NJ 101.5 - Proud to be New Jersey (WKXW)

I got this app since they stopped the text alerts for traffic. The new alerts only vibrate, which is only half-useful. Other apps are able to trigger an audible notification so there's no reason this app can't. I'll like the app more if this feature was implemented. I also suggested this via the app but never received a response. [Update: latest version now displays an obnoxious ad that prevents closing the app. You have to close the ad first before you can exit the app. Not sure if this is the ad network or poor app coding. Either way, it's annoying.]

Too many ads hang up the few stories that even open. Most stories don't open. Open traffic alert notifications and they aren't there, but the note to download the app is..so that's useless. Is there a separate traffic app? Not worth the time.

2 stars off because I can't turn off vibrate notifications and notifications arrive twice.

Way too many ads! Select articles work which forces you to go to the website if you want to read the article. The alerts for news and traffic are good but the constant ads when you open the app, open the article, or scroll down in the article make it super annoying. Reduce ads and it'll be better.

I love the talk shows, but it's 3 minutes of the show, then15 Minutes of ads. Just as bad as it is on the radio. Try it.... guarantee you'll only hear ads. Uninstalled

Very satisfied great new update running good

Very intrusive app. Keeps reminding me to accept location services so they can send me notifications. Kills my battery so must be in all my files. I install, listen and then uninstall every time I use this app.

Constant alerts for traffic that is nowhere near me. It doesn't update traffic posts in the afternoon. A better app is Google Maps for real time traffic.

Obnoxious station commercials

Now Playing type notification keeps reappearing in Oreo.

V1.2.6 on all my andriod devices. When app first opens, every 4th news link between ads does not work. If you click the "Get all News Link" all news links work between ads. Other than that annoyance, the app is fantastic.

Please stop the alerts the only one I have on is weather and still I get traffic and in multiples of 3

App has a force ad that runs the same two ads that would NEVER apply to me. Daily start up is start audio, set phone down, wait for ad to finish, then return. I'm not selling a house in CNJ and as a 43yo widowed man, I'm not seeing IVF in my future. Do you know your demo at all?

Good updates on local news.

All of the sudden I can't check the weather map keeps returning a forbidden page error or some kind of stupid error that I can't view this page its forbidden on this server, what the heck does that mean Tried to send the feedback and that was returned twice as undeliverable 2017 its a New Year and im sick of these kind of apps, going to uninstall it and all apps like them that don't work.

Selection of stories skips certain ones now. Can only read Headline, never did this until update demand. AP works good

Good app but a lot of ads

The pop up ads were bad enough, the 30 second video your forced to watch is awful. If the app worked right it wouldn't be that bad. Cuts out periodically, especially bad when on wifi.

Must have, for traffic alerts, weather alerts, and what's going on in general. Not afraid to speak their mind on anything. Refreshing to hear people speaking the truth.

Very well thought out app. Really helpful when I leave my car and want to continue listening. Streaming has worked perfectly. Contact tools make it simple to tweet or reach out on Facebook or by email. News feed is relevant, and timely traffic updates are a gift to commuters.

Went to a link from their app saying I won an I Phone 7. Should have known better. Now I'm getting pestered by telemarketers on my cell and no free I Phone. They should be ashamed of themselves for letting this crap on their app

Ok. Background streaming working again. Updating rating. Like the alerts for news and traffic. Don't like the same long video ad every time player starts.

You can't read a paragraph without an ad popping up. This ain't a news app tactic, it's worse than porn

Buggy when closing the radio. When closed, it activates all other media players on the device.

App is plain looking and bland.

There should be a exit button, quite a few other streaming apps allow you exit the program.. Not this app. We shouldn't have to go to the task manager to close a app.

Now i can listen to Dennis & Judy anywhere i go!

This app work very well up until this latest update. Now, every time I launch the app and start to stream NJ101.5, after about 30 seconds, the stream stops and the app locks up. I thought it may have been a bad update so I uninstalled/reinstalled and it did not fix the issue. I even went as far as factory resetting my Galaxy S6 and that still did not resolve the issue. Please fix this issue as soon as possible. I need my Bill Spadea and D&D back.

Please add a setting to start streaming immediately upon starting the app. Radio pup has this functionality. At least start the stream when selecting listen live. To have to then press another play icon is klunky.

Thank you sooo much for attaching a widget! It was really frustrating to go back and forth just to pause the shows.

Sign up for the traffic update alerts and view them in this app. Makes driving in NJ a bit less frustrating

I downloaded this app because I like the station. I like being able to easily listen to my favorite talk show. Unfortunately it has many push notifications that you cannot turn off. So I need to disable it constantly and turn it back on when I want to use it. Please fix this! I wish there was a way to "quit" and turn off push notifications. Please fix this!

Constantly cuts out, have to force stop the app all the time. Considering Townsquare is supposed to be a media company they create a pretty lame app.

Traffic alerts should be by your location, they give you traffic reports for 100 miles away!
