Cannot access University account. The very basic function of the app.

I have a handshake account through my university, but this app only allows me to sign up through linkedin or xing. In other words, this app is useless to students.

Why can't I sign in with a university account?

Login with a university ID isn't supported. Not sure if I'm more disappointed in the app or my school for even choosing to use the platform.
