About ParkAbility
ParkAbility, sustainable mobility and accessibility
ParkAbility is an application that provides a new service of info-mobility with the aim of improving the accessibility of facilities and services opened to the public, to persons with disabilities within cities, provinces and regions.
ParkAbility promotes social inclusion through the access at the places of interest (currently, there are only active categories of utility and entertainment), displaying all available information on their accessibility, including the possibility of finding the parking for people with disabilities near the selected destinationThe APP is helpful for persons with disabilities in respect of three important issues: Mobility, Participation and Territorial Development.
The main features offered by the APP are:
- Display of destinations on the map or on the list that are included in the categories.
- Display on the map of parking spaces close to the destinations.
- Display of information regarding the destinations, when are available (accessibility, open to the public, etc.).
- Indication of the number of parking spaces and their position.
- Distance from your geolocation to parking chosen.
- Navigation function from your geolocation to the parking.
ParkAbility is available only for the town of Rome and will soon be available for other Italian cities.
