PC Pilot Magazine for Android
I love reading the print versions of PC Pilot and recently had a look to see whether this app would be any good. When I first opened up the app it crashed but after that it worked rather smoothly. Once you've got past the stage of opening the app it doesn't seem to crash it's just when it's still loading it occasionally crashes. Overall this app is pretty good.
I thought I unsubscibed and then got charged $35. I tried to get a refund within 5 minutes of getting the receipt, but Google wouldn't give me back my money. It turns out that the unsubscribe process is very different from other magazines and more cumbersome. This is why they have their own app instead of using Newsstand. The app crashed as soon as I installed it and has only opened once for me on two different devices. Bug Fixes says that they fixed the crashing, but that's another lie.
I would really like to have my 6 bucks back please
Essential for the simmer and the only one that has free software and tips and tricks around. A+!
Magazine is great! But app won't load mag on android. Yet on my iPhone no troubles loading?
This is the second mobile Is have registered this app on and each time I have tried to link it to my original Tablet ap which works fine. Have never succeeded in reading my mags.
I little to heavy with fighter sim but still a good read.
I have bought numerous issues and downloaded fine, but I the latest issue (staggerwing front cover) cannot be bought, stating 'not found'. Frustrating, since the paper mag is hard to find in Australia.
this magazine is great for hints and tips it's fairly unbiased and tiptop advice on setup of the best and cheapest simulator experience... instant fun for both novice to the veteran simmers and real world pilots.
I came from the hardcopy magazine onto the digital edition, so had no preconceptions of free digital editions or the like. But, like many Android users, I root my device, and frequently change ROMs. Seems though that I have to redownload every issue each ROM change, despite backing content up before hand. That's not so good when there's a bunch of back issues I'd like to flick through! Additionally, and most annoyingly, the app crashes if I try to use the bookmark function, be it on my Tab 2 10.1 (rooted, various custom ROMS) or stock, OOTB unrooted Android on my Nexus 5. Such core, basic functionality like bookmarks not working puts a question mark over whether I'll renew my subscription, and really questions whether there is any testing regime if this crashes on vanilla 4.4 Android.

I don't understand some complaints that it isn't free as this app is made for people who subscribe to this magazine! If you go to the a newsstand you also give it one star because they didn't give you your magazine or newspaper for free? It's ridiculous. I can't buy the paper edition in my country so I am very happy that the digital version of PC Pilot is available now. Only thing i hope to see is a bit more interactive options like some other magazines do and the ability to download the CD or parts of it. I contacted them for that and have been told it should come in about a month so that would be around June-July. Other then that i love the magazine. Download should be a bit faster...
Now, any time anywhere I can access them! :) Gr8
I was deceived. It is not free and it has no free content other than a pretty front page picture and a short (incomplete) list of contents. Anything you want to read you have to purchase. I am not against purchasing apps. I have purchased many. I am against false advertising. If you want to sell it, say so and give a price upfront. Unistalled.
Free app but you have to buy back issues they have or subscribe to magazine ( which feels like 60% ads) Uninstalled
Does what it says on the tin.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 Works perfectly. Not sure why the previous reviews were so bad. Each e-mag is a clone of the paper version, the interface is smooth and sharp. App costs but you get 1 free edition. Since most of what comes on the disk can be downloaded, personally I think this is a great saving on the paper version. You DO NOT need to create an account via web browser, just register an account via the app its self. Nothing unusual there. Full access to back catalogue.
Great idea but so slow and doesn't zoom enough.
Needed to create an account via web browser before it would run. Shouldn't be so complicated
Simple will not run
Spent £3.99 on an issue and it says downloading complete but all I see is yellow blotches where the writing should be??? NOT impressed infact I feel robbed :-(

You have to buy each issue even though the download is free. Uninstalled
