Straight Talk Data Settings

I've had intermittent issue receiving pics on my phone. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Could be the same pic sent over and over and then randomly goes thru. Unfortunately this app didn't help and just says try again later.

Really too bad that I have to give this attempt at an app even 1 star...Developers should probably tell customers BEFORE they download this stupid app that it DOES NOT work with CDMA phones. Not everyone has a SIM card....what is with Straight Talk lately? It was once the PERFECT alternative to contract cell phone service- now I can't even download an mms...SERIOUSLY considering revisiting VERIZON.

I have had this app for a while and never use it. I downloaded it thinking it would make everything easier with adding minutes but it doesn't work. I waited until the update and it still doesn't work. This is simply a waste of space app. Anything it gives you an option to do you can do on your phone with other apps.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL REGRET IT! I have had them for 4 years. Got a new sim, phone went down, spent DAYS arguing with them. Was told they would compensate me with 18 service days. Never got it. Just was told by manager that their customer service rep lied and they will not honor his commitment. Asked for a supervisor, they hung up on me after 36 mins! Trust me, you do not want this kind of treatment or service. Save yourself the trouble and terrible customer lack of service, I found outhard.

Always says to try again in an hour or so. An update for St, I do not have a new Balance widget, and I called support and they told me that I had to just wait and try again later... This is the best app ever!

All I wanted was a good, nice, and reliable service provider... Straight talk is the exact opposite. I have spent hours trying to correct my APN settings but fail everytime. (yes Straight Talk I have used your official website.) This app is just another one of ST ways to make money. I suggest you pay a little extra for a service that would be 100× better. Unless ST somehow helps me with this and all the other crap I had to go through I will NEVER use this service again and will NEVER suggest it to anyone!!!

Data app doesn't. Says oops, go to site, which then goes to Google play to install app...that I already have! Definitely going to cancel this service and stick with ATT. BETTER SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I want Americans, not Arabs.

Straight Talk has the worst customer service there is. They don't know what the hell they are doing and they can't speak English either. Going back to Verizon!

The app doesn't even work smh thanks for ripping me off knowing there is no real solution besides telling me to call or visit another website just to be given the run around YET again. Honestly could have paid for a cheaper plan that didn't involve the price for data that I obviously can't use. Definitely never using straight talk again. -5 stars

This app has never worked. It needs to be removed. I've always had to go to the site or call for assistance. Not all devices are listed. This provider is only good for their prices. Which they need to advertise every 30 days and not say $$per month. The months which have 31 days you lose 1 day from your plan. What's that all about?

I've downloaded this app three times. The first time. Didn't work. Uninstalled and tried again. Still didn't work. Uninstalled. Tried again a month later because I needed to change my APN. *still* didn't work. it told me, even after 5+ tries over the course of the last 24 hours, that the service is unavailable, that I will have better luck if i tried again in an hour. Right. App doesn't work, at least for me.

Spent 2 plus hours on phone with straight talk I still am not able to resolve this. Service for 3 years and one day 3 weeks ago my net/data service stopped working. Still no resolution yet. Wifi zone is the only time I have service. Wish I had never purchased this phone $500 and it stopped working. Straight talk is the worst CS I've seen. THIS APP DID NOT HELP AT ALL.

Downloaded this app because I cannot receive pic messages on my phone. It just keeps telling me oops this isn't working try in an hour and the guy for straight talk customer service was absolutely no help and honestly was an idiot. I will not be renewing this service once my month is up. I'll be going with a different company.

Straight talk has great service unless you have to contact tech support. Then it is useless. I paid extra for 10 gigs of service and only used about 2 because of horrible service. NO REFUND NO APOLOGY NO HELP. I hate all caps but hate having to use this service because the only thing worse is Verizon. Ignore the supposed friendly offer of help below. It does absolutely nothing.

This app never works. No matter what, it always gives me the "oops, try again later or go to the site". The site redirect doesnt have anything even remotely related to fixing your apn. Come on guys, I'd love to be able to use my phone.

This app does not work. I've downloaded a few times and called customer service and it still does not work. I wish I could get my money back because I can't even use the data so it's really a waste. It's a shame that I can only enjoy my phone around WiFi. Thumbs down for this app.

