Not enough science and space news. GREATLY favors one sided Republican articles and allows opinion and fake news such as Glen Beck and Shawn Hannity. Talk shows are NOT news, they are opinions and blatently lie for ratings. I wanted a NEWS app, not an opinion app.

First time I used it it was great and then I tried to use it again and it keeps saying cannot locate server even though I had a great connection. I tried it on Wi-Fi and LTE so I'm not sure if it'll work again

I love using this app to hear some of the day's news stories during my commute. Unfortunately, the app consistently crashes after listening to several stories and after pressing 'pause' and swiping to the next story. Also, the app seems to be working extra hard and tends to heat up my phone at a concerning rate. If these issues were repaired and addressed with an update, I'd give Newsbeat 5 stars all day.

Still crashing frequently. After crashes, goes back to beginning of playlist rather than where it stopped. I have the paid version and I can't even use it. I have cancelled my subscription.

Compared to streaming music how much data dies recorded voice need? I literally listen for 30 min intervals on morning commutes and each time has been over a gb

Doesn't have Fox or Drudge which are the 2 I like to read. Deleting app

Phone permission? Sign up? So annoying.

I have now reviewed this app three times, my last update was April 2016. At that time, the app was unusable due to crashes and stories failing to load. Haven't used it since then, thought I'd give the app another try today (9/1/16). Still gets through maybe two stories at most before the app just closes itself with no warnings or error messages. Just stops. Find a different app, these developers have no clue what they are doing.

Inexcusable data hog. You need to figure out what is going on or make a "wifi only" setting. This app wasted 4 GB in less than 45 minutes of total listening.

Great app, similar to defunct Umano. I wish I could make my own Playlist and save the articles that I like. That would be a 5star app.

I was hoping this app would be politically neutral, however it appears the editors based on their writings are significantly left of center. If I wanted to hear right or left wing news, I have plenty of better choices for either. I am disappointed they do not just report the news. Last, the limited number of free articles is an annoying.

I don't mind ads to help support this app and it's live narrations but the advertising model is offensive. Links to the play store are automatically opened without user interaction. Websites containing malware are also automatically opened. According to their app even subscribing for $20/yr will not stop those type of ads. Truly offensive.

This was one of my favorite apps. But recently it is launching the play store as well as redirecting to malware sites. Also it is using an outrageous amount of data. Uninstalling until the developer provides assurances these items have been addressed. What a shame.

Randomly skips news stories after reading only the title, opens ads to the play store and malware without user interaction, sometimes will only play one or two stories before the "end of playlist". Uninstalling.

One of the recent updates has Newsbeat auto launch your Play Store and go to one of their affiliates like Uber. Annoying, but I can close it. But recently it tried to auto launch into an infected market link which was malware-ridden. Uninstalling and never using it again.

I've got some serious concerns about your app. It seems like everytime I open the app the first story starts and then it's cut short because it has to push the local weather through. often times it will cut other stories short because it starts a new story. I've also noticed when you click an icon in the pop-up notification on your phone to choose the story often times it does not go to that story.  I hate to say it but your app needs an awful lot of work. Has this stuff ever been addressed before?

Update 4-6-16 - Somehow, in the last two years this app has gotten worse. Unusable due to issues loading stories, crashing randomly, etc. Pretty sweet idea, but here are my suggestions: -I've gotten a lot of "repeat" stories. Eliminate those. -After typing in about 50 interests in "My Topics", I have yet to hear a story for almost all of them; I only seem to get news from "My Sections" -Allow skipping stories via bluetooth, just like I'd do with spotify or pandora. I don't want to have to get my phone out or open the app while I'm driving. -The traffic updates are pretty useless -My twitter feed is chock full of articles that I would LOVE for newsbeat to read for me. Is there any way newsbeat could scan my twitter for articles and add those to my article queue?

Great app and great customer service. An issue was fixed immediately after being brought to the developer's attention.

Really buggy! Can't get it to run smooth

Really needs a pull to refresh option for whenever the information in the app is outdated. Also, would be nice to have Sections so you can hear just the news of a certain section that you may want.

Came to use this as the alternative to the closed umano app. Not as good as that one but best I could find as an alternative.

The app doesn't read the full article. It reads half. That's not what I wanted lol

Breeze over it quick & pass or hit the whole content hard. Either read it or let it read to me.

I'm liking this app more and more with each use. Use it on both Android and iOS devices.

Well it just continues to be annoyingly. Now its taken to playing LOTS of ads in spite of a paid subscription. DO NOT PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION. The ads play anyway. And the multiple lockups per day and other issues just dont get fixed.

Can't download articles. Article layout is difficult and can't view list of articles for easy choosing.
