They give me a basic ap that does not give full functionality and they want to charge more to give us the functionality. We paid enough for the camera to get a windows application that is flakes and a android app that is stripped of some of the functionality. Would not recommend this camera. Google for ip cameras and several come with higher reviews and better functionality.

This app and the cameras are useless. Sometimes used to work but rarely. Usually a big white x. Can't view the tv-ip551wi cams from any browser under Windows 10. IP camera viewers can no longer display a feed. I can log into the camera and view the admin screens... That's it. No longer a way to view the camera feeds. None. Great security trendnet! Since its java and ActiveX, both no longer supported most everywhere.

This works ok internally on my network, but I want to be able to access it when I am away from home. TRENTnet PLEASE add https login - I refuse to use it otherwise. Just not secure enough,. Also slightly disappointed you are asking me to pay for this app when I just paid £260 for 2 of your cameras. Surely this should come as part of the deal?

I am using this with a trendnet poe connected bullet outdoor camera. It works as it should. Connects from my phone, picture is clear at night picture is good. More lag than i would want but probably not an issue with the software.

It does attach to my cameras, but when opened, immediately locks up (Droid Turbo 2). Doesn't make a difference if on WiFi or cell network. Tried reinstalling several times, no good. I've used this app on other devices and loved it. Disappointed.

So not sure when this changed, if it was a recent update or something, but I was able to record video and now it says it's recording but doesn't save anywhere I can find. I usually just snap pictures that's why I can't place when this broke. Really disappointed.

Hands down the most poorly made app I have ever seen. This app crashes 80% of the time on startup and the one time I did manage to connect a camera it started to crash 100% of the time about 3 seconds after displaying the picture. Stay away form trendnet and their garbage.

Worked well on both my and my girlfriend's phones until a recent update. Still works for her (iPhone) and no longer works for me (Android). Just has a big white X on the screen. Does this whether I use the internal or external connection that we set up. Does not use HTTPS. Huge security flaw allows sending passwords in plain text. We used a generic dummy password for the device instead of our usual complex passwords to make sure no other accounts could become compromised.

This app is incredibly buggy it needs to be rebuilt. This app has made me want to return the cameras which are terrible compared to Lorex Ping. I would not recommend trendnet wifi cameras having owned many different brands. Trendnet makes good network hubs and that's it.

Downloaded the app on my Samsung note 3. I use app to check on my terrier at doggie daycare. The refresh rate is painfully slow. Not worthwhile because it is so slow. The staff says that it works much better on an apple product. Unfortunately I did not have good luck with this app.

Worked fine with my Note 4 but really glitchy on my new Moto Z Force. Didn't display video at all with the old OS. Phone upgraded to Android 7 today and video displays, but the camera controls disappear and then the app crashes. Come on TrendNet! :(

I used this app before on iOS and it worked flawlessly, since my switch to android this app has been terrible it constantly causes my phone to lock up and crash. I am using it on a one plus two phone

I have three trendnet ipcam in past 5 years, hardware okay, soft crappy....and finally you made some app connect easier, and you want a beer money for this? Check. Ip camera viewer, even the free version are much better than this. Will never buy your cams again.

Still an annoying on exit, as it recommends to update the camera (TV-IP302PI) to an older firmware than currently installed. Works for wired or wireless. Only downside is local record requires an unlock payment.

The box shows the camera we purchased as a baby monitor but this application does not allow for audio only streaming. TrendNET support claims this is to save battery, ignoring the fact that leaving the screen on drains the battery faster! Do not purchase a TrendNET camera to use as a baby monitor with this application.

I have been using this App for quite some time with my Trendnet IP Cameras. It works on all my Smartphones and even FireTV. However, I have an Android Tablet that I'd prefer to use a Wired Ethernet connection with, and the App does not work at all. It presents error upon startup: Check network connection. This is the only App I have that won't work over Wired Ethernet and I need it to! Trendnet PLEASE! I'll update my review with a 5-star rating if you enable Wired Ethernet!

Works relatively well but can't believe Trendnet still want to charge me for the full version app after I spend good money for their ipcam. Kinda ripoffs

This is very cool but I need to see if it still works outside my home wireless network. I will update later. It works but the IP camera must be programmed in your router firewall rules. What I quickly learned though is that my IP address changes every two three or four days. I had to purchase static IP address with my ISP CenturyLink which costs me extra money every month. If you don't purchase a static IP address you will have to change the address in your app every time it changes.

