No way to view chart layers. After signing in and downloading ac data, I spent a half hour trying to get activecaptian data to show up. No go. Useless.

No matter what I provide for a user name I cannot establish an AIS login. The app tells me that my username must be unique. I've tried everything that I can think of to establish this login. It looks interesting, but I can't get it to work.

AIS data stopped working a while ago, but at least I still had Active Captain. Then I got a new phone and now Active Captain doesn't work either... This use to be the best free Active Captain app on Android.

Slowwwww to open, always opens on a zoom of Africa plus no tap to find location, so you have to zoom out to find your continent, then zoom in to find your location. It does show great resolution on maps, but so does Google Earth, etc. My biggest complaint: I only need it to access Active Captain info and reviews. I am in the Florida Keys ,where there are hundreds of AC markers and probably 1000s of AC reviews. On Smart Chart I only show TWO. PLUS WITH AC, I could view it all offline. With Smart Chart all searches have to be done using valuable data. Not good.

I've tried figuring this app out a few times. The options seem to let me chose between satellite, topography, or a generic base map. No idea how to add base map options, no idea how to get any of the active captain info to appear. Frankly, I can't get this thing to do anything other that what Google earth already does only better. There are virtually no hints, FAQ, or tutorials anywhere to be found explaining anything. I think Ill keep my Navigator Plus app and just live without the AIS or active captain

USED THIS APP TO SAIL DOWN THE WEST COAST OF FLORIDA CHECKED IT AGAINST MY PAPER CHARTS AND IT WAS SPOT ON SHOWED MORE DEPTH AND DETAILS. THANKS

Surprised this isn't showing AIS vessels that are on Marine Traffic app. Also everytime map zoomed the Active Captain markers appear even though turned off. Would love to hear from vendor to be sure I'm using it properly.

Motorola RAZR Maxx Connor login even after I have requested a password reset. Same thing on my Nexus 10 tablet. The software is not real intuitive hence my comments above. It could be much,much more. Too bad.

Displays my location on a chart -- at least it got that part right. I see nothing else -- no AIS targets (even though Marine Traffic shows several near me) and no Active Captain markers (again, several nearby). No in-app help so no way to know what to press to even try to fix this (but I've tried every button). Tutorial on web site is apparently for a different version so was no help. I've completed full registration for myself and my vessel on the web site. Still no results. Will be uninstalling this shortly and deleting my account. Not ready for prime time.
