Guggenheim for Android
After downloading 100+ Meg for this app it kept crashing on my nexus 10. Not EVERYONE has iphones you know. Waste of time
Crashes whenever an exhibition is clicked. Who in their right mind OK'd this?
Just a hunk of crap
Stuck at sponsorship page
tried to buy a dual membership for a year and it did not work, but they charged my 125 $ twice. now i am trying to get my money back, will take me so much additional time.
Love the museum although only in person with my husband on our anniversary visited once
Once the app installed, I attempted to open it. Only too did out, a massive update was required. This should have been performed, during the initial installation.
Requires hundreds of MB of downloads after installing. Then errors.
It installed fine on a Samsung note 3 and it seems a fine app. But it's for Guggenheim New York .
App won't run on a Nexus 5.
Disappointed immediately for having an additional download and even more so that I can't find upcoming events. It was the whole reason for downloading this app, so I can better plan my trips home. I won't make it to the current events, but would love to know what will be happening a month from now. Am I missing something? ?
Crashes
Crashed and huge download > 100mb required after installation.
Very large DL
Had to download additional 150MB across 3-4 updates before I could use the app. Map view is nice but needs to be viewable in landscape mode.

Nothing to open to.
It won't even download on mine, keeps on coming up with an error code. Sony expera z1 user
Would like to know how a major museum sponsored by a major corporate business cannot have a stable app? It's downloads and I can access the menus but it always force quits after a selection. Epic fail and hope it will improve.
After more than 12 attempts to install it I gave up. Every attempt on android platform failed. Shameful!

Crashes
App never connected. Could not find server? Still an incredible place. Glad we finally made it.
Don't waste your time or data plan. It crashes. The museum is cool. The app is not.
The museum's ticket taker gave me a clue that this app has issues. It required NUMEROUS updates, and I had just downloaded it. I'm looking at the art and trying to manage all of the downloads, made more difficult by the spotty connection at the museum. Once it was finally ready I was nearly done with the art...and my battery was pretty much dead. I don't understand why the original download needed so much updating. The little that I DID use the app, I was impressed.
Crashes every time I try to open it.nexus 5 user !
Too big, causes slow download at the museum
As others have noted, the add-on downloads required by the app are pretty huge, but they're the maps, exhibition-specific guides, audio commentary and so on that need to change over time. (There is also a "manage my guides" option that's very transparent about what the content is and lets you delete whatever you want.) All in all it's really very slick and comprehensive; works nicely on my Moto x and added some value for our visit. That said... I'm still knocking off a star because the app isn't compatible with my wife's Nexus 7. Really?? Just like that other guy's Galaxy tab. Oh well.
As others have mentioned, there are 2 mandatory updates to download before one can access the material. But the guide includes in-depth infornation about all tge current exhibits.
In 90 min this app consumed over 30% of my battery and I couldn't use it once. Use the free device you may check out
The app is very rich in multimedia content. Its quite a large download, so be sure to download over a wi-fi connection for best results. The map function doesn't work correctly (using a Nexus 5 Google android here). The permanent collection requires a separate download. Compared to other museum apps, its available for both Android and iPhone, which is a plus. They may have been better served if they created a non-native web based app solution, but still the Guggenheim was long over due for a mobile app.
Required downloads for the app: about five. Size of each download: 50 to 80 mb. I am currently completing the download process. I'm hoping this app wows me, but if you are not excited about a huge number of downloads, this is not the app for you. Kind of wacky that it does this.
I could have seen the entire museum collection on foot in the time it takes this app to load. Uninstall...
Having got back to the hotel the download has finished. So much promise that fails to deliver.
It's absurd how many additional downloads this app demands once you install it. I'm not even going to finish the installation.
Needs another file to download. Too big and does not work.
It's not possible to install this app in a new Samsung tablet gallaxy tab2. Incredíble.
Stinks. Takes forever, gives no info on the exhibits, then stops working