This app is/has been neglected from a dev standpoint... It locks up on the new marshmallow or wth it's called... And no body answers support requests. It keeps prompting to load an old version of fw.... and the newer IP view won't see one of my cameras

App will not accept my password or admin password or any password. My password works on the trendnet pc software for the camera so should work on the app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and no help.

All good until yesterday, my phone was upgraded from Android 5.0.1 to Android 6.0. I reinstalled it, still a big X as image. I will review the rating if a solution is provided.

Well I can sum this up. As a person that has spent thousands of dollars on trendnet product and a lot of that was there IP Cameras as well as a photo view that you can look at all your photos well it's hanging on the wall . You could also watch all your ip camera. Well trendnet discontinues products as fast as they have new ones come out. An before you know it your $500.00 ip camera don't work ur ip camera do work any more on your $300.00 photo view. Ip camera don't work on there free sucueview pro software. So it won't record any events. The new ip camera that do work on the sucueview software and record. The vidio format is not viewed in anything but there software so for get about giving the cops a avi file all u can view it as in the software as arced in its viewer. I have thousand of $ of junk they don't suport. I thought I'd try this app. But none work in it. Good look getting any help from suiting a suport ticket even for new crap. There was a time they were on the ball. An said they would never charge for suport As that was there selling point. All bs go with Drink at lest they suport all there models or they send you a replacement. .

Worst app I have ever used. Can't get it to work outside the house 99% of the time. Only works when connected to the home WiFi which makes it useless. I believe it is the trendnet cloud service that is the cause of this issue. Bad cloud service. I'll not recommended Trendnet camera to anyone. I got the Netgear Arlo and love it so much.

Four of the TV-IP651WI models hooked up, and had to have Tech svc work on my connectivity, but worked out good

This app does exactly what i s intended to do... Give you a live stream of your ip cams. It gives you a decent range of control and settings. The only thing missing is some preset buttons. That seems like an easy addition and would likely make this a goto app. It's important to note that streaming speed and picture quality have nothing to do with this app. That is entirely dependent on your actual camera and your own network. Also, proper port forwarding is crucial to view outside your network.

Always rejects known-good username and password combinations. Unstable garbage just like the browser plug-ins and so called pro viewing Windows software. A completely worthless IP camera product line.

I too can not get it to record to my Android. Everything else works. Snaphots work. Tech support said you can not record using this app,.

After att updated to marshmallow on lg g3 this app stopped displaying camera feeds. Cameras are online and still working on wife's iPhone.

I am liking it so far but I can't get the recording option to work so hopefully this can be figured out.

Great way to monitor camera but it keeps using data in the background unless closed. I only found out when upgrading to this version has caused me to go over my data allowance for 3 months running.

Last several reversions lockup and freeze on launch, nexus 6p but seems to be apparent in all marshmallow versions.

Don't pay for the upgrade - the video recording doesn't work and is about the only feature you pay for. I have been unable to get a refund too.

The camera quality is decent, but getting it to continuously show via my phone app is difficult. I have to frequently refresh, restart, or reboot the program to get it to work.

It is pretty easy to setup and use. I can check my pets and car port with a touch of a finger. ;-)

I've been doing cameras in Vegas since tube cameras and reel to reel tapes. Seen everything. Spent a few bucks to play with these Trendnet gadgets: 4xTV-IP551IW, and recently an 861IC. No trouble to use cameras, good value when discounted. Not thrilled with Cloud View, removed SecurView in favor of TrendnetView.

so the camera quality is subpar, also the streaming speed is really slow, we have our dog in a hotel in Los Angeles, we drove up to Sacramento for the weekend, and we can't even view her. I'm guessing the distance range is too far. so it's crap if you're going out of town to view the video.

I just purchased this app for my TV-IP662WI and everything is working great except for the video record button when im viewing it from my smart phone. The current micro sd inserted right now on the cam is only 4gb just for the purpose of testing and its not recording but I can snapshot and stores on my local sd card on my phone. I think Im missing a step or something. Any advise is greatly appreciated.