I have had straight talk for a few years, this app never worked on any phone. It does absolutely nothing but take up space. Best bet is go online and search for the settings or call their customer service number

I was unable to RECEIVE MMS on my Moto X after porting my number from Verizon. I entered the APN settings provided on the website and followed all directions to the letter but it still did not allow my phone to receive MMS. I installed this app, followed the directions, and voila!! I can now receive MMS without any issues.

was on the phone with straight talk for 3 day still had problems with internet. Massaging and calling found out about the app tried it my lg g2 has been working great thank you app maker vary happy and the pic messages is not the there flat it's on the other end

I was comparing my t mobile setup with straight talk Access Point names I saw that the apn type was empty so I matched it with the t-mobile APN type. Typed in the APN type with the same APN type with t-mobile since this is a tmobile phone and saved it next thing you know I have picture messaging. So for all of you that can't get picture messaging try to put this in (default,mms,supl) in the APN type I can't promise you that I will work but its worth a try

Downloaded several different time and tried using it, always tells me to go to their website...big thumbs down! I went from perfect service using straight talk (att towers) to no service for 3 days now. Contacted att too and no problems so it's obviously something with straight talk, same on husbands phone!

Dont bother with anything straight talk. You will be buying nothing. None of their services work. This app doesnt work. Their data doesnt work. Their tech support doesnt work. Nothing works. I am switching to Verizon or maybe Ting immediately. I have never been more unsatisfied with any company in my life.

I'm using an at&t go phone, running android 5.1, and I can't get the data to work. I called their customer service, who told me that i needed to update my APN settings. As it turns out, the app gave me the same "oops" error, so I entered the settings manually. Not only were they virtually IDENTICAL to my old at&t settings, but entering them as a new APN did absolutely no good whatsoever. Now I know why they're so cheap...you get what you pay for

On the Atrix II, it updated the settings fine, on this Moto E 2nd gen 4g? It just gives an error, doesn't even tell me the settings to enter. Still was able to get them from the Atrix at least.

What is ur deal? I have been with straight talk for years and always end up with the short end of the stick!!! If I can't use my phone the I won't and need for my job and personal life why in the hell should I stay with yall??!!! To bad I can't give a O for the app and ur service!!!

You are better off getting the settings for your specific phone on their website than trying to use this app. It sent no notifications even though I followed the instructions to create a new APN.

I got a bring your own phone pack and I can call and text anyone (roaming) but can't do anything else without WiFi. This is a 4g phone and I'm paying for unlimited data that I can't use. As a customer for the past 3 years I'bm not very happy.

Had to go through the motions twice, but this was a real life saver. I bought a nano SIM card for my BlackBerry and a SIM adapter to replace into my Note 3 so I could use both devices. Apparently, the new SIM required new apn settings. Couldn't find the correct settings online, but this app saved the day! Thanks, Dev!

I byop. The first month fine. I pd for the 50 dollar plan. No data,no pics,slow Internet the sec time. They said I used all my data within 24hrs of pay bill. Get outta here!

U have to have Wi-Fi before u can use it or u can't even start the app. Didn't get it the first time, but after going through it again, I finally understood what I was suppose to do.

They both lack any understanding that people don't buy cell phones and pay for services so that they can control their cell phones. You lost a customer I'm going back to contract service and telling everyone I know not to get Straight talk!

I've tried this app on several different phones and I get the same error message on each one. This app is a joke. Don't waste your time or memory.

I tap on the Go and it's says error try again in a hour or go to straight talk Web site. Been doing this for months. Please fix it.

This is not straight talks fault. Newer versions of Android have security settings that prevent third-party applications from installing various codes and settings, that might be a virus. That means this app cannot auto install your data settings. You need to manually insert the settings in the proper fields. It is quite easy to do, after you do it the first time. If you get stuck, simply call straight talk and they will walk you through the process. You can also go to the website and see how it's done.

So i downloaded thinkin i could keep track of my data usage better but after downloading and wasting data on that it asks me for a sim card...I'm not using a sim card the description should tell u sim card required. Rated 1 star cuz i can't rate a 0 UNINSTALLING
