Trec - Pilot

Trec is an Android supported application created for the purpose of a new research conducted in the department of Information Systems Engineering in collaboration with the Department of Geography in Ben Gurion University
.
The purpose of the study is to automatically identify movement types by using various smartphone sensors (GPS, accelerometer and gyroscope).

Participants are only required to select their type of movement: walking, bicycle, motorcycle, car, bus or train. The sensors data will be sent to TREC's servers with the selected movement type. Eventually the data will be analyzed to build algorithm.

The experiment will begin in March 12, 2013 at 12 pm.

Until then, participants are asked to install the application and understand its way of use.
