TracFone My Account

Helps keep my phone service from expiring and helps manage my phones' air-time. Minus a half a star for initial difficulty at installation, and MINUS two and a half stars for costing a unit per text on top of data usage fees!!! WTF IS THAT!!! Edit* !! Paid for a year added to My service date at fifty bucks a pop and not a @$!#ing thing. Further edit: Widget broken AGAIN, yes again, though WiFi "optimizer" no longer eats battery and bandwidth. So I give up. There is no hope for a truly good app. Paidfor=get

I agree with others who think this app is garbage. It rarely works. It says "sorry something went wrong, try again. " over and over. When it does work it takes an eternity to update and show your current minutes etc. I agree that it is pretty pathetic for a company to keep this app the way it is and not fix it especially after all the terrible reviews. I like tracfone service but they really need to improve this app as well as thier web site, frankly. Pathetically terrible, tracfone, get it together!

For the past YEAR I have had nothing but grief with this app especially their widget and account management. Now their recent update locks up the internet when it fails to log in the first time. I had to uninstall this app just to write this review. If you have some money on you I would switch services before this provider crashes and burns.

You need to upgrade this app.. It won't let me sign in and I've been trying to check my minutes for the past 5 days.

Works for me. Occasionally it doesn't seem to give me updated time.

I love my the service and I always stay with it thank you.

Pease improve the app and customer service. It is very poor.

update Nov 2016...app doesn't have any of the issues in my initial review which is nice to know I can rely on the widget. It would earn 5 stars if it would update over Wi-Fi. As of now, only having data turned on allows the info to update. Original review....Will not update, even when manually prompted. Reinstalling does not work. I've had the a app for 2 years and it's worked maybe 4 times when first installed.

I just added a 1 year card to my account. It would not show on the app and customer service tells me I need to download the app in order to see my minutes, data, etc. I HAVE THE APP already. This is the first time this has happened and it's ridiculous and not really worth the one star I gave you.

This app should only be used to manage my Tracphone account and checking the remaining minutes and or service days of the phone. For Pete's sake, get rid of all the extra crap in this app. Stay out of my phone. I don't want you touching my wifi for "optimization" purposes. I don't want you accessing my location for freaking store recommendations. Got rid of this crap. Stay focused on you goal: letting me check minutes on my smartphone.

UPDATE: App has improved. Widget updates more consistently. Still not 100% reliable, but you can always check the last updated time to know if you are looking at the most up-to-date info on your minutes. New app never updates no matter how long you wait. This is waaaaaay to complicated to do something so simple as showing a balance.

I cannot even log in not to mention that I spent an hour chatting with a TracFone representative for absolutely no help at all. Why issue someone an email when they haven't had a chance to register it or even create a password? Somebody didn't do their homework I just got to suffer I guess. I need some Excedrin.

Thought it was all straighted out but it not ...it worse than before and still can't log in. Ready to shoot the phone to pieces and dump tracfone and now they added a number that not mine. Customer service sucks and don't understand english or read it. Tried online chat and tried talking to live person that was a mistake. Tracfone you took something that was simple and easy to use and turned it into a nightmare.

I bought a new phone and --REFUSE-- to install this app. It was constantly turning my WiFi on and draining my battery. Called customer service and they don't have a clue. And why would Tracfone need access to everything in my phone including pictures and websites? Probably the last phone I'll buy or else I'll go back to the flip models where my data shows on the phone with no problem.

I love tracfone but this app is trash. It never works on one tap. And 1 out of 10 times it says oops something is wrong. How can any company let this bad app continue more than 1 year. Update... Same problems...... It has been few month since my rating. Now with another update. Same issues. Can anyone from software department fix this simple software???? Really??? .....Now it is December. I upgraded to new tracfone. Same problem. Actually it is worse. I really think this could possibly the worst app ever.

This app still has not been fixed..... And this service from Tracfone is horrible.... The app told me i had no data left on my account while i was usging my own wifi..... What? Then i buy a 1 GB data card through this app and still have to contact them to have the purches added to my account..... I already had 1 gb of data but their app messed up and they didnt want to admit it.... This app is starting to look more-and-more like a scam.

