How the Mobile App works?
The food order facility through its mobile app is another feather in TravelKhana’s Cap. It works in the following simple steps:
First, you can download the Travelkhana App from Playstore on your Smartphone. On the first page, enter the train number or name and station of departure or you can simply key in the PNR number of your ticket.
The site throws open options of the menu: Examples are Vegetarian thali, Non vegetarian Thali, Pizza, Jeera rice and curry, Veg and Non-Veg., Biryani, Tandoori Naan and Chicken/ Paneer Curry or individual items like Curd Rice, Curry, Vegetables, Rice, Naan, etc. which can be ordered separately. In most places, local delicacies are on the menu. Usually, there is a minimum size of order from Rs. 300 and upwards.
Now you can place an order and view the total order, before confirming the order. Next step is to Sign in by providing name, mobile number and e-mail ID. Now you will get an SMS from TravelKhana on your phone, and you have to enter this code on the next page. You must now provide coach number and seat number.
Next, you have to proceed to the payments section. The page will show total amount to be paid and payment options- mainly Cash on Delivery or Online via Visa, Master card or Diner’s Club International card. After you make payment, you will be redirected to your bank’s website to confirm the transaction.
Now you have completed the whole process, and all you need is to wait for the food that will be delivered piping hot and delicious.

They are cheater and lier. It is an fraud app. I had order food and recieved few things missing and also food was not at all hot. For the same they charged me full amount. And if you are ordering for paneer or chicken, don't expect these in your plate. Because u may not find it along with other items missing as well. This is my honest review.

We had a pathetic experience using this service. On way back to Bangalore from Kerala, we ordered food using Travelkhana...first the order didn't get through then got a call. In spite of telling multiple times that we need veg noodles they served us chicken noodles. Apart from that we ordered roti & sabji, even that was of very bad quality. I'll not recommend this to anyone.

Worst service of all times, first of all dont expect the order to be delivered at station for which you have ordered and than after that they dont deliver the food which you have ordered instead they send you some random cheap quality food. After reading other reviews over here i feel that they don't want to improve only. Never considering using this service again.

It is fraud. It did not deliver food to me. Train No. 12979 DOJ - 5/Aug/2017 Coach/Birth - S1/7 Order no. - 1043323 It is fraud app. Please never use it. Indian Railwaya should Ban such kind of fraud applications. They switched off the phone also.
