Tumblr for Android
OK, so I love this app! One thing I have to say is that this is the home of the Once-ler askblogs, and we need more stuff like this in our lives. In a history book! Okay, getting a little too carried away. App works well, runs well, no viruses, everything is GREAT.
I am using this app as a blog for my writing which is great as the use of the hashtag, allows me to spread my writing further than other blog sites would let me. It's very accessible and easy to use but does allow for more technical individuals to play around with the html coding. The only two issues I do have is that it's difficult to put lines breaks in my writing. The line breaks appear on desktop but not on mobile. It would be good if this could be fixed. Also, I worked hard on making my desktop blog look good so it would be great if the same theme can be shown on mobile. Otherwise it messes up the overall appearance. Thanks for creating such a good app though!
Easy navigation bumped this one star to a two star. When I go to edit a post, why does it always revert to HTML format? I do know how to use HTML, but I don't necessarily want to break out my HTML codes every single time. If I make a post in Plain Text, I want to keep it that way! My top tags are tags I don't use anymore. I'm bewildered about why the asks are in settings. Editing a post is annoying because you either remove a format (no matter what you do) or you have to do everything in HTML. I go back and edit my post, and suddenly I cannot even use Plain Text format when I used it in the first place.Sometimes, I can't even edit my tags. What is wrong with this app?
Writing poetry on Tumblr sucks. It would be great if you could edit the html, at least for text posts. Or: When pressing enter, it would be great if it would just line return instead of creating a new text block. The issue is mostly with the text separation. It makes poetry in mobile look weird. Otherwise, the app is great; it's Tumblr; it's anything you want it to be.
Literally can't believe how awful this app is. Can't find tumblrs that are easily found on Google. Things disappearing from my feed. People I'm following suddenly not in my following list. Blocking my videos but allowing porn all over the place.
Not only do the buttons on the bottom of the screen cause complications with android users there are videos shared from other apps like Instagram and vine that just don't load. These are major problems but I will be VERY suprised to even see you guys acknowlage these problems let alone fix them.
It's good overall. Wish you would make a button where I can click and get back to the beginning of my blog, the first thing I ever posted so I can organize my blog. It's killing me with my OCD not to be able to do that
Very effective for students. I am a language learner. I find lot's of articles here. I think every student must use this site for their academic purposes. This is not a social media but more useful than a social media. The design is more simple thn Google's blogger.
Used to be cool. Now crashes constantly. Can't access support. No contact us option. Locks your account talking security but won't send password reset. Won't allow password reset inside app. Just all round rubbish. Shame on them just worried about pushing paid content and screw everyone who supported the platform
The app is awesome! Its display is good, a lot of things! The only complaint I have is about the notifications display. When it shows as a group on your notifs and you click it, it won't go so you have to open up the app yourself.
While viewing posts, it regularly "backs up" about 10-15 posts and forces me to re-view the posts. Very aggravating. Staff suggestions to fix did not work. Also, now sounds play on the ads, st the highest volume possible. No where to turn off, and when searching for the how to turn off sound in ads, it says no results. Really? Am I the only one who hates this?
Its really easy to handle and you can browse for hours. sadly it crashes often:( Sometimes it crashes when I reach something and then always there. Don't know what to do :(
New update is garbage. Constantly tells me my internet is out. If my Netflix doesn't freeze I think my S7 can load some gifs and images. Constantly tells me I have a notification I can't clear. Insane load times after a random amount of posts. It also loop the same posts over and over. I have tons of likes I can't unlike because there's no icon to unlike it. Tumblr always needed some fixes and this last update just made things way worse.
Bruh, your app isnt working at all. Like, I cant even click or see anything at all. I just get "It did not work" or "Something went wrong. Unclear what. Try again?" popping up when I click anything. Please fix itt. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked for a coupl days but now it's doing the same thing again. :/
I like this app alot, my husband does as well. However, I worry about privacy. I like this app for more private types of blogs. Not ur typical facebook sharing, i.e., showing cute pics, commenting on someone's mood or new car. So I am hopeful
I used to love this app. Now, I can't post anything at all saying that I have slow connection even though my internet connection is fine. I can't load any pictures, it justs shows blank at my dash. I can't even edit my bloody profile! The desktop dash will tell to download the app coz it's faster; a huge lie. Take it from me, it's much MUCH faster in the desktop dash. Please fix this...
One thing that really bothered me is that I am unable to attach photos when answering the questions in the ask blog. I am able to do it on the laptop, but not on the phone.
Can't view my own likes and posts. Porn and inappropriate accounts are always following my blog. I have to keep blocking them every single time and there are still more and more accounts. Tumblr supposed to have the filter thingy but why can't you filter this kind of thing??? Stupid recommendations every single time and also annoying ads and such. Stop being disgusting and do your work. Timeline always lag and I can't see any photos on my timeline
So the app still crashes when it's overloaded with gifs. And the "data saving option" doesn't work. I have it on, but the gifs play whether on wifi or data. That needs to be fixed. Plus, add the option for all gifs to be inactive until tapped on wifi and data. That'd be great.
How do I put my posts on Safe Mode for my side blog? I was able to do that for my side blog, but now I can only do that for my main blog Edit: The notification feature is dumb (the new one, where I automatically follow a post after replying to it). I don't care what other people say on that one post of my cuddly OTP or on my anti NOTP rant ????
