About TrackBlue
Welcome to TrackBlue. Use TrackBlue to inventory and locate your business’s physical assets, know whether they are moving or idle, and even capture their operating environment details such as temperature. At your option, the TrackBlue application can send the beacon data to a cloud database for analysis and processing. The TrackBlue application requires TrackBlue beacons featuring Bluetooth Smart wireless communication (TrackBlue beacons sold separately). TrackBlue beacons do not have to pair with your device but you must have Bluetooth turned on.
Each found beacon will display a blue box on your screen containing the ID of the beacon (you can tap on the box and name your beacon tag), the time the application last received a signal from that beacon, and other pertinent information including battery status and signal strength (RSSI). The RSSI is from 0 to 5 in half unit increments, 5 indicating very close and 0 indicating a distant read (up to 200 feet away).
The beacon box will change colors from blue as follows:
Red – indicates the asset is in motion
Yellow – indicates the application no longer sees the beacon
Green – double-tap detected on the beacon (for customized usage)
Use the circle arrow on the top menu to reset the readings.
From the Settings screen you can customize application settings such as the target database service (or operate without a cloud connection). When you are connected to a cloud database a blue cloud appears on the top right of the main application screen. You can also adjust the distance that the application is looking for beacons down from the 200 foot maximum.
