TunnelBear VPN

Tunnel bear is a great app, I read through some of the faqs and was able to troubleshoot it myself. Thank you to customer service for reaching out so quickly! (Even on a free account) This app helps me in the bitcoin market by allowing me to be (as far as my trading site knows) in Europe instead of the U.S. which the site doesn't allow anymore. Thanks guys I'll definitely be upgrading once my laptop arrives. 《《☆ UPDATE ☆》》 Here I am several months later still a big fan. Having some trouble accessing sites that are blocked however. Is there a way around that?

Needs more high speed servers in more locations and dedicated servers just for paying customers tbh Edit: Thanks to developers who replied. The servers which do exist are decent but only one US server for paid customers isn't enough and many are bogged down from overuse. Need more servers for sure guys. If you had a few more this would be worth paying for. Edit 2: Devs replied again. Awesome responsiveness. They say there is multiple US servers, I assumed there was only one due to the GUI only showing a single location on the application's interactive map. Advice: redesign the app to show exactly what location your users are connected to. If I'm connected to a server in California I want to know I'm in California without having to use a third party site or outside site to verify that.

Excellent VPN service. Connects quickly and even prompts for sign in on many public WiFis. Purchasing the yearly package works out to approximately 6.50 a month, which you likely spend at Tim Hortons or Starbucks in a day anyways. Allows you to connect to quite a few servers in various locations, encrypts your data and is chock full of pure bred, friendly and helpful bears.

Why does this only have 4.4? I seriously have tried almost every VPN on my galaxy S 8 plus and iPhone. All of them slow the web down to the point of no speed and being unusable. But this one is so FAST. I double check to be sure I am actually connected haha. I give this more than 5 stars.

This is has gotta be one of the CUTEST vpns I have ever seen / tried, lol. Just had to compliment you on that. Unfortunately, it does not work for what I'd wanted it to (*cough* a certain "proxy-blocking" video service). If that ever gets fixed tho, I'd definitely consider a full subscription. ^-^

The app couldn't find a VPN going on the majority of times I tired this. Their trouble shooting recommendations would work on one occasion, but then no luck the next time. Uninstalled

Dont waste your time. 11 days with no response to an issue with a problem. I submitted a review with a concern about not being able to send texts. I was directed to the website to get help. No response at all.

Worked absolutely fine, allowed me to access all my films and tv i wanted to watch whilst i was in the Us. Could not have wanted anything more. This was the 3rd time i had purchased a months worth of data allowance ovet the past 3 years. Would recommend without hesitation

This VPN service is great for everyday use and provides a somewhat stable 5-10mb/s connection. I have tested several times almost always maintaining 5 download and upload speeds (just now I tested at 162ms ping, 8.79 download, 6.03 upload). This may not be ideal for gamers, but perfect for everyday use. VPN can easily be disabled for games (this is discussed later) with Split Bear, so there are ways to make this VPN work for you either way. I highly recommend enabling "persistent bear" which disables your connection if your secure connection is lost. By default this is disabled which I almost removed a star for (there should be something warning the user about this). I love the Split Bear feature as well. Split Bear will allow me to allow VPN except for some apps. For example, I can keep VPN enabled for all my apps to securely send data while disabling VPN over Netflix since Netflix detects tunnelbear and will block you until disabled. This allows me to message securely while still enjoy Netflix. I also have VPN disabled through Split Bear for some games which block VPN services. I really love this feature as it prevents me from having to constantly disable/enable the VPN when using certain apps. There really isn't too much downtime for maintenance, and the connection is fairly stable now. Hopefully this service stays this way. I had some connection issues in the past but lately it had been great. Customer service is also very responsive through both email (via website) and their fb.

You can safely ignore the one star reviews, who dont seem to know what they're talking about. I came to Tunnelbear from Cyberghost as they were the only VPN able to (most of the time) establish a VPN in Egypt. Signed up for one year and hoping for the best when in Egypt.

An absolutely fantastic VPN for my PC, & Phone. The options that you get to use for different circumstances (like lightweight extensions for your browser & Ghost Bear) is probably the most useful tool available for me. I do wish the monthly subscription payment wasn't quite so expensive. Both software & service are great. So I don't mind a fee. But $10 a month is a little too much. Overall though, Tunnel Bear is the best VPN program I've used to date.

