CNET for Android
CNET, please get over your Trump hatred and stop alienating half of your audience. Stick to what you do best and write tech reviews and articles that I have always enjoyed. Your candidate lost because of her unpresadanted (sic) corruption and disdain for half of the country.
Most of the time the links don't work. Like you can't open up an article to read. Also tables showing comparable data within an article, like specs of multiple computers cannot be viewed correctly. All in, for a tech blog, this is pretty poorly implemented.
CNET needs to focus on tech news and stop dabbling in politics. I'm uninstalling them because I'm tired of seeing liberal slanted hit jobs on Trump. These stories have nothing to do with technology.
Cnet is supposed to be tech related news.....Stop using it to spread your liberal views. Keep politics out of it. How dare you alert my phone to tell me that tech is against Trump. What a waste of my time!! Let's worry about what you are here for....to tell me the new smartphones and such
The reviews are totally not up to date. The second highest rated product in my simple search for a laptop was a macbook pro from 2011. And you can't even filter by tech specs. Edit March 1st in reply to cnet: I have uninstalled and can't retrace exact, but basically I searched for laptops using some criteria and sorted by rating. The second entry was from 2011. And - you need to add more search criteria.
Formerly great tech publication that got infested with SJWs who bark racist racist sexist racist Nazi, instead of doing there job (which is writing about tech and nothing else). With SJW, you ALWAYS lose.
The app sometimes seems not to accept taps or the article is only partly there. Very frustrating. I love CNET content but not on this app.
The app is fine. But there is problem with in app browser. It doesn't open any links and doesn't play any video.. using this app on my phone..
Info is okay; slanted political opinions inserted way too often though. Uninstalled.
My phone was playin up untill i uninstalled this app figured this was the culprit after the app itself was playin up htc m8
It's C-NET, It's Excellent ! Accept it and go on. Some day we will Rule the World with Science!
Requires restart nearly every use. Frequently required force end program. Mostly unusable now.
Fix your slow laggy app, its slow a loading articles and the comments section which sometimes won't load at all, this is unacceptable for Android, the world's most advanced and popular platform.
Used to be good.. Now has gone political on me. Can we get back to tec?
Liberal CRAP, what else would you get from San Francisco.
For a tech news company, quite an unreliable (buggy) app.
Stupid vibrate and sound notifications for a tech news app. Annoying.
I use your app to read something other than politics, get rid of the politics
Gave this app 3 stars because it does not have subtitles
I am very much pleased with the performance and vitality of this app
Good day
Great info always current
Most of the time it works, but it's slow to load on my brand new nexus 6p. And sometimes when you tap on the articles it just won't open them unless you close and reopen the app. Could use some improvement.
Great app for reading articles. However if you don't quit the app after using it, it will drain my battery. Today the CPU foreground is at 6 minutes. CPU total is over 2 hours.
In spite of the issues I LOVE CNET ❤
The news app that you can relate.
This is my favorite app. It's what I go to when I'm with my Gf shopping or getting her hair done.
So far so good!
It's good
WHY DO I HAVE TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL EVERY SINGLE MONTH? Constant crashes, bugs and freezing going back to 2013. Your app is the only one that does this consistently. It's literally the buggiest app in the Play Store. Do you even do any testing, like AT ALL? Are you guys run by Trump? I guess we shouldn't expect you can afford to build an app that actually works for more than a couple of weeks. You people are pathetic and incompetent.
I was hoping that the latest update would fix some bugs, but now I can't even open the app. Splash screen loads then flashes white. Splash screen attempts to load again then flashes white again. Continuous cycle. Updates are supposed to fix problems, not create them! Using unlocked Samsung S7 Edge Olympic edition. No carrier affiliation. Edit: So, it seems the server issue was fixed so that the app can now be opened. However, the app is soooo slow. The comments now take forever to open.
Second time I'm having to un-install and reinstall. One would think that it would work after all the app updates prior to the Marshmallow update. Guess they just can't get it right, not good for a "technology" infomation/review app! I'm done!
I love this app, it's great for getting tech news about things I care about. It's always got new ways I can optimize my phone or learn about new phones or laptops.
The last update did not fix the video playback. The app will not play videos at all.
Both their app and website sucks when it comes to displaying content or for videos to play. Always have issues with content not loading or videos not being able to play.
world
T-Mo Galaxy S7 - I can't launch the app. I still get CNET article notifications but can't launch them from status bar and also can't manually launch app even after uninstall/reinstall. App just spins at loading screen and blinks every few seconds when I try to launch it...please fix!
The last update fixed the no Internet connection error message, my only complaint is that most charts don't scroll in the app and I can't switch to landscape mode for reading.
Instead of being sassy with your change logs in updates, fix the God damn app. Just Terrible. More buggy than many Alpha stage apps I've tested.

I used to open this app everyday on my lunch to read my news about the tech industry, now i feel like im reading a crappier fox news or msnbc with more ads and maybe a laptop review once a week. The only reviewer worth reading is Steve Guttenberg's audio reviews and thats not enough to keep me around anymore. (Also the app likes to crash a lot)
