Droid Scan Lite for Android
Besides being one of the most confusing apps I have ever put into an electronic device, and hours trying to get a business document jpeg converted to a PDF format so I can email it to the company, I finally found a user manual. Guess what? Down in the middle of the manual it states that creating a PDF file is a Pro version feature. Say what? The whole reason I downloaded this app was to try it out and generate a PDF file. Most unintuitive app and some seriously false advertising. Doing computers since 1984. In response to your reply. Thank you. I am corrected about the PDF part of your app. The rest of the issue stands as I described. Most unintuitive app I have ever used. You need to start with a clean slate and make ALL of the tasks flow together. Much like CamScanner does. That app works great. You should at least try to copy them somewhat.
Helpful and useful to those that have it. -
Although the edge detection and color correction are pretty great, the UX is absolutely terrible. Too many options right in your face and a file manager that breaks all possible conventions, reminiscent of some obscure Windows XP programs.

Very poor UI
But I appreciate the small footprint above all.
This is a nice, simple scanner app that does what it's supposed to, and doesn't try too many other fancy stuff. Plus, it's free AND ad-free! PDF isn't supported, but jpeg export is good enough for me ;)
Don't see the point. If I want to keep a record of something, I always take a pic. This is unnecessary and totally unintuitive UI
Exceptional!
Its very useful
App is small which is good but not intuitive. Can't create PDF
Cool app.like it...
Do not waste time. No stars
Does not create pdf.
so, why is the scanned picture get darken than the original?

Gud app..
It does what it says, the edge detection works decently when scanning white documents over a dark background. It fail in the opposite case, but it is not too hard to do manually. On the other hand the project and import initial windows are a mess, very hard to navigate not intuitive at all. Luckily almost every function is repeated on almost every screen, so if you keep sliding you'll eventually find it
Great app. Little hard to learn at first
Not bad, but could use some optimization.
Great app for scanning and storing receipts and business cards that are otherwise lying around and get lost.
I download and compared Droid scan with Camscanner and Handy scanner, and I got a notably better result. Also, I found Droid scan to give me the most control over brightness, contrast, and color settings for my purposes. (I use it for scanning drawings.) I've yet to find an option to edit said settings after completing the process. Hopefully it's just an oversight on my part.
I am pretty much a technodinosaur but this is a very friendly user app. As with n e app u have to play w/it 4 a while til u understand its in n outs. Does a few things my DROID 2 camera doesnt. Dont understand it all yet n not real proficient with it yet but I think its cool n takes b.tchin' pics with ability to easily adjust their flaws to better quality. Not photo'd a doc w/words yet..that rating n comment to come. Thanks to google for this free app. Happy new year n all Downloaders have fun with this
Just looking for time to learn to use it better...Ok had some time and it is especially great at adjusting images of pages from books, simply scan and share to your printer via google print, you may never use your scanner again!
lite version. does the job the way i want it to. i find the crop method it uses more practical for my usage. recommended app 5/5. using galaxy tab p3110
Very helpful couldn't run my business with out it.
I think that I got this so I could use a free bar code scanner app. It seems to work okay. I'm not a power android user, but the menu system is a bit baffling. Why not put an icon or link for the camera app on the start page? If I had another wish, it would be to blacken the screen just before image capture. (My glasses reflect the screen.)
Lite looks good so I'm upgrading to pro!
Average performance but this has a very complicated usage and storage process that kind of negates the need for a far efficient portable scan program.
Nice apps for my Sony xperia ..... I like it...
I like its helps me because l am new at this
fabulous! Simple, elegant and functional to every bit of claimed abilities! What a pleasure to use and recommend! Thanks! It does exactly what is declared in description.
Constant crashes. Nothing works.
Takes a poor quality photo and then it turned into a mess. Wouldn't crop properly. Primitive
Every time i capture and try to scan a photo it automatically becomes darker
The scanner retains all the important features for a good camera scanner like : Auto perspective adjustment/cropping and auto enhance Great features: auto perspective adjustment works like a pro scans to JPG and all in one place. Areas of improvement are the interface and resolution. Both can be improved.
Works well
I was able to do what I wanted. :)
Not all the time (not sure why . . ?) but sometimes when i scan a document (cld b a size issue) it lets me set all the settings, but then the app stops after i prompt it to finalize the scan. This is annoying. Other docs it works alright with. But if it doesn't like one doc, it keeps on stopping from finalizing. Is it a size issue? & if so, can u fix it, or do i have to downsize the doc before scanning it?? Pls fix. Otherwise, fantastic app!!!
