TrackMyFast 5:2 Diet for Android
Really useful, it's certainly been critical to my dieting success. Can be improved with better barcode info and more food items. The weight graph is totally rubbish, so I use another app to monitor that. Still well worth using overall, though.
So slow!! Doesnt let you enter any details, no recipes come up!? When i try to enter food like my fitness pal nothing comes up! What have i paid for?
It is not working on the food database the basic functionality so this really is not good. Also the email to contact developer is not working. I really wanted this to work.
It seems crazy to pay for this app when "My Fitness Pal" is free and can provide so much more information such as the total protein, fat and sugar content of foods consumed which this app does not. I can not find out how to update my weight without overwriting the start weight. There is no exercise or water calculator and the "Help" function does not work. It's not worth paying for in my opinion. The only benefit is that this app allows you to set your calorie intake at 600 on fast days which most other apps will not. With improvement this has the potential to be a great app.
Update: Doesn't work when you update your fast days. It repeatedly defaults to the ones you had before. Uninstalling. It's a shame because I'd pay money for a good app but this isn't it.
I have been using this for a week now, and I am finding it very useful. The barcode reader for logging foods works very nicely.
Good way to keep track of your calories on a fast day and your measurements throughout. Love the recipes section too.
Please fix.
Help does not work, certain foodstuff can not be added, only English food is standard available, I call this cheating.
It does everything I thought it would do.
Not bad but needs progress. Seems a bit old-fashioned. Foods are missing
I like the app it is helpful to record intake . Also able to add recipes.
I think it is great for me.
Well I found you couldnt add yourself and it was hard not to fast but find all things you have to eat
No bar codes recognised even for obvious UK items. Library small and won't let me add new items (and you have to scroll through loads of options before it gets to the option). No option to create your own recipe of commonly combined ingredients.
It's a decent enough app, but it's a bit annoying that it doesn't let you enter water into your food diary as it would be nice to track how much I'm drinking. It would also be good if it showed how much nutrion you are getting from foods and it would be good if it reminded you to weigh yourself every week
The thing that annoys me most about this ap is not being able to add 0 calories like when you add water it crashes. It is frustrating that you report the fault and get no feedback and also I have emailed the help address about something else and no one replies!!! If they did I would happily give 5 as it works quite well.
Easy to use. Like the upfront reminders of what day, weight loss. Flexible!
I would like to be able to track water intake. Also, I have trouble adding zero calorie items to my food list. I understand they don't come off my title but I'd like to track exactly what I'm eating. Lastly it would be good to be able to group items & "make a meal". This would be easier for frequent foods.
I only use the measuring and charting sections of the app. Which I love especially the graph. I do not count calories so I have no need for the remainder.
Update: currently evaluating alternatives. I'd love to install again but had to reset my phone recently and have lost all my data yet again. Before I reject this app could you tell me if you are planning to add a data export / backup / sync function any time soon? Generally a very good application. Some great features but lacks the ability to share data with or even move data to other devices. Sharing / syncing via cloud storage (Google Drive or DropBox) would be perfect, but at the very least there should be an export/import feature. I upgraded my phone and lost all historical data.
Like it but needs a bigger database and the ability to add calories in the recipe builder and a fast add for just calories for when you need to log an amount quickly.
Can't do much with it. No food database.. where is there any help?
Unable to use in the USA does not recognize our food codes and no quick calorie adder to enter calories counts you already know. I contacted developer with my recommendations. How to see that, I'd love to use this app!
Brill app keeps me well in track of what I'm eating..well recommend
I really don't like this app. You can't scan foods to log what you have eaten because it doesn't recognise the bar codes. Everything has to done by hand which is a pain. Don't install this app. My fitness plan is so much better.
I have found most foods that I have been eating, however I have not worked out recipes and as others say, to add a meal and 0 foods would be helpful.
Food database is just all right, but the measures section works well, and logging in the diary is straightforward.
Doesn't have correct calories. And freezes
The app itself is excellent but I'm not giving the 5 stars because of the recepies. I think some work could be done. For example you have today's pics. They are the recepies for today, I'm going to go ahead and presume they are the favorite recepies?? They have been today's pics since I downloaded the app. Also, a shopping list would come in handy.
Needs more UK food logged onto the food search but other then that it's a great app
Really useful tool while on 5:2 or any calorie control diet. Large food database and brilliant measurements help keep track of your food intake.I personally love that app! Xx
Far better out there
I found this a great app and I have used it everyday
Great!
Was easy to use & now is not. Plus stops working & needs internet for adding foods??
This is a good app keeps me on track of what I am eating. Only fault is that it keeps crashing
Love it
TrackMyFast is easy and efficient to use, simple to update and brings data together in a Status report that is both edifying and encouraging. Great app! Pity it doesn't sync with any other device.

The food database is very restricted when compared to other applications of a similar nature. Not able to put a personal custom recipe that would serve as a work around to not being able to put in raw calories looked up using other applications. Should be able to put in a generic calorie count when it is not possible to find food in the database.
