in my Bluetooth earpiece. But when I use this app, the music player says it cannot play during a voice call. Any suggestions?
Great for playing google maps voice commands over car bluetooth system. Although it does clip the start of the command slightly.
Not very good does not read my text misses words
Great App ! Works for me. Only question I still have is how to close the app using MacroDroid ! Developer, any suggestions?
Notification reading working again. 3.2.1 update.
VERY Frustrating. Disconnects phone calls at random moments. The technology (routing media channel to car audio channel) seems to work OK. BUT, if I'm in the middle of a phone call and something sends a notification, AudioBT cuts into the phone call, reads the notification, and then hangs up... Yes, it hangs up on the person I was talking to!!
Does not always pick up the Bluetooth connection and my phone refuses to play music while this is active, no matter what settings I use. Once I disable AudioBT it plays just fine
Does exactly what I need reading SMS out via car . I tried others but none of them worked, this work right out of the box.
Use it with waze and it's ok
DO NOT BUY! MOVE ON Verizon Note 5 - Android v. 6.0.1 - Not Rooted I tried the free version of this app and it worked flawlessly for the first 5 messages from Waze. So I thought GREAT! I finally found an app to do what should be baked into Waze in the first place. So I paid for the full version of this app. After making the purchase, and the download, I started using the app but unlike the free version the paid version had delays and cut the message off. So, I started playing with the settings and things just got worst. I uninstalled the app, shut the phone down and cleared cache in recovery. Booted the phone back up and got a "Bluetooth share error" force close. I rebooted multiple times and am not receiving that error anymore. I really wish I could recommend this app, but I can't, and it may actually be harmful to your device.
Great application I can listen to music and be interrupted when a navigation comes in. The message is clipped and that causes problems. I do not want to root my phone
Works fine with my 10-year-old car, now I have a fancy automatic voice text reader like it's the 21st century! If I could specify which Bluetooth devices this should work with, it would be perfect, because now I have to manually turn it off if I want to listen to music on my headset at home.
It wasn't as simple as turning it on. It took a little fiddling. There is no media audio in my Bluetooth device setting, only phone audio. I tried turning that off, but it disconnects the device. Connecting to the device turns that setting back on. After a few tries, it just worked. Recommend using Xposed module. I wish audio quality could be a little better, but probably Bluetooth limitation.
Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. When I first start it it will work and I get sound. If the stereo gets turned off and back on I get no sound. I see the BT connects but no sound. Then when it had to redirect it got stuck repeating the same instruction over and over until I rebooted my phone. I am a delivery driver and my stereo (Alpine cde-125bt) only supports bluetooth phone functions so this was just what I was looking for. Now if I could just get it working correctly. My phone is an LG G Pro E980 and I will try installing "Enhanced TTS" and see if this helps. The phone is rooted and using Carbon Rom 5.1.1 from XDA Developers.
Been looking for sometime to enable my car audio system to read out text messages. At last, found this app which works well. Set up was easy but the "ladies" voice is slightly irritating, but it can be lived with especially as I can now listen to sms. I have Samsung Galaxy A5 phone
Switches to phone bluetooth for all navigation sounds and commands! No more missed turns!Xposed is an absolute must if you don't want it clipping at start!
I've tried other BT audio interceptors, but none have worked. I bought the Plus version. I have a 2010 Infiniti G37 xS. The developer seems genuinely interested in making this a great app.
One big problem: if I get a phone call while the AudioBT service is on, the (call) sound can only be heard on the phone's internal speaker although the dialler screen shows that I'm connected through Bluetooth. I would need to toggle the call output (Bluetooth button) in order to "force" the sound to be rerouted through the car's audio system. On another occasion I've had the same problem with voice navigation being rerouted through the phone internal speaker AFTER a call.
Works great for me! '12 Hyundai, Nexus 6, 6.0 marshmallow, rooted, Xposed
Update for 6.0 xposed
Worth the money and customer service is very fast and caring.
Cuts off first part of direction notification which basically makes it useless. There is a work around but to use it you have to root your phone which breaks the warranty on my phone. I would like my money back.

Tried the free version as a bridge for my car head unit and fone, was very hit and miss, kept disconnecting, so thought I'd try the paid version, see if it was any better-it wasn't! Still keeps disconnecting, cuts the first couple of seconds off the beginning of spoken text, no audio delay unless you root-wtf?!!
Worth its weight in gold
this is the only apps that able to do what it says. to listen to navigation app on mono headphone. but, i already purchased the plus version. yet, i cant seems to install it. im using samsung galaxy note 3 neo. help. i need this app.
Brilliant, works very well. I use with S4 Active, Lollipop 5.0.1, and the service works great for Google Maps, OSMAnd+ etc especially together with Enhanced TTS - great for BT equipped car radio (MEX-BT5000) and motorcycle BT intercom (F5MC) etc. Of course to allow high quality music playing I must stop the service, which I can do by touching the notification, and then announcements will revert to the media channel too, but to restart the service (e.g. when I want to listen to car radio but still have announcements interrupt it as voice call) then I need to invoke the app. Not much of a chore, but a widget would make it more intuitive to see and change the service status - would be worth the fifth star....
Well worth the price. ...just wish it could add a delay to Waze's audio.
Allows you to send turn by turn directions from Waze or Google Maps to your car speakers while playing the car's stereo. I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't miss the first word or two. Sony car receiver with Sony App installed and Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Instructions in app needs to be clearer as how to correctly set up with tts. WELL WORTH 2 $.
I used this app with the AudioBT service turned off and the AudioBT TTS selected. This way, my audio player on the phone still be played and controlled via AD2P from the car. The problem is that the navigation prompt from Google creates a double voice, speaks the entire route whenever the direction is rerouted, and repeats the directions. This is usually just annoying but can be dangerous as directions requiring immediate attention can be waiting in a very long queue before getting a chance to be spoken.
Does not work at all on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at all. It works when you do the sound test which I why I bought it but does not work with my Sygic GPS.
The best BT sound manager I've found, much simpler and way more stable than some of the more expensive alternatives. 5 stars now tasked intents are working 100%
Waze directions are cut off, can't hear the first second. I read that this can be improved using the app settings but... When I choose setting nothing happens or opens... No settings screen. Samsung galaxy s5 kitkat latest
It works, you just have to figure it out. In my case (Galaxy s3->2012 Equinox), I had to use the enhanced tts, set the delay to 2 secs, AND set the voice rate to very slow to avoid clipping the Google Maps audio at the beginning
I have been looking for this functionality ever since google released navigation thanks

It's astonishing nobody else reliably solved this huge usability issue. Yes BT Mono apps are there but they keep a call open forever. We need interrupts over FM/CD/DVD in our cars. Thank you so much for solving this.