It great if you want to make private online searching. It was really useful that it allowed me 500 mb and if you want more data then you have to tweet it for 1000 mb. Great vpn but its membership only.

HideMyAss was no longer able to support my needs and looking for another solution TunnelBear has come to my rescue and I'm loving the price, I just wish there was more pricing options (ie. Quarterly payments instead of restricted to annual)

Serious security issues. I had money stolen from my account after using tunnel bear. So much for browsing privacy and safety from fraudsters... Not at all impressed.

The VPN does what it says on the box, but I can't see myself purchasing the service as the latency drops to over 500ms from 6ms and download speed drops from 80Mbps to less than 4Mbps

I absloutley love this VPN! it really helped me change my region and download apps that aren't available in my country securely , would 100% recommend it

Super fast and reliable! I don't mind the limited data since it gets the job done, but if I do need more I definitely won't hesitate to pay.

If you're looking for a VPN for China don't bother with TunnelBear. The service is full of gimmicks and is let down by the fact that most servers are blocked (GhostBear doesn't make a difference either) making it useless.

I was living in Panama and could not get on so many sites. And couldn't use Netflix until Tunnel bear. It works great in all Central America

Note to the app developer. If you are allowing payment through Google play, please insure that it actually works. I spent almost 4 days playing email tag with the support department to get my service. Thank you to the guy who gave me a grace period while they are spending another 24 hours waiting to check my forwarded email of my Google play receipt. Netflix and my cable provider streaming services do not work but going through individual networks has been fine. I hope my experience improves. ---------------- I've been using it for almost a year and it's a good VPN. Easy to use. I wish connections were quicker but it does the job.

Human Test? I dont get it after it show me "Human Test" pop up and it directed me to white blank screen with zoom in and out option in low right side of screen and i cant connect now for 2nd time, the 1st time was very good experience with normal fast speed it was when browsing but this Human Test pop up won't let me connect VPN for the 2nd time :( *Edit : Uninstalling the app and installing it again solved the problem, but its still laggy when i started the app with my Redmi 3. So far its good experience :D

THIS IS THE BEST VPN APP EVER! I LIKE THE FREE MBs THAT COME WITH SHARING THE APP WITH FRIENDS. ALSO, IT HELPS IN CASES WHERE THERE IS AN INTERNET SHUTDOWN BY THE GOVERNMENT..

Useless. Only works on an already secure WiFi, never on public WiFi (eg train, shopping mall, etc). So don't see the point of having it!

TunnelBear is great, I use it on three devices. It is easy to understand and to use. I have not noticed slowing down, so I am a happy customer.

Absolutely fantastic app that does everything it says it will do would totally recommend to anyone who's not completely familiar with vpns with still wants the security and safety they provide

The Human Verification only shows a blank page, please help! I reinstalled it as well but it still shows a blank page, with nothing to to exept zoom in and out

Very good VPN. Using on multiple devices. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the fast battery drain.

Useable with a pro-proxy. But not really useable for (maybe) it cannot get servers then.

There's no better feeling than browsing completely incognito with no ad trackers. I'm glad Linus introduced me to this.

It is boring not sending me a bear but I have given my email and password.

It's does what it supposed to do it's simple to do and prices aren't super crazy they also give a free version to get extra data and there is a way to do it on PC. Great app 10/10

Pretty good vpn i like the quirky interface its a shame u can only pick your server by country and not an actual city but all on all i like it

I had first heard about TunnelBear while watching Linus Tech Tips. It's an amazing app and I'm glad to say that it works well across all of my devices. Even the free version is plenty of data for somebody like me and I'll definitely recommend it to my friends

I tried to download HBO go but still got "not available in your country". I tried to ghost too :'( The response was excellent, so I increased the rating.

My favorite vpn, also use it on pc. I only used vpn to download regional blocked staffs, so monthly free data is more than enough. Thanks to all the bears. Rawrrr!!!!

After connect vp Decrease 8mb to 2mb i am shocked ! even tried different servers.