This should only do one thing, and it doesn't even do that. I haven't been able to get a summary of my balance since Christmas Eve, and TracFone support has been pretty much useless. In fact I can't even get a balance when I log in with my home PC. Doubt I'll keep the service if I have to call every time I want to check. Not sure what happened but I'm not too happy with the service

Since last update app has given me many issues. Hope next update solves them. Login failure all the time . have to clear app data and start over again every time I want to see balance or add airtime . please fix the app

No one could figure out why I wasn't getting text messages or had no data even though it showed I paid for both. I was FORCED to do a factory reset loosing all of my pictures and contacts. This is after I called customer service 4 different times. Not happy

My ZTE tracfone is a lemon. It turns itself on and off randomly and gets stuck in apps and it NEVER SLEEPS. I've seen reviews of this model so TracFone was aware of the problems before selling it to me. I am reporting this to the better business bureau.

Now it doesn't update the usage of my phone i.e. data, minutes, text left. So, I called, they told me to wait 24 hours, I waited 24 hours. I called again, I have to wait ANOTHER 24 hours. Can not wait for my mins to run out!

Today I puchased airtime and extended 30 day. The sms gave me an update of my mins text etc with the end date. But the apps only correct on the end date. Even the website Balance info is wrong. How are you suppose to accurately manage your usage. Last year same problem, was on call with tech support for over two hours. Never truly fixed the problem then and likely another long tech support call. Please can i just get sms balance instead.

Tried to set up account and it gives you some weird e-mail log-in and no password, making it impossible to log-in. The e-mail isn't real so you can't retrieve password and there wasn't a set up option in the beginning. So if there was a password, it's never given. And since my number is now associated with this, I can't try to re-do it. Meaning I just can't ever have an account. So... Thanks for nothing.

I can't check minutes, messages or my data... I need to be able to check them. Update this version and Still having problems. Sometimes it asks to log in and other Times it doesn't. Fix this problem.....

I installed this app, went to open it and it wants to install additional software i don't want and can't decline. Never would have installed it if I had known. Cannot even open the app. Uninstalling.

Don't understand why SafeLink customers cannot have a Tracfone Account. How are we supposed to check our balance and manage our accounts not to mention we're not getting the discount for being a recurring customer? Needs to be fixed or I definitely wouldn't recommend Tracfone. Just don't make sense to me!

I have consistently had to uninstall and reinstall several times to get my balance. Tech support can only tell you do keep reinstalling. Since the last few updates, the app has been useless.

I too was sent a new phone and took hour to set up. Then I was charged 175 minutes to set it up and 150 minutes of texts which I did not send. I like the old, simple phone that is just for calling. Will probably throw this in the trash while I'm still ahead and stick with a land line. Dido.......If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Glitchy mess. The totals remaining on data, calls and texts are wrong too often. When I first had Tracfone they put your remaining balance on the screen and it was right.

Need to clear cache and data uninstall reinstall power off power on to get the app to work. Logging in with Facebook just gives Facebook more info with which to aggravate you. Talk about a false news outlet.

The application does not work. TracFone is a wonderful company, I believe there is plenty of room for improvement for this app. The app needs to be just for minutes remaining, the other functions are not so useful. I hope TracFone can improve this app so that it can be useful to its users one day.

I have more than one tracfone (go figure) and when i go to check my balance for this phone it constantly changes which phone number it gives the info on.

This app is pure junk. It works exactly one time, then when I attempt to get it to refresh it always says "response error" . This used to be a working, and quite useful app, but then it was updated and the "fixes" destroyed it's functionality. To use It I must remove the app and then reinstall it. Then it will work one time only. I will try to find a third-party app. This one is useless junk.

Too many hoops to jump through just to get set up, and then I was really lost. Don't fix it if it's not broke. I liked when it when it was simple. This one's almost got me wanting to quit on Tracfone altogether if it's this irritating just to see my remaining minutes. This is ridiculous.......Updated. Still complicated, still won't refresh right, widget still useless, customer care still a joke, Still ridiculous! Seriously...If you're not going to fix this app, at least put it back like it was. At least then it wasn't such a pain to use. Have to sign in every time I use it and have to hit refresh 50+ times just to check my minutes. My opinion of this app continues to get worse. If I could give negative stars, I would!

I like new update, can also swipe to see other phones ON same account email. Widget Update coming??? Not playing nice with Android 7.0 now, hope 7.1 works better

Widget now works after reboot! Good job! Now why does XPrivacy say that you want my clipboard, system control, and a shell?

Takes forever to refresh up to date info from widget and app. I have to press "refresh" dozens of times and maybe I'll get a good result. Been like this since the beginning. So that's a drag but of course adding airtime is easy(money).