It's great to republish with just a click and hold. But other then that it's not impressive. Constantly crashing, way to many ads, and it bugs out too often.
pretty sweet!!
I never knew i can earn money just by VISITING Advertisements!! ToyoCash is a legit app that allows to earning point just by doing some simple tasks (like instaling, watch advertisements and so on). Then you can exchange your points for Digital Giftz Cardz,PayPal,Paytn and there're various options to choose from. ToyoCash is perfect for anyone in anywhere, who has free time but doesn't want to waste it, you can use this app while working, studying.. simply earning points by watching advertisements!!!
Really liked this app on my old phone with android os 5, on oreo i have lost a lot of what i liked about it. I can't separate my direct message notifications from notifications when someone i am following posts something or likes something i posted, so i get sounds for all of them. On the note of sounds i no longer get the tumblr bleeps when i receive a direct message that used to tell me it was a tumblr message and not an sms.
I love Tumblr, ok. But the promise of the app being faster than the mobile ver is not true. It's always loading slowly and you never really get the full fun of the site. If only they can improve the app to be atleast bearable for countries with slow internet, then this would be a good app. Otherwise, please don't pose false promises.
Tumblr seems to think they have a captive audience. Nowhere does their appear to be a way to log out once you sign on to the darn thing. And don't lend your phone to somebody else because when they login you can't lig them out either. One wish? Make the mobile app with the same easy to use functionality as the desktop version. Or at least allow my smartphone to use the same browser capabilities as the desktop browser.
It's very addicting, but I've made so many new friends through it. The only annoying thing I've found is that I can't find my old posts. I have to scroll down through hundreds of posts. Although desktop version is much easier to use and doesn't lag as much. My URL is swiftly-michelle, feel free to follow me ????
Last update and this app wouldn't load any new pictures. Now after this update, I open the app and it won't load anything. I cant even view my own profile. Youtube works fine so its not an issue with my smartphone signal. Cant really give something with currently zero functionality anything more than 1 star out of 5.
In love with this app! I dont usually (a.k.a: ever.) give reviews for any of the apps I use, but Tumblr is an exception! Out of all the social media apps I use, this is definitely the most relatable and least toxic one! Rhe community is, for the most part, great. It's an optimal chance to make friends! Download now.
I've been a dedicated Tumblr user since 2013. It has literally everything- gif.s, photos, and sound files from all your favorite shows, music, video games, comics, anime, all kinds of dank memes, fashion, and even just aesthetic photos.. And so much more I can't even name it all. It's a nerd/hipster/gamer/literature hub for sure.
This is a great app! But there is one thing that's bugging me: you can't turn your secondary blog into your primary blog. That could be very useful, so I would appreciate it a lot if that would be possible. If you could do this, then I would be willing to give this 5 stars.
I just love that you find so many aesthetically good looking pictures from this site compared to any other social media platform. Tumblr has got class. I love using its very pleasing to see the kind of stuff this platform offers. Only hassle I find is one has to edit the code of their blog which is a time consuming process and pictures take slow to load on phones but all in all I like to use this app
This app has been good to me for so long, but for the past few days, no posts with photos (and I mean NONE) are showing up on my dashboard, or even on my own profile(s). This is a serious issue for me, and it may be because of the recent update. I checked my phone storage, and I have plenty of space. If this is a bug issue, PLEASE hurry and get rid of it. I've been forced to keep my profile logged off my mobile phone until then...
I'm demoting my previous 4 star review to 3. It's been years I've had this app with little to no substantial deeply needed change to come of it. I absolutely love Tumblr as a whole but this app has no excuse to continue it's poor quality. Make it more user friendly for posts and reply functionality. On a personal note the app just constantly says I have a notification when I do not and it's incredibly annoying. Do better guys, I know you can.
After the most recent update to the app, pictures take a long time to load. Videos never ever load at all and it just feels so frustrating to use the app. Updates are supposed to improve an app, not make the user experience even worse. Hoping that there will be new improvements soon..
I am EXTREMELY ANNOYED right now because I constantly get a notification saying "Unfortunately, Tumblr has stopped." Followed by the app closing. It keeps happening when more than 3 gifs are playing at the same time. Even if I have data saving mode on, there are gifs that are already playing, without me clicking on them, when they aren't supposed to be. Frustrating. ????
Ok. editing this because previous was trash. This is a wonderful app that allows you to meet so many great people! It's also a source for a good laugh or two. Easy to set up and easy to use. I'd definitely recommend the Tumblr app. 10/10
Tumblr is a fantastic place to self-express or find inspiration. This Tumblr app makes it all the better--easy to use, clear. The design, layouts and formats are perfect. I haven't had any problems with this app whatsoever and I've had it for the past few years.
I really like tumblr because it has good blogs to follow especially anime, video games, food, travel, etc. This app is different, unique, fresh, lively, and easy to use interface. I feel like it is underrated and it should deserve much love and attention. Many people are missing out on this one. I called this the hidden gem.

When the app works, it's great! However, just like the desktop site, it's full of bugs that never quite get fixed and if they do, a new set of bugs are there to replace it almost instantly. Recently the app has been refusing to load posts.
