PuenKru เกิดจากความร่วมมือระหว่าง คุรุสภา และ บริษัท ทรูคอร์ปอเรชั่นจำกัด มหาชน ร่วมกันพัฒนาแอพพลิเคชั่นสังคมออนไลน์ระดับประเทศสำหรับครูหรือบุคลากรทางการศึกษาที่เป็นสมาชิกของคุรุสภาและผู้มีใบประกอบวิชาชีพ โดยมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อใช้เป็นเครื่องมือในการสื่อสารแนวใหม่ไปยังสมาชิกในกลุ่มการศึกษาด้วยกัน ประกอบไปด้วย การสนทนากับสมาชิกภายในกลุ่มของคุรุสภา การแชร์ภาพ วีดีโอที่ประทับใจ รับชมรายการทีวี และฟังเพลงที่ชื่นชอบ อีกทั้งยังเป็นแหล่งความรู้และช่องทางการรับข่าวสารจากคุรุสภา เช่นการประกาศกิจกรรม การแจ้งสอบวิทยฐานะ การเลื่อนตำแหน่ง การแนะนำเทคนิคการเรียนการสอนต่างๆเป็นต้น
